All of the staff were fantastic. Our 13-year-old jrt beagle mix Mia was at the end of her time. We did not know it until we brought her there. They very quickly found her stomach was full of blood. We are farmers so we are used to animal death but this was a family member inside pet dog that brightened up every room she was in. No one ever forgot Mia and she was the only dog that my Mom ever held or petted. She was the dog that people learn to love that were scared of dogs. We just got the nicest card from the Vet office. I can't believe Tyler remembered we were going to place her on the the hill by our house. She's resting peacefully out there. For emergency vet services, yes, there is a $500 upfront fee but that is you're going to run past that if your pet has a bad problem after hours, you're going to pay more than that anyway. Their services were super professional, good medical detail fast, sensitive advice, caring, loving gentle. Everything you could want. I hope we never have the circumstance to see them again and can see our regular vet in Madison, Florida. But with an emergency, it's awesome to know that these caring people are there after hours.

My cat went in on a Saturday and stayed until Tuesday. She was to have a test run Tuesday at 10 am we were anxiously waiting because it would determine if she would make it. I called at 11:15 to get results. The test had not been done yet. Was told it would be done immediately. I drove 45 minutes there and it still hasn't been done and they were scrambling to do it because I showed up unannounced. We visited everyday and she was always covered in feces and we would clean her. I transferred her to my vet who requested her records Tuesday evening. My vet couldn't get a response from them so they had to redo blood work. Records were finally sent over on Friday. She was critical and treated with no urgency.

4:37am, called ahead to let them know we are having an emergency and weโre on the way. Was told they are at capacity and will not be accepting any patients at this time. Told us to go to Florida or Warner Robins (both were 2+ hours at this point). I know they have people who care working there (amazing people at that), but this is my first time ever attempting to go here, and now it will be my last.Little PSA for the people who are bringing their pet here- stop using an emergency vet if you donโt have an emergency! This causes pets like mine who are in a critical care situation to die due to not being able to get care AT AN EMERGENCY VETERINARY CLINIC.

I cannot say enough kind things about this vet office. I recently had an emergency with my fur baby, and she was very sick. While euthanasia was recommended due to the severity of her illness, the vet answered all of my questions and listened to my feelings on the issue. Within 24 hours it became apparent that I would have to choose to euthanize my sweet kitty, and the staff was so kind and understanding during this difficult time. Everyone on staff is wonderful and compassionate, and I highly recommend this establishment.

After reading some of the reviews, I was a bit hesitant to take my dog here. But we were having an emergency and didnโt have a choice. This place was FANTASTIC! From talking to them on the phone, checking in, the techs, and the doctorโฆthey were excellent! I am so happy to have this place nearby. I will certainly use them again if needed.

It's not often I pay for services and receive an unexpected refund. That was a blessing because I was willing to go broke for my mom's dog's care. More importantly the team here was WONDERFUL. My mom's dog was injured and required surgery. I love Pip-pip and my mama so I was devastated. The team took her in immediately and began to provide her with care. They clearly explained everything they were going to do and what to expect. They provided updates on her status. They showed me compassion. I'm so thankful I chose them for Pippers care.Sidenote BUY PET INSURANCE.

My dog and I were on our way home to Florida when she began to vomit repeatedly, had diarrhea and then the vomit became bloody. The veterinarian and all the staff at Valdosta Veterinary Associates were so polite, kind and compassionate. They were able to see my girl right away and help her. Fees are very reasonable. I highly recommend this group. They are true professionals. And my dog did great!!

We endured a traumatic experience last night when our Alfie suffered an injury that led to the removal of his right eye. Amidst the chaos, I was so glad to know about Valdosta Veterinary Associates, a 24/7 veterinary clinic about 20 minutes away. Their compassion and care from the initial phone call to the follow-up pickup, comforting me to let me know he would be ok was nothing short of great. I wholeheartedly am thankful for their services for emergency pet care! While Alfie's road to recovery will be challenging, I am thankful heโs still here with us and the exceptional care he received from Valdosta Veterinary Associates, I hope that we never have to face a situation like this again but thankful to know if we did, we have someone so close we can trust in the future.

Before I share my negative experience with them, I will first share my positive part of the experience. I suspected that my dog ingested aleve, so I decided to take him here because it was close to midnight. I called on my way there to let them know I was coming, and the lady on the phone was very sweet and told me that they would most likely take him straight to the back once we got there. When we got there, the entire staff was very nice despite it being late at night, and they calmly explained the next steps. Yes, it was $600 upfront, but she made me aware of this on the phone and it is a DEPOSIT, not an additional costs. It covered his exam, bloodwork, and emesis. He had to stay there two nights, and they called me each day with an update which I appreciated. He was able to come home to me Thursday night back to his healthy self. YES it is pricy, but the prices at any vet are very similar to this one. I advise every pet owner to realize this before buying a pet and to consider buying pet insurance to help cover the costs. Now for my problems I experienced. They mostly have to do with any follow-up.PROBLEM #1: when I took him home Thursday, the vet told me to come back Saturday for his first bloodwork re-check. This was also noted on my chart. I asked if I could do this at my regular vet on Monday, and she said no because if his bloodwork was off, Monday could be too late. So I called them Saturday morning to ask what time I should come in, and they said I could come in anytime that day but to just call when I was on my way. So after confirming that morning, I left my parents house in Buford and began the 4 hour drive to Valdosta. When I was about 30 minutes away, I gave them a call to let them know I was on my way. This is when the lady said โthere must have been some sort of miscommunication. We donโt have you down and this is only our emergency hours.โ I told her how I had spoke to two other people who told me Saturday, and she still said the best they could do was get me in Sunday or Monday, even though the vet said Monday would be โtoo late.โ It wasnโt until I checked his discharge papers and found in writing where the vet had said โfollow up Saturday for bloodworkโ that they said they would make it work. I just donโt see how the vet supposedly had no idea what I was talking about when it was written on my paper, or how the lady I called Saturday morning wouldnโt have told me there was a problem first. Seems they need a better system for follow-ups and communication of patient info between staff and different shifts etc.PROBLEM #2: after initial appointment, it seems impossible to get back in touch with them. They said they would email me my invoice for his first bloodwork, and I never got it. I tried calling and have been on hold for 20 minutes. I need the invoice to get reimbursed by insurance, since one blood test was $77. I sent them an email about this as well and no reply. In addition, they said they would send his chart over to my regular vet so that they could determine when I need to come back for more bloodwork. I called my regular vet and my dogs info never got sent over. My vet called me this evening to tell me that they have been trying to call VVA to get his info, but they have been on hold all day as well. It is frustrating to be told how important follow up care is but then not get any instruction on how to do so. I assume that my insurance company is having problems reaching them as well since it is taking them longer than normal to review my claim.

