I've been dealing with Angel Paws since Dan started it. He lost his K-9. So over probably 12 plus years. They have taken care of 9 of our fur babies.. Chris is Dan's brother which now runs Angel Paws. I realize they are having problems with getting people to work but Chris does the best he can. He always gets back to me. I know how it feels to lose a loved furry family member. You want answers right now as your going through your grief. But Chris really does try to make sure all his clients are happy with his services. He has made arrangements to pick up my brothers fur baby in RSM and also has come to Norco to return one of mine. Unfortunately mistakes can get made. And I am not excusing that. But dealing with them for as long as I have and talking to Chris many many times I know he cares tremendously for his clients furry babies.. I know it's frustrating to call or show up and someone doesn't answer or isn't there. I get it. But I also know Chris has a passion for wanting to help people deal with the loss of a loved fur baby or a furry piggy (guinea pig) and I will continue to support them with all my furry babies from my dogs, Nigerian dwarf goats loved guinea pigs and cats. I've lost 2 dogs at my vet and let them do the cremation. Let me tell you it was awful. Never ever again.. only Angel Paws will ever take care of any of my precious fur babies again.

I forgot to write a review at the time but my sweet little fur baby passed away suddenly and so we called them. They came out really quick and we're very respectful in the handling of our dog. When we went to the place to see him put in the cremation thing they allowed us a few minutes to say our final goodbyes. We paid extra to have him be the only one and we received the ashes the same day since our appointment was early in the day. We got an urn with his photo and a snippit of his hair and clay impression of his paw. While I hate thinking of my pets dying, I will definitely be using them in the future. They were very kind knowing how hard a pet death is and very respectful of the body. This is a service no one wants to need but when needed I highly recommend them.

I would encourage anyone to avoid using Angel Paws. My beloved cat died the end of December, 2023. It took Angel Paws over three weeks to return ashes and they had mishandled her ashes and the ashes they returned were of another animal. It took a week for them to find my cat's ashes and return them. Hopefully they were her ashes. They made a very sad time for us very distressing. An owner, Chris, did not consistently return calls and he did not follow-through with everything he said. A terrible experience and they were unprofessional. Please check out other reviews. Apparently this isn't their first time of horrible service.

I lost my beloved dog at 3:303pm on 7/03. I was filled with grief & despair. The staff at Angel Paws was very compassionate & patient with me. We spent less than $200 for cremation which includes a cedar box with custom engraving. Their services were top notched.

I am so grateful for Angel Paws Pet Cremation (formerly Friends Forever) in San Marcos. I hope I don't have to use them again soon, but honestly, these folks are angels.

I was very pleased with their service. I love the cedar box they provided with a special name plate for my cat's ashes. I also treasure an imprint of her paw. An overall excellent value. When I called the last place I had another cat cremated, all these items were an added expense. I definitely recommend Angel Paws.

If you are looking for genuine compassion during this difficult time, this is the place to go. I highly recommend using angel paws if you are looking for pet euthanasia and cremation. These gentleman helped us with both. From the first time we first called until we came to pick up our beloved Spikes remains, these gentlemen made the process very easy for us. They helped us find a veterinarian that came out to our home to euthanize our beloved Spike. We were not only shown a high level of compassion throughout the process, what we received back from them was just amazing. The urn, paw print and fur clipping we received back are so beautifully done and will be something we will always cherish. It has been a difficult time saying goodbye but we are extremely grateful for the help we received at this company.

Our buddy Poker passed of old age on June 24th of 2018. We had no idea what to do with the remains all we knew was that we wanted to keep him with us always and burial was not an option since we dont own a home. I called several places and Angel Paws was the only business that called me back. They offered various packages that included some very beautiful mementos all at very affordable prices. My mother wanted an urn instead of a little box and were extremely helpful in finding just what she wanted for our buddy of 13 years. They tailored their service to our needs and we are very appreciative for it. We had to wait a good bit and believe me that was hardly an issue when we finally got Pokers cremains back home. We couldn't have been any happier with the service. Thank You!

When I was getting lied to by the vet I had gone to , this bussiness did nothing but be honest to me and tell me exactly when I could get my baby back! They allowed me to come directly to them to pick her up. I would recommend to anyone who has lost their love one, screw the vet, take your love one straight to them!

Our dachshund was taken by a hive of African bees. Traumatic on the kids, and us. We decided to cremate and plan to place some ashes and plant into a tree urn so his life continues. The guys at Angel Paws were very kind and helpful. The service was fast and he came back to us within a week. The wooden urn supplied in our package was very nicely personalized. I recommend this company to help in these sad situations

04/2022: ALLOW you to view the cremation IF you call them in advance. Cremation within 48 hours of pick up. Ashes are returned the following pick up day. If crossed over at your vet and pick up was on a Thursday, ashes are returned to your vet the following Thursday. A private cremation gets a clay paw print, fur clipping, cedar box with pets name on it. If your pet has short fur you get fur clipping pieces in a corked glass bottle. The vet and cremation for a #65 pup was about $567.

