Wonderful, phenomenal...I was out of town while my 14 year old border collie, Pepper passed away last week. It was sudden & unexpected as she was perfectly healthy for her age. Pepper has been with me half my life. The longest we've been apart is while I was deployed.The outstanding senior doggy care center where I left her while I was away for four days took her to VCA as they were the only ones open. Unfortunately VCA did what they do best - make matters worse. VCA was unorganized and couldn't clearly explain the next steps in the process to take care of my girl after she passed. They also could not, would not? give me much information.Sorrento Valley Pet Cemetery was wonderful. Knowing my girl was picked up within 12 hours of passing (just happened to be a regular schedule) gave me reassurance she was in good hands and with people I could trust. I had a few phone calls with multiple staff members here after VCA dropped the ball. They were well-organized, timely, professional, compassionate, kind, and empathetic. Everything you need when handling a situation like this. They confirmed all of my information (which VCA had incorrect - because they never verified), confirmed all the sentimental pieces I ordered, and then compassionately placed a hold on my account and offered me a viewing of her since I was still out of town.They did her up so well. Their business is in a good location, clean & beautifully kept interior, exterior, and cemetery. They even had a few dogs in the office which was a pleasant surprise. I called prior to leaving the house like they asked so they could appropriately set a viewing up for me. Upon arrival they directed me towards a small chapel where they had her. They had placed her upon a linen covered table, with a neat dog bed, and clean blanket. The room had mock stained glass, a candle, chairs, and tissue. They respected my time and privacy. I was a bit of a mess leaving. They offered me more time, the hold to remain on the account for processing her, and a beverage if it was wanted. They even called afterwards to confirm how I would like all 4 of her paw prints I ordered - as if she were standing or all individually.Their automated text message is a little abrupt with the wording but it is straightforward to be clearly understood. In less than a week I am taking my best friend of 15 years home with me.

This company is great. My cat of 18 years passed away. The box and paw print both had his name engraved on it. His ink nose print was so well done. There communication throughout the whole process is amazing.

Could not be more grateful to Jerry and Sorrento Valley Pet Cemetery.Last Saturday, we had to put our Lola Girl down. Even writing these words feels surreal. We are brokenhearted.As you try to decide what is best for your pet friend, I want you to know that the kindness that was shown to us by Jerry knows no bounds.Circumstances meant that we would not be at the Cemetery until 11:30 PM. I expected to have to wait when we got there, but Jerry was there waiting for us. He was kind and patient and comforting. He acted as if leaving his own family in the middle of the night to meet us was no problem at all.When we initially spoke on the phone, he asked if I wanted a paw print. Since I was a mess and not very clear, he made one just to be safe. I was so grateful. (I actually had thought I would not want one, but I was so wrong! I love it.)We asked to pick up Lola right away. Not only was she ready to be picked up the next day, they only charged us 1/2 the rush fee. The receipt said it was becuase they were able to adjust their schedule to include Lola.They didn't have to tell us that, but instead, they gave us a discount.This is the worst moment for all of us pet parents, but we were so blessed that we chose Sorrento Valley Pet Cemetery.I just hope this review helps someone else as they are moving through such a difficult moment in time.

I lost my bearded dragon a few weeks ago and was recommended by a friend to bring my baby girl here. I am so thankful that she did because I had a wonderful experience, despite the sadness of the situation. The staff was welcoming and supportive (even when I embarrassingly broke down crying a few times in the lobby), and they gave me a lot of options to preserve my Beardie’s memory. They communicated with me through email and text and let me know right away that she was ready to be picked up. The bamboo box she was put in is very well made, and the body imprint they did of her claws and tail was just perfect! This time I cried happy tears being able to hold and touch a part of my Beardie again. I am happy to have my girl back home, and I’m glad that she was so well taken care of. Thank you again to the staff here for helping me and all the families who have lost a beloved pet.