No Pet Parent could ask for a more polite, caring, respectful, honest, and family-loving place to bring their Fur-Babies. We had our AmStaff cremated in May of 2024. We brought our Golden Retriever Lab Mix stray and they remembered our beloved AmStaff which showed us that this is the best place to bring all of Fur-Babies. VVA is blessed and will continue to be blessed because they show they love the community's Fur-Babies as much as the families do. Bless you all for the love, compassion, and care you give our Fur-Babies, as well as the Non-Fur-Parents and Non-Fur-Siblings!

I have an emergency for my cat and because of a $500.00 deposit required before my cat can be cared for. I like so many others was not able to get emergency care for my cat. I will have to do my best to treat my cat on my own and keep him well until Monday when I can bring him to his Vet.

Very professional, compassionate with our sweet dachshund. We had an unfortunate accident that happen after normal business hours and were seen immediately after arrival. We were explained the process and all test results the same day. The doctor held our pup for overnight evaluation and treated him. Over all excellent experience here. All staff were pleasant and very professional.

It should be unethical to charge a customer full price on tests that were never approved to do and they end up putting your pet to sleep. Not once did they ask if they could do x-rays or run blood tests. It is an option not a requirement for the vet to run. This place needs to be put in check or shut down. You have to ask the customer what tests the can afford, one step at a time not everything at once. Come on you have to more communication with the people before you rack up $700 if not more just to put them to sleep, itโs not right.

From the moment I walked into Valdosta Veterinary associates, I knew Jaxson was in good hands. The staff greeted us quickly with warm smiles and genuine care, making sure to address all of our concerns and answer any questions I had, while I was in complete shock and disbelief. Jaxson was hospitalized for one month and I visited him daily. The staff was always accommodating (even on busy days) and the facilities were always clean and well-maintained.I am forever grateful to Dr. Courson and the entire staff at the vet's office for their dedication and compassion towards Jaxson. Their expertise and constant updates and communication provided me with peace of mind during a difficult time.Overall, my experience at this Valdosta Veterinary Associates was exceptional and I would highly recommend it to anyone in need of top-notch veterinary care.

We found Dr Courson a little over a year ago when we had an emergency with our Pit Rescue. When we rescued her, we took her the very next day to the Vet we'd been with for 3 years. They did their regular once over. Determined she was not chipped so we proceeded with the standard annual vaccinations and tests. It was determined that she also had heartworms but we needed to get her fixed first because had recently had pups and was again in heat. We had her scheduled the very next day to be spayed to prevent any future pregnancies. Heartworm treatment would have to wait until she healed from the surgery. They gave us Heartguard to start her on until we got past the healing phase. A few weeks after surgery she was healing fine. Then suddenly one night she started caughing up blood. Clearly this was not normal and our Vet was closed after hours. I found Valdosta Veterinary when looking for an emergency vet. That was the day we first met Dr Courson. She was very considerate about our concerns and took time to listen and ask questions. She spent a good 5 to 10 mins just gathering information about what was going on with Ellie. She ordered a few test to rule out a few possible issues and communicated a few scenarios as to why Ellie may be coughing up blood. It was finally determine that the heartworm preventative medication given by the other vet was causing an anaphylactic reaction as it was killing the immature heartworms and should have been accompanied by additional medication to counteract that response. Dr Courson took her time to explain in detail how this was the cause and what she recommended as the best course of action. She prescribed the medication that we should have been using along with the preventative and spent a long time with us answering all our questions. She was absolutely amazing. And Ellie really liked Dr Courson too. This experience was soooo much different than what we got with our regular vet, that we decided to move all 6 of our animals ( 3 dogs & 3 cats ) to Dr Courson. She has loved and cared for all of them. Most recently we had to say goodbye to our little senior dog ( Igor ) and Dr Courson was an amazing help through that process. She evaluated his condition, and allowed us as much time as we needed and wanted as we said goodbye to our sweet little guy. I would recommend Dr Courson all day long!!! She is so very amazing at what she does and is a fabulous human as well. We are so glad we found her and will not go anywhere else!

Last week, we had to say goodbye to our best friend. I donโt usually do reviews, but if you are ever in the position we were in, you want to take your buddy here. The staff was GENUINELY empathetic and compassionate, exactly what my daughter and I needed in our time of grief.

The absolute best!! My dog had pyrometra (deadly infection in her uterus). I first took her to Jacksonville who quoted me $5,000 for the surgery to save her life. My husband and I did not have the funds to pay for it. We were having to decide whether or not to put down our dog. We were heartbroken and in tears, but didn't want to give up on our Luna. The clock was ticking and we spent the night calling approximately 20 other vets around who all told us the same amount. My husband called Valdosta Veterinary Associates who said to bring her in that night or the following morning and theyโd do it for less than $2,000. We made the appointment and drove 2 hours to the vet. The staff is amazing, kept us informed, preformed the surgery quickly and saved our dogs life. I could not be anymore pleased that I am and will make that drive to visit them in the future. Thank you all so very much! We appreciate you!!

