Customer Reviews Summary
Paws, Whiskers and Wags has received overwhelmingly positive reviews for their compassionate service and professionalism during a difficult time. Many customers praised the staff for their empathy and the quality of the memorial options provided. However, there are some concerns regarding inconsistent service experiences and issues with the quality of urns and cremation remains.

On one of the hardest days of my life, I walked into Paws, Whiskers and Wags after saying goodbye to my baby. I didn't get the lady's name who helped us, but she made this process so easy. She was very sympathetic and took her time with us. We got there when they opened at 9 (we hadn't talked to anyone previously, just walked in). She told us our options, and we opted for the private cremation so we could receive his ashes, the standard urn, and the clay mold of his paw. They also allowed us to leave his beds there, and they would clean them and donate them. I got a call around 1PM that same day letting me know he was ready for pickup. They have a memorial page where they let you share photos and also have cute candles for you and your loved ones to do a memorial. They will also help you transfer urns if you need to. If you are saying goodbye to your fur baby and I definitely recommend using their services.

I have been a customer for many years and have always been very pleased with the services provided by the Covington campus up until the last two or three cremations performed there. First of all, they no longer provided a tin. I have received my loved ones once stuffed in a velvet bag (that reminded me of a crown royal bag) and in a cardboard cylinder-no complimentary tin as promised. Then with the’ crown royal’ cremation, upon removing the cremains to place them in a proper receptacle, I found very large bone fragments and was very disturbed by this. So large you could tell what part of my pets body they were from. I did take them back and they gave me a story about management telling them they were over processing the cremains. I insisted I wanted them’ over processed ‘ if that were the case. They were not rude about it but not sympathetic what I was telling them. We had two babies pass after this horrible experience and I just don’t feel the same about the quality of care that I used to feel about the mortuary. The person that took my call said I would reserve my pets remains in a tin and twice I received them in something less than what I thought was dignified and definitely less than what they deserved. This too was very tacky and disappointing. I understand economics and rising prices but if your prices are rising (and they are) your standards should by no means diminish.

I can’t describe what a blessing this place was to my family on a very tough day for us. The compassion with which we were treated, and the respect that was showed to our beloved departed fur baby was beyond anything I would have expected.Love is dangerous business, folks. Nobody gets out without grief, but it’s always worth it. Eventually, we have to give them back to the God who loved us through them. If you are reading this, I am sorry for your loss. May you find the peace that passes understanding.

Saturday morning our beloved Harvey passed. We tried calling Pet Angel but all we got was messaging service and then the transport service who we had no information on. At 9:00 am we contacted Paws whiskers and wags and within 20 minutes we were talking to Mallory. We took Harvey in and Kevin Ledford walked us through everything even allowing us one final hug and moment with Harvey. Today we picked him up and I can honestly say THEY CARE! The price was less than what the other was gonna charge JUST FOR PICKUP!!!!! This is the place you want to go where you get treated with love and your pet li like their own

When our Bailey took a turn for the worse during her battle with cancer, we were left planning her end of life arrangements right in the middle of the Christmas and New Year holidays. Something about leaving her at the vet and letting them handle everything didn't sit right, especially having to wait a week to get her back...so we took to Google to make sure our sweet girl had the best. God led us to PW&W for a reason. We made the trip from McDonough because despite the New Year holiday, we'd have our girl back in about 48 hours. The compassion and care shown both in the arrangements with us, and the execution of their services was all we could have asked for. Right down to them making sure they got all 5 shades of her fur neatly packed into a baggie for us. While I pray it's no time soon, we'll have one less phone call to make since we know where we'll be taking our Boy Maximus when it's his time to cross the Rainbow Bridge. Thank you for making a difficult time the best it could be for us given the circumstances. It takes special people to deal with death and grief as part of their daily life.