The staff at Sorrento Valley Pet Cemetery were so wonderful. This was my first experience with the loss of a pet, my cat of 21 years finally crossed over the rainbow bridge. I wasn't sure what to do, but the staff at Sorrento Valley Pet Cemetery were so helpful, caring and patient. The information they provided was clear and made it easy to process during a difficult time. When I picked up my cat's remains, they presented it in a beautiful bag, with cute paw decorated ribbon, so much thought went into the presentation. The box my cat was in is perfect. It's small, natural and just what we hoped for. Thank you to everyone at Sorrento Valley Pet Cemetery, what a wonderful place to say goodbye to your furry family members.

The staff at Sorrento Valley Pet Cemetery is wonderful. After a traumatic experience with a pet cremation service in Palm Springs, I chose to drive several hours to have my beloved rescue dog cremated at Sorrento Valley Pet Cemetery after speaking with them on the phone. Everyone at Sorrento Valley was incredibly kind, respectful, and patient, and my sweet little dog was treated with dignity and care. I highly recommend everyone there. The whole staff helped make a terribly sad time a little easier because of their kindness and compassion. They truly care.

I cannot say enough about this place. I have been going to a different pet cemetery for the last 15 years but I will now only go here. What an unbelievable package I received when my animal was returned. He was not only in his Urn but to my heartfelt surprise his name was on a plate on the top and this company made an imprint of his paw and gave me something to remember him by with live flowers to plant. Forgetting all the extras, I could tell and feel that this was takin very good care of, each bow is perfect the tissue paper was perfect, The bag was perfect everything was perfect. Thank you so much My heart bleeds but now with a side smile.

Top Notch Service! From the minute I talked to the first person who answered the phone (sweet soft voice) til the moment I walked away with my baby, they were the Coolest!! I screwed them all up and they had to make 2 trips to my place and they didn’t even charge me.. seriously with gas prices they could have charged me something but when I went in to the establishment this too Awesome older gentlemen said no not to worry about it. That’s $100!!! (That I didn’t have) I’ve been coming here since 2007 (they even did my bird 🦜) and they’ve always been nothing, But patient and understanding with me and that’s saying a lot, cause when my babies are called by God I don’t function so well… so thanks from the bottom of my heart for your generosity and your kindness….💜💜💜💜I’ll B back next time… 😢😢😢

I have been bringing my beloved family's pets to this facility since the 1980's. They have always been caring and efficient without ever rushing you when you are grieving. They have a variety of merchandise that is fairly priced to make it easier for you to decide on mementos, ash remain holders, etc. One pet is buried at their cemetery. Most have been cremated. There have been wonderful upgrades to the grounds and Lobby. It is very beautiful here, not sterile. It helps when grieving. Also there is a little chapel. This is a first rate crematorium. I am a loyal customer. Unfortunately, I will be delivering another beloved pet today. I highly recommend this facility. I transport my pets to them for our final "bye-bye". Everyone is different. They also have vet/home pick up services. As Winnie the Pooh said "How lucky I am to have something that makes saying good bye so hard." Blessings to you.

It is tough to have a great memory when your long time pet and companion passes. Buddy passed at 12:08 AM and we had no idea what the next steps were. Our long time vet (and friend) had off-handedly suggested SVPC as an option when our time had come.As we lay in bed trying to contemplate our next moves, I fired up the laptop and took a look at the website. It all seemed straightforward and the business had amazing reviews. I figured that I would get up in the morning and head to Sorrento Valley.I showed up a few minutes prior to opening and pulled into a driveway. As I pulled in, there was a fluffy white poodle mix sitting perfectly at attention in the driveway. As if he was waiting for me. I backed in and parked and the white dog approached my truck. Seeing him immediately made me feel better. He introduced himself to me and could definitely smell my dog in the back of the truck. He definitely softened the mood.One of the employees approached my truck and we went through the initial part of the process. Everything was super easy with absolutely no pressure or any upselling. It was obvious that I couldn't figure out which paw print I wanted to add to my order and the gentleman offered to just give both to me for the price of just one. You can't even imagine how great this made me feel while I wasn't feeling so good.The employees make a difficult process very easy and efficient. I really appreciated the fact that I didn't have to worry any more about my long time friend.I can't say enough good things about how great of a job these folks do. Very caring and kind. I later learned that the fluffy white dog is Oliver. Oliver is an absolute all star!Thanks for taking such great care of us. Very tough time and it was made so much easier.