Valdosta Veterinary has helped us 2 times now.First is when we had a kitten wander and we took him in to get medication because he had a lot of worms and needed help.We went to Walmart today and someone had run over a kitten and he was bad off, the poor baby was suffering. I called them and they said they would help us so heโs not in pain anymore. It was a very emotional time for us, my heart broke for him because I couldnโt do anything to save him.I appreciate what they have done for us completely

I cannot begin to thank the staff and Dr. Courson for everything they did for us and Binx. Dr. Courson did all that she could possibly do to save Binx. I called to check on her multiple times while she was hospitalized and the administrative staff were always so nice. When Binx passed while in their care, they gave us a chance to say goodbye and offered cremation services. After picking Binx up, there was a card signed by all the staff and her paw prints. I will cherish the card and her paw prints forever. I highly recommend this facility to anyone with pets!

Our girl Millie was admitted here on 11/25/22, after being bitten by what we assume was a rattlesnake and ended up staying with them for three nights. She received excellent care and love from the staff and I highly recommend them for your emergency pet needs. Will update photos after the swelling goes down!

So thankful for these guys! We had to bring our dog Whiskey because he got ran over by our ATV and we drove an hour to them at midnight. They were ready for him at the door as soon as we got there. They were super fast, got him checked out and kept him for observation to make sure he was stable. Our baby loved the staff and they were so gentle with him. They're very detailed about their care, make sure they thoroughly explain all their procedure and tests, and make sure to give detailed follow up care instructions! I wish they were closer to use them regularly but we've used them twice for emergency visits and they're amazing!!!! โค๏ธ Grateful for you guys!

Dr. Courson the on call veterinarian and the staff took care of both of our girls Lea and Sirah after an unexpected fight happened between them while my husband and I were out of town. Lea got the worst of it and Dr. Courson was very thorough and the staff was so sweet to her. She ended up having to be sedated and get a cast and the girls all signed it. I know they eased their anxieties while we were away and took great care of them. The only thing we had concerns about was the emergency fee up front that was $500 but they did apply it towards the bill. If we didnโt have the extra money to have paid it up front, Iโm not sure what we would have done!

We recently brought our dog (Shadow) in. It was a bit scary because we didnโt know what was going on. The team at Valdosta Veterinary Associates was incredible. They took us in right away and figured out the issue very quickly. We were nervous as our dog hasnโt been socialized a whole lot but he followed the vet tech right in. They kept him calm and gave him so much love and care. He is all better now and I can not thank them enough. Wonderful experience.

Our cat started to show evident signs of suffering and pain. The receptionist claimed they were short staffed and that the only available option for our cat was some random clinic in Gainesville and hung up. We called multiple times again asking for help and information on the Gainesville clinic and got the same response and the receptionist hung up on us again. Not a โlet me check with our vet.โ โWait here while I ask someone.โ โLet me see what I can do.โ No effort whatsoever. It was a solid โno, you have to drive 3 hours away, we canโt help you.โ The lack of professionalism, sympathy, and compassion from the receptionist was appalling. I was beyond disgusted. It saddens me that our ONLY 24 hour emergency vet clinic is so incredibly understaffed that they canโt perform a 30 second procedure. So understaffed they have to reject and neglect animals suffering and in need. We were limited and left with no other options, but to watch our baby boy suffer for hours, while trying to find other help. Our baby deserved so much better than to pass the way he did. And we didnโt deserve the foul treatment we received over the phone. After reading the other reviews, it saddens me to see that this remains a continuous issue and that other helpless pets were refused. Donโt claim to be an โalways openโ 24 hour emergency clinic, when youโre clearly not. I pray this brings awareness to our community.

I know for a fact Dr. Courson saved my dog. He got into a supplement I take which is very toxic to dogs. The doctor came in during the middle of the night, she was professional. She was honest with me about upfront costs. I knew approximately how many capsules my dog had swallowed. The doctor calculated the dogโs weight by the amount poison control center said to be toxic. She determined Unoโs dose was between toxic and lethal, so the chances of Uno making it with proper treatment were good. I was allowed to determine how many CPR attempts I wanted them to do. I chose 1 because I did not want him to suffer. I say all of this because Iโm really glad I did not see some of these reviews. I got Uno from his previous owner, I had been so busy I had not changed the vet to one closer to me. I canโt speak for everyone who has posted here but I want to say emergency care is expensive. I was given a ballpark amount because I asked. I didnโt get the feeling anyone was trying to hide anything from me. The techs were so loving with Uno. We went throughout a horrible ordeal at my house with the dog convulsing and severe tremors. I felt so good about Unoโs care. I left there knowing I could call at anytime during the night for an update and I did! I will be staying with this vet. He came home after 2 nights. I could have picked him up yesterday but I already had an injured back and felt I needed to be in better shape to bring him home โค๏ธ

As always wonderful visit. Today was Jerry and Hope's visit for checkup and bloodwork. They were both happy and glad to see everyone. These ladies are top notch and love all the babies brought to them. I recommend them to everyone.

Update: There obviously is still no doctor on 24/7, see other reviews. Dishonest business practices.Consider going somewhere else for routine care and getting emergency care in Jacksonville or Tallahassee. Customer beware; the owners, two veterinarian doctors, advertise 24/7 emergency care but aren't present or hire to support 24/7 care. And when the docs are absent responsibility falls heavily on the techs and assistants ...folks, do you want your pet "examined" via "telemedicine" by a doctor who isn't there?