I wanna say thank you so much to Angel Paws for the truly compassionate package I received my fur baby in. They included her fur and a few poems about crossing the rainbow bridge. I am very thankful to see such love, this truly made me so happy to see this. Will forever use Angel Paws for my other fur babies. Thank you.

Angel Paws Pet Cremation is a fantastic pet crematory. I lost a cat of 16 years that I really loved, but what they provide gave me closure she's at peace. They gave me a bit of her hair, along with a paw print, two poems, a certificate of cremation, and a beautiful box with her name on it. Coming from San Diego, this was absolutely worth the drive.

Very heartbroken at the mistakes that were made with my 15 1/2 year old Dachshund here at this after care crematorium.. very unorganized and unprofessional office... Iβm really hoping And praying that I got my dogs cremains back and not someone elseβs baby..Iβm really sick over how careless of an operation it seems to be. There should be no mistakes in this business... itβs our pets that they are supposed to be taking care of and I know I paid good money to have my dog taken care of... Iβm very sad over the way he was handled!!!

To anyone reading this, I know you must be going through a very difficult time right now and I am truly sorry that you're going through such a heart wrenching time right now.... And it is because I was where you are right now, that I felt it was my duty to tell you my experiences with Angel Paw Pet Cremation and convey what occurred here....When I entered into Angel Paws Pet Cremation, my sweet furbaby had just passed over to the other side less than a few hours earlier, and I was very heartbroken and beside myself. I held his lifeless body in my arms the entire hour to get to Angel Paws Pet Cremation, but if they were going to care for my sweet angel with care & respect, the drive was worth it. ...Suffice it to say that that is not what occurred. From the time that I left my sweet angel's body at their establishment all the way to the time that all the mistakes on their behalf were "rectified" (and I use that term loosely), over a *MONTH* had passed. ONE MONTH. In that time all the following occurred: It took between approximately 1 & half weeks to 2 weeks to get the cremation ashes returned to me. After that period of waiting, the urn that we were given was incorrect so we had to return back to correct that error. We had to return yet again to get a new name plate. We had ordered the gold package which came with ashes of our little furry angel as well as an imprint and a bit of my angel's fur, but I had discovered that we were NOT given the correct fur. (Our angel had light grey fur and we were given mostly black fur.) So, in light of this additionally error, we drove back YET AGAIN. We wanted to return the incorrect fur just in case the appropriate family wanted their pet's fur returned to them. We were told that they would find a way to correct this mistake, but they NEVER found my angel's fur. Since he has been cremated, there is no possibility of having that part him now. In light of these NUMEROUS mistakes, I am now very concerned that we not even have the correct ashes. Yes, they showed us that our pet was given an ID number so no mistakes could be made and that that was indeed the ashes of our cherished angel, BUT considering the MANY mistakes that were done, this really makes me question if they didn't mess that up too. If the fur was supposed to be also labeled with the same ID and we were given the WRONG fur, the likelihood that the ashes were wrong too is very high since they were all labeled with the same ID number. Outside of doing DNA testing, there is NO WAY to ensure that we have the correct ashes. In addition to all the aforementioned items, it is in this time that it was I (not the employees) that reached out to them to figure out what the hell was going on with my pet's ashes and etc.... And when I did call I was always met with the same response of "Oh yes, we were going to call you. We'll make a note to call you next time," however they never called back. I continued having to call Angel Paws for updates & for them to correct the mistakes that they made. Additionally, the constant back forth, driving there and back, calling them for updates was exhausting and time consuming. I would do anything to ensure that my sweet angel was taken care of, but it's a slap in the face if the establishment that you trust to care for your beloved has made mistake after mistake after mistake. They also had stated that this is the first time that this has occurred, but considering the LARGE number of mistakes that occurred in my case alone, I find that difficult to believe. My angel did/does not deserve this, He brought so much love and light into our lives and the errors perpetrated during this process are unacceptable. You should think twice if you want to deal with difficulties like what I experienced when you are already going through one of the most heart wrenching times of your life. Do you really want the difficulty of the situation to be compounded further by mistakes perpetrated by an establishment who's profession it is to take care of these matters during this already tough time? I don't think so.

I have had a terrible experience with this place so far. After being told I can come back in and pick up the remains of my dog, I have stopped by twice during advertised business hours (online and on the door); both during the week... once around 11 AM and once around 3 PM. With both instances there was nobody on site and nobody answered the phone. This place needs to get their act together if they are going to be in a sensitive industry. Still trying to collect remains. Would never recommend after such an unprofessional experience.

I can't say enough as to how professional this company was. Nothing but respect and care were provided from the very beginning. I highly recommend this company.

Failed to deliver the when they said they would, so we made an appointment to pick up my dog's ashes and when I arrived at the place there was no one there! Called, no answer. Lame.

We had our cat Twinkie cremated here. Very positive overall experience. His box is very high quality and pretty as well. You people are doing God's work, thank you

The amount of love and care that went into cherishing the memory and remains of our beloved Toby was mind blowing. This company clearly understands that our animals are family. I can never thank them enough for their compassion.