I have several dogs buried here including my childhood dog. Last month I buried Perla. I was a mess with grief. Gerry and the staff were absolutely wonderful. They allowed us to bury Perla on a Sunday so the family could be there. I would highly recommend this place to everyone

We picked up our pup, Nikki's, ashes today and were delighted with the beautiful wooden box with her name on it. We also got her paw print! They also gave us a wooden box for our dog who had died in 2011 in NY and put his name on it. What a wonderful, generous gesture! Thank you!

Amazing!!! Absolutely amazing costumer service!!! I had the pleasure of being helped by Jerry I was coming from a distance away and by the time I would’ve gotten there it would’ve been closed, he kindly stayed to help me out and arrange a beautiful cremation package, he was very empathetic and understanding of my dear animals loss, it’s a beautiful cemetery for animals I highly recommend bringing your animals here , Jerry is the best!! I think if you're in a business dealing with death you should be a very sensitive and empathetic person. When we come to pick up our dog's ashes we are devastated, overwhelmed with grief and incredibly sad for our loss of our precious babies. When he handed me over the box and had me verify the name on a piece of paper I said this is so depressing. This guy had this look on his face and actually looked at me and said why!!!No empathy, no understanding and I would never ever take a pet there again or recommend them to anybody who wants emotional support and a place that really cares.It's fine that maybe to those people they don't find it depressing and maybe they feel like death is inevitable so it's not a big deal but to those of us grieving it's everything to us and we feel like our heart just stoped beating.That should have been the last question when I said this was depressing why, should not have been anything that should have been said I am so upset now.There's lots of places you can take your animals to be cremated I would not have this place ever on the list!!!

Since 1984 we have brought 7 of our "girls" here and would not consider any other place. July 3 confirmed our feelings about Sorrento Valley Pet Cemetery when we brought our beautiful girl to be cremated. They asked us to bring in the ashes (in cardboard boxes) of our other 6 girls so they could exchange them into wood boxes at no charge. I couldn't believe it. Their kindness and consideration is beyond belief! What they did meant the world to me, especially since they certainly didn't have to do this. When considering the awful time to say good-bye, they will come in after hours if needed. Knowing this helped us considerably. During your time of utmost grief, you can definitely depend on this place to be there for you!

When a person is going through the loss of a pet it is so comforting to know that there is a place that will treat you and your pet with respect and dignity. The grounds are like a park with trees and grass and there is a small chapel for reflection. I have taken my pets to Sorrento Valley Pet Cemetery since 1982 and I always come home feeling uplifted and comforted.

I cremated my precious dog today and I was so nervous I've heard and read stories of businesses and or people dumping the bodies and giving dirt or anything other then your loved one. And this wonderful place really calmed me I was able to say my last goodbyes to my Bélla with my family and my brother was able to lay her down himself :( which was bittersweet. Sorrento Valley Pet Cemetary really has sweet surroundings I really liked that employees were very respectful and talked us through everything. Thank you so much SV pet cemetary

Amazing!!! Absolutely amazing costumer service!!! I had the pleasure of being helped by Jerry I was coming from a distance away and by the time I would’ve gotten there it would’ve been closed, he kindly stayed to help me out and arrange a beautiful cremation package, he was very empathetic and understanding of my dear animals loss, it’s a beautiful cemetery for animals I highly recommend bringing your animals here , Jerry is the best!! Thank you so much Jerry!!