Thank you Valdosta Veterinary Associates for caring for Copper and helping him cross the rainbow bridge๐โค๏ธ ๐พ We will treasure the gift you gave us with his paw and nose prints which is now framed in our home. You made the most difficult time in our life a little easier with your gentleness with Copper and with us.

My Dachshund got hurt by a Bulldog. On the weekend of July 4th. No other Vet would see us. Holiday I was told about Valdosta Veterinary ER. They are so caring and loving.

Michael Anderson

I brought my beloved Bentley in to the ER here as we were camping nearby and he was not doing very well. My poor little man has had a host of illnesses all his life. All the vets, vet assistants and the rest of the staff were very caring and compassionate about his care. We were hoping he would turn the corner with all the support they gave him. Unfortunately his little body couldn't take any more with his pancreatitis, kidney disease, mvd and renal carcinoma. I want to personally thank Dr. Drew, Dr. Coursin and the very first er vet that saw Bentley, his name escapes me. Everyone's skill and compassion for us will never be forgotten. Thank you!

So grateful they were able to take care of our dog, Bailey, after she had an episode of HGE. She was brought in at 4-5 AM, experienced quick service and staff was very helpful on the phone giving us advice before we decided to bring her in. One star off for prices but then again, for 24 hour service, seems fairly reasonable. Had to pay $400 out of pocket for lab test, exam and prescriptions.

Their prices were high and their employees were rude. They want $500 up front just to check your animal out. That doesn't include any treatment. We paid $1800 for our dog to stay overnight and relieve meds in an IV. The staff at the front counter were extremely rude and have no compassion for animals. They don't care about your pets, they care about a dollar. Use another vet!!!

Valdosta Veterinary Associates is one of the best vet offices I have ever been to.Last Saturday I had to take my Jojo to visit them as an emergency. They quickly got her in & they were very transparent about her diagnosis, treatment plan, possible outcomes, and payment. I noticed several poor reviews due to the office requiring a $500 emergency deposit fee. Please understand this is standard everywhere (almost) & the deposit goes towards the treatment. The employees take time away from their loved ones, completed their education, & alter their schedule in order to help your pets. From the care they provided my pet, to every answered phone call, for being available 24/7, and to each update there are not enough thank yous to give each and every staff member of this team. My Jojo was able to come home because of them. It is very clear each and every individual loves what they do & the establishment is ran exceptionally well.

How you have 4/5 stars on FB and 3/5 on here is beyond me with the amount of horrific stories ppl are sharing! Probably all friends and family of your staff leaving โgoodโ reviews. Your staff should absolutely be ashamed of themselves with their heartless attitudes and money hungry ways. Itโs repulsive! I try to assist in animal welfare efforts & often get calls or requests for help by people desperate to help animals- sometimes their own animals & sometimes stray animals who arenโt theirs but are obviously suffering. I had a call from a family whose dog brought up a small cat that he had snuck into their fenced in yard and was attacked by their dog.The kitten was clearly suffering with internal swelling & โthingsโ crunching inside. It was awful. They were crying. The kitten was crying. It was 10pm at night. They were begging for help. They struggled to afford rent & food, & were just begging for someone to help them help this kittie not suffer anymore. After calling several people, someone gave them my name. I called VVA to ask form them to please euthanize the kitten to stop the suffering & I would pay for these strangers - just to help ease their pain & guilt. The female on the phone was indifferent. She said I had to pay the $500for an exam including X-rays & bloodwork & then a vet had to decide if they agreed with ending the suffering or if I hadTo either pay more money for their plan of treatment (which could include driving to Tallahassee for ANOTHER vet office with more costs & more treatments - and another 2 hours of suffering waiting) etcโฆ.They literally refuse pain management or euthanasia without $500 and an EXAM โฆ.I didnโt have wordsโฆ.What I did to help this kitten stop suffering & crying & a family who was begging for help - was to discuss who had guns or axe or shovels to TRY to HELP the PAIN stop โฆ.I wonโt finish the storyโฆ. I ask anyone - what would you do? And then multiply this allll the animals & people in our area who are willing to put veterinary care or services on a credit card to HELP animals that arenโt even ours โ-I ask you to ask them - do they care?I wouldโve paid $300 for them to let that precious kitten leave this world in less pain . Probably wouldโve paid even more - but Iโve been told the cost is much lower espFor a tiny kitten โฆ.But what I donโt understand- is do you have an oath???? I know you need money to have a business, but wouldnโt a brain - even without a heart - wouldnโt a brain have been able to make a decision that gives you your profit while ALSO helping an animal stop SUFFERING?I hope you & those you care about find kindness & common sense if you ever find yourselves suffering - or watching someone you love suffer. I hope no one has the ability to make money - but chooses your pain because they want more moneyAs a volunteer & a donor, I respect the role of veterinarians & their right to make money & their right to NOT Discount their services. But Iโll never understand having the ability to eliminate horrible suffering & a slow awful death for money - but refusing because you want more

I have not even seen the vet at this location. They are open 24-7. I have a puppy that has an allergy . They wanting $500.00 before she is even seen. That does not include her visit blood work etc . I refuse to give $500 because you are open on Sunday .It was not an emergency. I do not have financial restraints. We are totally blessed. I am not paying for something because you think you can charge $500.00 on the weekend . My puppy did receive medical attention at her vet on Monday for alot less than $500.00 and is doing much better . Thank you.

After reading all the negative reviews I just have to report that my experience was excellent from start to finish. Took in my 4 year old pup for seizures, was informed of the $500 deposit (which I find very fair for after hours emergency treatment.) Even though they had a critical dog in the back, they kept me updated in the exam room and after all tests resulted Dr. Courson came and had a very detailed 15 minute conversation with me about treatment options and follow up recommendation. I was actually given a refund of $18, so the cost of exam, IV, meds, labs, and medicine to go home with I found the pricing very fair. Receptionists, vet techs and Dr. Courson were all very professional and compassionate. I definitely recommend for emergency care!