They are not going to call you back. They have whined to me that their phones did not work so they could not call me. When I asked about using a cell phone, Sara said it was against corporate policy. These folks think corporate rules out rank basic common sense and empathy.Funny how they took possession from our vet, but had no interest in contacting me with pricing, available options. My perception is they figured if they had the remains in hand, I would have to accept anything they charged or suggested.I felt like my deceased 16 year old fur baby was kidnapped and held for whatever they wanted to charge. They could have called me from a cell phone or called me from the vet’s office. NO! They grabbed the dog and intentionally did not communicate with me.No ownership. Took no responsibility for their actions.I drove to their facility and demanded my dogs remains be immediately returned.I have found a caring and compassionate company who gave me options, prices, timelines— and it was not these folks.I do not suggest using them.

Words cannot describe the level of love and care that my Hazel received at PWW Covington. I got to spend over 15 years loving my girl and the staff honored her with grace and compassion. The keepsakes were perfect. Sarah was professional and empathetic and took great care with the entire process. I might add that I drove from the gulf coast of Alabama to have her post life cremation performed, because I believe in the love that this locations staff has for their customers. Thank you Sarah, Mallory and the other staff for all you did for Hazel and me.

I would like to first say that I have utilized PW&W in Decatur (when our family dog Sophie passed) & now this location in Covington (for our Klausy). They were both great to work with under the circumstances. They were caring, understanding, and overall helpful in our trying times. But, I would like to highlight the Covington location. I spoke and dealt with Taylor, Emma, and Sarah in the process of our boy Klaus crossing the rainbow bridge and I am extremely grateful for them. Unfortunately, when I was able to speak to a young gentleman at the Decatur location he wasn’t very helpful when questions were asked. His answers had a “unsure” tone when answering and long pauses as unto get you off the phone. Mind you the questions being asked were about how pick up works after a vet put our dog down and if we had to ask the vet hospital to have him transported to their location. After that interaction I took the initiative to have them transport him to the Covington location (that at that moment I had not prior dealings with). I am so glad that I did. Taylor was the person I spoke to the most and she was the angel that walked my daughter and I through the process. She was Amazing to say the least, I can not put into words how much she and the rest of the ladies at this location are appreciated. They put so much thought into so many small details. Small details that for us just meant so very much in that moment… Like keeping his blanket warm and draping him with it for his viewing, the stamping his name into the paw print that was given to us, and calling us once their driver had our baby secured from the vet and once he made it to the facility. Thank you so very much for the love, comfort, and support. We appreciate it all. With love,Klaus J’s Family

Paws, Whiskers & Wags treated me as friend and comforted and addressed all my questions and concerns. Two days before I knew I had to send my baby to rainbow bridge they graciously listened and said they would be there for me. They also had her ashes back to me very quickly as they understood that having her back home would definitely aid in the grieving process and they understood that this was what I needed. They did an excellent job, and showed a high level of compassion/care. Everyone from the phone representative to the office in Conyers Georgia itself. I went to the office to pick Echo's ashes up, and the representative at the office took the time to listen to me tell stories and show pictures of what a wonderful life she had. This company truly cares about its clients!!! The entire staff was always there to help me get through one of the worst times in my life.🐾Furever grateful

Mallory Meek handled and cared for my two babies who unfortunately passed only a week apart, she was extremely considerate and very empathetic. She insured they would be together and called for updates every few days, she went as far as to make sure my babies were back on my birthday. She informed me when they had arrived at my long time beloved vet, and wished me a happy birthday as well. Mallory went above and beyond to care for me and my family, she always addressed my babies by name, and was patient with me throughout the process (because I was a mess)! I cannot express how extremely comforted I felt in this extremely hard process. I would recommend to absolutely anyone who has undergone the horrible loss of their beloved pet because they do care about them and you!

This company did an amazing job taking care of our sweet boy. He was 15 years old and lived a long, happy life and we wanted him to be remembered in such a special way. Our vet, Dr. Innis at Banfield, talked wonders about this company and we were not disappointed at all.To start, they respected our wishes of only calling my husband even though my number was on every file. Then we wanted to ensure that we had the perfect ink print of his paw and although they didn’t have the supplies to do it they offered to help in any way in addition to holding off on the cremation until we were ready. They were not pushy in any way and every time we called they were all so compassionate. We received our sweet boy back in less than a week and the full package was beautiful. In addition to the beautiful urn they provided, we received a card, clay paw prints with a beautiful rainbow bridge quote attached, tracking info, certificate, pamphlet to help with loss, and a lock of love (this got me).All around this company treated my sweet boy with such love and care as if he were their own and were so kind to my family during this trying time. They helped make this process as easy as possible. I HIGHLY recommend using them.