They were under their estimate cost wise as well as when they said it would be done. They exceeded my expectations and that is hard to do! "Sprinkles" was 13.5 years and the first dog that I had to deal with dying. I called many pet cemetery/crematory businesses (at least 7 in southern cal) and there many things that decided it for me. First, they are the only one I found that would cremate her by herself not in huge container and separate them by "blocks." Next, "bette" took the time to explain things and made the difference in deciding on who to use. Also, the staff was was so caring. When they were putting her in and they didnt know I was looking I saw "bette" kneel down to pet her and talked to her before they closed the door. I got same day service so I could make sure I got just her ashes so I was around to talk to them and each showed that this wasnt a job but a true love of what they do. During one of the trying times in a dog lovers life they exceeded what I expected and gave care and love like family would.

I refused to take my pet here! Being in the time of the most hurt and trying to see what my options are, they had the audacity to argue with me! Very insincere to my situation were all I want to do is take care of my pet! DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!!

Obvious that the staff here care about you and, more importantly, about your animal family members past and present. They take very good care of your passed loved ones. It's a difficult process to deal with, so it's great to know these people are there.

This place is full of compassionate people that make the terrible experience of losing a family member an experience that is respectful of their life. The process is efficient and kind. I want to thank them for providing such care to our beloved cat, Diego.

Definitely "THE" place to handle your beloved pet's passing. So caring and meticulous. The whole package you receive is actually like a gift form of your departed best friend, and the honor and commemorating of them.

They treat you like family. Compassionate care, sensitive, love energy. Our baby girl Chihiro passed away in our arms. Ericka gave us condolences kept me calm and Jerry gave us condolences and gave us patience as we said goodbye he never rushed us. Very professional and compassionate care. I think if you're in a business dealing with death you should be a very sensitive and empathetic person. When we come to pick up our dog's ashes we are devastated, overwhelmed with grief and incredibly sad for our loss of our precious babies. When he handed me over the box and had me verify the name on a piece of paper I said this is so depressing. This guy had this look on his face and actually looked at me and said why!!!No empathy, no understanding and I would never ever take a pet there again or recommend them to anybody who wants emotional support and a place that really cares.It's fine that maybe to those people they don't find it depressing and maybe they feel like death is inevitable so it's not a big deal but to those of us grieving it's everything to us and we feel like our heart just stoped beating.That should have been the last question when I said this was depressing why, should not have been anything that should have been said I am so upset now.There's lots of places you can take your animals to be cremated I would not have this place ever on the list!!!

We lost our precious Cookie Monster on 07/23/2022. I picked up his ashes today 07/30/2022 not only were his ashes in a beautiful urn but Juan made the most precious paw print of my fur baby’s paw 🐾 Thank you so much for everything Juan.

Got my beloved dogs ashes in a nice Wooden box with her name on it . Loved the paw print ornament. Made me instantly shed some tears.SVPC thank you once again . Definitely recommend to everyone.

A week ago I brought in my cinnamon green cheek conure parrot to be cremated. They did a really good job and put her in a beautiful little box.

Since 1984 we have brought 7 of our "girls" here and would not consider any other place. July 3 confirmed our feelings about Sorrento Valley Pet Cemetery when we brought our beautiful girl to be cremated. They asked us to bring in the ashes (in cardboard boxes) of our other 6 girls so they could exchange them into wood boxes at no charge. I couldn't believe it. Their kindness and consideration is beyond belief! What they did meant the world to me, especially since they certainly didn't have to do this. When considering the awful time to say good-bye, they will come in after hours if needed. Knowing this helped us considerably. During your time of utmost grief, you can definitely depend on this place to be there for you!

When a person is going through the loss of a pet it is so comforting to know that there is a place that will treat you and your pet with respect and dignity. The grounds are like a park with trees and grass and there is a small chapel for reflection. I have taken my pets to Sorrento Valley Pet Cemetery since 1982 and I always come home feeling uplifted and comforted.

I cremated my precious dog today and I was so nervous I've heard and read stories of businesses and or people dumping the bodies and giving dirt or anything other then your loved one. And this wonderful place really calmed me I was able to say my last goodbyes to my Bélla with my family and my brother was able to lay her down himself :( which was bittersweet. Sorrento Valley Pet Cemetary really has sweet surroundings I really liked that employees were very respectful and talked us through everything. Thank you so much SV pet cemetary