Would not recommend. Had an incident there last Sunday/monday April 29th. Iโve called 3 different days trying to get a manager to call me back and here it is Sunday. A whole week later. However if you do choose to use make sure you get a copy of everything bill wise, they up charge you without explaining and automatically put it on your bill

Update: my dog didnt end up making it through the night. Towards the end when we knew it was coming, we called back and asked if they could do anything to help him along so he wouldnt be suffering. They still rejected him.NOT open 24 hours, do not believe their advertising lies. I just drove up with a dog showing signs of a possible stroke (fainting and stumbling, etc) and they sent me away without a consultation, check up, or anything. We never got in the door. No doctor on staff tonight. They said they'll only see a dog if its an emergency. Who will determine if its an emergency if theres no doctor or if a tech won't even look? And if someone comes in with a dog who needs emergency surgery or something, who will tend to it if there's no doctor on staff? We'll see if my dog lives through the night. Thanks for caring, VVA. Change your advertising. If I could leave a lower rating I would. I am furious.

We had to take our dog in late on Sunday evening because he could no longer walk or urinate. The team at Valdosta Veterinary Associates was fantastic. We are extremely grateful for everything they did. I was also shocked at how reasonable the price was. Would recommend to anybody who needs emergency vet care.

We took our dog in on the weekend for an emergency. He had bloat which is life threatening. They were very good about seeing him, explaining the procedure, what to expect, etc. However, their first concern before bringing him in was do you have $500 - $600 up front for the visit for an emergency visit. He came thru surgery fine. When we picked him up we saw the vet for 10 min. After that no more doctor. It was all staff. When we had questions at check out we had to go thru the receptionist who relayed it to the vet then the receptionist would tell us what she said. We were no longer important since they already had the fee of $3,700. Once we got home there was no follow up from the vet to find out how our dog was recuperating. Most vets in my experience always follow up with a call within a day or two.I called 5 days later with a question because our instructions were if our dog threw up to call immediately. I did. I could not get past the receptionist. Nor would she have the vet return my call because the vet was too busy. The receptionist was quick to tell us if we wanted our dog checked out it would be another $500 at least for another emergency visit since it is the weekend. Iโm hoping our dog survives since there is little to no follow up.We are returning next week to have staples removed. I will follow up with another review and give an update. At this point if you have any other options in an emergency GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.

Unfortunately I have to post my experience as I rarely ever write reviews but this one is much needed. My dog a 3 year old dachshund who is an inside dog and has been in great health was pretty sick around 6 PM on Thursday August 3rd and my local vet in Tifton recommended Valdosta because it was a 24/7 clinic. The Tifton Dr thought it was some type of liver issue as my dog was jaundice and lethargic. So I get to Valdosta Vet Associates and the first thing they want is $500 dollars to see the dog which is the first step. I saw a doctor within an hour of my dog being at the vet. They tell me they are going to run some tests and diagnostics and quote me $1700 dollars. They say this should be what is needed that "they can think of". They start a blood transfusion that night for my dog because her PCV was around 10%. While this is all happening the cashier is wanting to know what my Care Credit "credit limit" is. I tell them that does not matter I will pay as we go for the services. I pay $1,000 dollars and leave for the night with my dog at the vet. Friday they update me that she is better at PCV is around 20%. We go visit her and she seems better and we are thinking all is good. They then call me on Saturday and say her blood levels PCV have dropped back to 12% and they are unsure of what is going on. They were checking her gallbladder and said it seems to have "sludge". All the while I call a few vet friends I know and they all agree this seems like an auto immune issue most likely IMHA. The blood loss was coming from the red blood cells being attacked by the dogs immune system. They call me Saturday and inform me that I am at $2100 dollars without the 2nd transfusion they want to do on Saturday because the levels dropped. I have no idea where the extra $400 came from to make it $1700 to now $2100 but here we are a 2nd blood transfusion on Saturday. The issue I had with all this to this point is we had not put the dog on prednisone which is the RX of choice for IMHA patients - it helps shut off the immune system from attacking itself. They finally put her on prednisone sometime Saturday when I ask about what about auto immune could this be what we are dealing with? So we get through Saturday and into Sunday. I hear nothing until 5 PM on Sunday I finally call and ask for an update, and guess what? The receptionist tells me they have been meaning to call and I said oh good and the receptionist asks me "We need to collect a $1000 dollar deposit". Which of course I said "I am calling for an update on my dog and you are asking for MORE money?" Mind you we still do not have a clear diagnosis at one point during my dogs stay the vet actually referred me to University of Florida after I was in $2100 with this place. So after the update and the $1000 additional deposit they got out of me on Sunday afternoon they finally tell me I can pick up my dog and that her levels are good and steady at 20% PCV. Here is the problem with an IMHA patient they need to be monitored for days after a blood transfusion especially after she relapsed on day 2 of the first transfusion. So basically at this point I'm $2900 dollars in and I feel like I got no answers, no care and all about the money. Super sad for a 24/7 clinic to rush us out and charge $2900 for 4 days of care and really have no plan of action for us to leave with.I can not tell my entire story on this review as it would take too many characters but I can say that after 9 days in a local vet care I paid less money and my dog is back home with improving PCV and I have no doubt I would have had to put my dog down had I stayed on the path that Valdosta sent me home with. I would avoid this clinic at all cost as my 4 day journey ended up costing $2900 dollars and I felt like they rushed us out of the facility with no answers and behind 3 days of actually treating the issue.