I was so impressed with everything you helped me with for Lola's passing and with all those I was in contact with during this process. this is the first time I have cremated a pet, always lived where I could put them in a special place. Thank you all again for all the help we got from you. I have already passed your info along to other pet friends.

We lost our senior baby to cancer about 2 & a 1/2 weeks ago. We received her back home the very next day. They were nothing but nice and respectful and you can tell there was a great deal of care in taking care of our baby’s remains. They even sent a little note after stating they’re donating to an animal charity in her honor. When our other senior baby crosses the rainbow bridge we’ll definitely use their services again.

Thank you, Mallory for cremating our sweet fur baby Tyson on Friday 3/26/2021! Wonderful service, and she answered the phone at 11:30pm Thursday night after he passed away in our home to give us input of what to do with his body until we could bring him in the next morning. She did a wonderful job, and even got his fur clippings down to a "T". She had his ashes ready for pickup that same day!! Thanks to her, I have pure comfort in having my dog's ashes, fur and paw print to remember him by.❤ We love the cute tin she put him in, but we are going to buy a nicer urn to put Tyson in, and she told us she would place his ashes in the new urn for completely free when we get one. She showed us genuine concern and support. We were very impressed and very pleased with Paws, Whiskers and Wags! 10/10 recommend!Tyson was 10 years old, I had him since he was only 5 weeks old. He was the best pitbull ever. 🐾❤

The staff at Paws Whiskers and Wags are awesome in every way. They all are very compassionate and caring not only for your pet but you as a human also. They take care of you and your fur babies in a timely matter. They walk you thru the process step by step. A very clean facility. I greatly appreciate the staff Mallory, Sarah, Angela and Ace. Thank you for all you do. Much love and appreciation.

These people actually deserve 10 stars! Unfortunately we lost our 14 year old cat in March and then a week ago our 3 year old baby and we used Paws Whiskers and Wags for both of them. They are the most caring and compassionate people you could ever deal with, they treat you like family and your pet like it is theirs. They are very affordable which was a surprise. I strongly recommend them to anyone and everyone who wants to honor their pet by cremation. Thank you PW&W'S for being there when we needed you!

This was a very difficult time for my family and just the thought of all of the steps that needed to happen after the loss of our sweet boy Jayce was almost unbearable. The staff at Paws, Whiskers and Wags Pet Crematory were very compassionate and professional. They made this process easy and provided all of the information we needed to make the necessary decisions for our sweet boy Jayce. Sara was phenomenal. She assisted us in ordering a personalized urn for our Jayce. She assisted in walking us through which urn would best fit. Sara quickly provided us with a mockup of the personalized message. This really helped to put us at ease. Additionally, the entire team worked diligently to provide top notch services. The lock of hair, the paw print, the bookmark and temporary tin provided so that we could have Jayce home with us sooner while we waited for the personalized urn were all extremely touching. Providing the pamphlets for grief counseling was helpful in pointing us in the right direction of a trusted place to reach out for help. We are so grateful for Paws, Whiskers and Wags Pet Crematory.

My furr baby Zoe passed away recently and I called the Covington office to set up her cremation. I've never cremated a pet before but Sarah walked me through the process over the phone and was very empathetic. I brought my baby in ten minutes before they opened on a Saturday and they were able to have her ready before they closed at noon. Sarah was very kind and professional, as well as the people who did the cremation.

This is a heartbreaking service to need, but if you do need it these kind and wonderful people are the ones to go to. I emailed a question late on a Sunday and had an actual person call me back within 20 minutes. The staff is so sensitive and understanding; and services are very affordable.

On the day my dog died, I called this company FOUR TIMES and all I got was the answering machine. Left a message on the fourth call. Never received a callback. Totally irresponsible.