I let my dog go potty before bed. Another dog attacked her. I brought Tinkerbell in at 1:30 AM to get her wounds taken cared of. We couldn't get them to stop bleeding. They were so sweet and patient with us. A bit costly but worth it. It was after 3 AM before they were done. Thank you guys.

Having an emergency is always frightening and frantic, and the staff were so very kind and empathetic and understanding. Dr. Courson was very thorough and straight forward with the explanation for what was happening and how we could treat it, which we genuinely appreciate. I do not believe there is anywhere else I would trust more with the safety of our animals.

Iโm very thankful for Valdosta Veterinary Associates. Dr Mount took good care of my cat Doodle today and got her feeling all better. We had to pay emergency fees but it was worth getting her taken care of. Doodle was attacked by a cat outside Wednesday of this past week and has been missing for about 4 days. We thought she was gone. She showed back up this morning right before we almost left for church. Her back foot was infected and abscessed and she couldnโt walk on it at all. Dr Mount drained it and gave her antibiotics and an anti-inflammatory injection. I thank God for Dr Mount and her staff today. They were very accommodating from the front desk receptionist, to the tech and then to Dr Mount. Thank you Dr Mount and staff for taking care of our Doodle and being kind to us. God gets the credit for bringing Doodle home and getting us to Dr Mount. โค๏ธ๐

My wife's sister brought her dog down with her and her kids for labor day weekend. He bit my dog and caused some pretty freaky symptoms as far as head trauma goes. On the car ride over, my 9 pound minpin's tongue was halfway out of his mouth and he was moaning/completely unable to stand. A two day stay at this place, some meds to take home and by Wednesday he is essentially back to normal.Emrys and I thank y'all very much

They were so comforting, caring, and thorough on helping my dog. People want to complain about the emergency fee thatโs needed to be paid up front, but what they donโt realize is that it goes towards services rendered and if not used will be refunded to you. I could not ask for better care for my yorkie Runway when he needed it the most! Thank you to this wonderful staff!!

We had an emergency with our Great Dane late lastnight and the Staff was absolutely amazing! The vet did what she could to save him. We sadly lost him due to Bloat. The Vet and Vet techs were super sweet and comforting the entire time. They also offered a cremation service with amazing prices. We are forever grateful for the amazing work you've done and trying to save our boy. He will be forever miss.

I took my cat in to have him neutered. The price that I was quoted was 210.00. When picking him up that cost went up to 345.00. Tests were done that were not authorized. I asked to speak with the vet. A vet came in that didnโt do his surgery along with another employee. I was asking the vet questions. I asked why these thing were done without authorization. She said that they didnโt need my authorization to do them. Now I explained to her that my other pets are seen at the Moody Air Force Base clinic. And when extra tests come in to play they ask me for my authorization to do them. The vet them laughs at me and says well the doctor came from Moody Air Force base. The the other employee started talking as I was still asking questions. I informed her that I wasnโt asking her any questions. I was then told to leave the clinic with any further explanation of my cats care. I now have to schedule a after care appointment with another clinic and pay more money because this clinic is by far the worst. They have attitude problems and fee the need to charge clients for things that wasnโt approved. The had no interest in response to my catโs care. I totally get that this a veteran owned clinic but it doesnโt give them the right to treat customers poorly and charge for things that were not authorized. I donโt recommend them at all. You being a new practice, if this is how you conduct business. You wonโt be in it for long.

My dog was bitten in the face by a rattlesnake at 9pm. I am so thankful for a 24 hour emergency vet like them! They were kind and helpful and saved my baby! Love this place!!!

I called this morning to get my senior doxie in and they accommodated me so well! The front staff was friendly, the vet techs were compassionate and the vet herself made me feel so much better about my pup and her ailment! Sadie received amazing care from the team at Valdosta Vet Assocaites! Thank you so much for taking care of my Sadie!

After sending a complaint privately a month ago and not receiving any acknowledgment, I have decided to post a public review regarding my experience. I will preface this by mentioning that I am a veterinarian and sought emergency care for my cat as I do not work at a vet practice. I want to detail my experience so others can see what they may have to go through to advocate for appropriate veterinary care of their animals.I made an emergency visit on 9/19/23 with my senior cat after his tail was accidentally shut in the door. At home, he was in pain and there was obvious deviation of the tail tip with blood. I paid the emergency deposit and was immediately taken to an exam room. A technician took my cat's history. Part of this history is that full senior bloodwork was completed in the past six months by his regular vet. I specifically told the technician that he previously had a minor kidney level elevation that had returned to normal and his urinalysis was normal. He had no previous conditions and was not on any medications. I also warned the technician that he could be aggressive, especially when touching his tail. After discussing a plan with the technician, I approved radiographs, sedation, and any needed treatments (except bloodwork since it was done so recently). The tech took my cat from the room. I heard him meow angrily while I was waiting and the tech returned saying they would need to sedate to handle him, but bloodwork would be required first. I asked if bloodwork would change the treatment and the tech said no. I declined the bloodwork and said I would sign a consent form acknowledging the risks of sedation. The tech said nothing could be done without bloodwork and there was no consent form that could be signed. I declined bloodwork again and asked them to take my word that the bloodwork was normal. This was refused. I asked specifically for a pain injection that is safe for animals with kidney disease (even though he doesn't have kidney disease). They refused to treat my cat in any capacity and I was led out of the room.As a licensed veterinarian, I spent many years working in small animal practice and emergency. I have never experienced a situation where an animal was refused treatment (even just pain medication) due to one diagnostic like bloodwork being declined. As veterinarians, it is our job to offer the best plan of care, but it is not very often that all options can be pursued. In this case, I want to make it very clear that I was not trying to dictate the course of treatment but simply refusing to approve bloodwork that had just been performed.I am not sure if my cat ever received an examination, but allowing any animal to leave in pain with a tail fracture and laceration is below standard of care. Ultimately, if my cat needed sedation to be handled, how would they safely draw blood before sedating him anyway? If the veterinarian did not feel comfortable sedating without bloodwork, that is understandable and I respect that decision. However, it goes against the oath we take as veterinarians ("the prevention and relief of animal suffering") to refuse an examination and administration of pain medication that would have made him comfortable until I could get him to his regular vet the next morning. This clinic doubled down on requiring unnecessary diagnostics and ultimately refused care. I will never forget being treated like this by people that are my colleagues in this profession.

Staff are inattentive, condescending, and rude. The only reason I went back here again is that they are the only emergency vet service in my area. Brought in kitten with suspected poisoning by ingestion. Standard of care for someone who suspects poisoning would be to use an intervention to remove the undigested poison. Uncertain what it would be for an animal but suspect it is similar. They suspected "other things" like "rabies" and "blood disorders". Not saying that they should not rule those out but treat her for suspected poisoning first. Today was charged 300$ and nothing verifiably done to address the original complaint. I thought that hospital emergency rooms were bad but this place is ridiculous. When someone brings in a 5 month old indoor kitten that was picked up from a respected breeder two weeks ago and tells you they think the cat got into poison the staff go "oh could be rabies." The other ones the staff whip out are "you have to understand that this is an emergency room."

I spent a lot of money for my cat and Iโm not even sure if I saw a vet or only techs. I sat in the exam room for an hour and a half without anyone coming and telling me what was going on or keeping me informed.I am adding this to my original review as a response to the response I received about my review. There was a lot of untruths in their explanation. I called the office to speak to someone and even left a request for one of the vets to return my call and I have received no phone call as of yet. The person I talked to in the exam room never introduced themselves as a vet and did not have on a lab coat or name tag identifying them as the doctor. I was told multiple times Grumbles looks really good and nothing obvious was found as to the cause of her trouble. I was also told that she could be hospitalized for around $1200. I asked why should I hospitalize her and was told that hospitalization is never a bad thing. I am not going to put my pet in hospitalization if I canโt be told for what purpose. I was also never told to follow up with my normal vet the next day for more lab work. I brought Grumbles home that day and she died a few days later.

The receptionist team was very friendly and helpful. They got us checked in and out quickly. The nursing staff were friendly and professional. They listened to our concerns and quickly got our dog back for blood work and x-rays. Doctor Courson was amazing. Explained everything in detail. Set the course of action and the plan to make Zeus back to his normal happy self.

I have a great respect for Dr Bonne Mount, great vet and wonderful person! But, front desk people are not the best. I had a neutering surgery scheduled for my 5 months domestic shorthair kitten and I was asked the morning I was dropping him off for $300 deposit without any information about the final bill. When I asked for the estimate, I got the answer she doesnโt have one. After 15 minutes the front desk girl came back with a $539 estimateโฆ.that I found ridiculous! They had fair prices for the last year but now, Iโm sorryโฆ. Itโs Way too much ! I wish them good luck though!

I was very impressed with the care they showed my dogs. Gentle, polite. Will be going back to them. THANKS LADIES

the people here are absolutely wonderful, they took great care of my baby. The only problem i have is their pricing. i was quoted a price for surgery which was around $650. i was totally fine with that. well i payed my deposit so that they would begin my dogs surgery, and a few hours later i get a phone call saying that โit might beโ more than the quote. which i obviously at the time was okay with because i just wanted my pup to feel better. well when i got there to pick him up his surgery was over $1,100. there is absolutely no reason over 600$ worth of stuff i was not quoted before should have been on my bill.

We came in around 1 am after coming home late to find our sweet ferret Moxie passed away. They gave us a room to cry in and say our goodbyes one last time and were incredibly kind and gentle through the entire process. They walked us through pricing for a cremation and our options. I picked her up today and the box is very nice, I have an imprint of her paw prints, and there was a card signed by the employees. I have never used them before, they didnโt know me or my pet but the words on the card were so touching and sweet. Thank you.

I would give a -5 stars if possible the absolute worst experience I have ever had ! They have no compassion and never gave any updates we had to continue to call and go in for any updates and when they do you wrong they stand on it and donโt even try to make it right! We took our exotic bully in for a c-section and they waited until 4 puppies died and her last one was in the birth canal for at least 5 hours to perform a c-section which caused that puppy to die as well! And still tried to charge for the service and Dr. courson stated that itโs not our decision on what happens with our baby but it was her decision! Highly recommend to by pass this supposed to be vet !!
Tinaca Garner
If I could give negative stars I would. I understand emergency services being more costly but to price gouge for a surgery which costed less than half of what they wanted up front should be criminal. They wouldn't even attempt to work with us, wanted $2K up front and when we said we couldn't do it said nonchalantly that it would only cost $100 to euthanize our beloved kitty. Shame on them. And I will be sure to advise any and everybody to not give them their business. Take your fur baby to a vet that cares....these people truly do not.

My 1-year-old French Bulldog started having cluster seizures last Friday 12/16. I called Valdosta Veterinary Associates and I was told to bring her in if she had any more seizures. She ended up having 4 seizures in 4 hours so I rushed her in around 2:45 am. She was admitted and stayed there until Monday 12/19 when she was referred to the University of Florida in Gainesville for neurological concerns. Dr. Mount and Dr. Courson were amazing. They made sure she was getting all the appropriate medical attention she needed and went above and beyond in every aspect. I was so appreciative of how they would call me throughout the day to give me detailed updates on how she was doing and even let me go there and visit her while she was admitted. Iโm so thankful for them both and for the amazing care, they provided for my sweet girl ๐ค

My brother and I are new to the area and his dog got sick and opened a wound she had and was bleeding like crazy on Christmas Eve. We called them and spoke to someone who told use that they would call use back and never did. His dog got worse and we had to drive over and hour to an emergency animal hospital. This is terrible service

Awesome service, easy to get a hold of and be seen on a Saturday afternoon. My puppy got into rat poison and I am so thankful they were able to see him right away.Highly recommend this place !

We have been using this group since we moved to the area and have been nothing but 100% happy with them. When we first called them they were only doing house calls, and that works out great for us as our dogs are not animal friendly. When our boy needed surgery they were very accommodating and understanding for both the day of and the after care visits. They have ALL been professional and extremely friendly to both us and our two dogs. They are VERY fair with their prices and service. As long as we live in this area we will continue to use them. My gratitude and thanks go out to the entire family at VVA. I also would like to thank these veterans for their service to our great nation as well as our fur babies... thank you

Staff was friendly and thatโs as far as any good went. Our Dog came in with very bad diarrhea, he spent the night, no one ever called to update us on the dog we had to keep calling. When I called the last time they told me I could pick him up that he had no problems and he was better. We got our dog home and he was no better, his diarrhea was exactly the same so we called and they were rude put my wife on hold and never came back to the phone after 20 minutes. I would not take my dog back for any reason. They only care about the money.

Thankful for this practice and them being 24/7. They were the only vet open and we had to drive over an hour to get there. They jumped right in to help my dog from the minute we got there. The staff is very knowledgeable and gave the exact run down of how they concluded what was wrong. Pricing was normal for emergency services and we paid on the low end of what was quoted to us! I trusted leaving my dog overnight in their capable hands.

Our dog was bitten by a cottonmouth. Our regular vet was closed and the only option was to take her here. We NEVER saw a vet. We had to give them over $1,000 before they would even look at her. The girl at the front desk ignored us. We had to do all the calls to check on her they didnโt even call with updates when they said they would. Went to pick her up and still did not see or talk to a vet only the technician so I have no clue how or what they did to and with her!!! They owed us a refund and were in able to give it back due to the cards having different numbers same account his card instead of mine. We left with a very poor experience.

They get a negative 10 stars from me! Our girls pups were too big for her to deliver so she had a planned c-section and she went into labor early and they refused to give her a c-section until her last pup out of 7 died inside her because it was too big for her to push out. They said the first one died because it was too big to push out but still didnโt think she needed a c-section . 5 out of 7 pups died! And never heard a sorry we did all we could all they said soon as we walked in and said our girl name was it happens on first litters all the time (which it may do) but we have many litters and never had this experience. If we wanted her to have them naturally we could have done that at home like we do with all our other babies!

Absolutely the worst service Iโve ever experienced! Front desk staff are rude and condescending. They are emotionally absent and really donโt care about you or your pet! Donโt advertise being a 24 hr emergency vet if youโre NOT! If you take your pet in and theyโre busy, theyโll just tell you we canโt see your pet!! How is this possible if youโre a 24 hr emergency clinic? In reality they are a veterinary office that is open after hours, BUT itโs a first come first serve basis!! Terrible service, terrible attitude, zero empathy and they will let your pet suffer! Ridiculous Valdosta that this is the only option available for emergency vet care!!

Shannon Hicks

I was first introduced to Valdosta Veterinary Care when Charlie, my yorkie and heart, was very unexpectedly faced with death and was transferred to their facility for emergency care. My heart was broken, but VVC was the most empathetic and understanding people I could have ever asked to meet! The staff was wonderful! When I finally decided it was time for another baby, I tried using my original veterinarian but eventually returned to VVC. The care and compassion they gave during my time of grief was unbelievable, especially given that we had never met. I can't say enough good things about Valdosta Veterinary Associates!

Beginning was great, but at the end terrible. I came from 1 hr. 20 min. away on a Sunday (arrived around 9:30 am) because no vets were open in my town. I called ahead and told a tech about my 8 week old puppyโs symptoms. She said bring her in for a parvo test. They tested my puppy and it was negative โ- relief! I was asked to come in and discuss what to do next. I came in and waited and waited. I asked the receptionist if they knew I was there. She went in the back and soon a tech came and took my puppyโs vitals. All were normal. Yay! She said a vet wasnโt there but would be any minute now. I waited and waited again. I finally explained to receptionist that I was hungry, tired and getting a headache and that I am diabetic. I asked when vets would get there. She did not know. I asked to pay for what they had done and leave. She made my bill and gave me a teacher discount. I was not charged for the visit itself. Great!Staff was wonderful, understanding and kind, but NO VET at a 24 hour emergency animal clinic is ridiculous! My puppy turned out to be fine, but what if she needed immediate care that only a vet could give? Terrible!I will ask if a vet will be on the premises if I need them again.

I had to have my best friend put down and the vet tech was really sweet and helped me feel at peace. The vet gave me the run down on his condition and did not make me feel like a terrible person or guilty. She was the first vet in 5 months to be honest with me about his condition and show genuine concern for my cat. I wish I would have known about this place sooner before it was too late. Thank you VVA for being so kind to me during that hard time. I will definitely keep you all in mind for future vet services.

A little pricey, but for the experience I had, it was worth it. Woke up in the night to my dog having an allergic reaction and drove from 45 mins away to get him seen. Receptionist stayed in the phone with me and gave me info and told me what she thought. Got there and they had him in and out. $224 for an IV Benadryl and a steroid to help the itching, so a bit on the higher side, but they gave me peace of mind and assured my that my boy was okay. Would definitely recommend and will use them over going to Tallahassee in the future.

These gals have saved the lives of two of my pets now and have been so kind and understanding with everything and helped me make sure that I could afford all the necessary treatments needed for them without any that I didn't like a lot of other vets I've dealt with in the past. These gals saved my dog and took her in right away when HER OWN vet in Hahira turned us away at the door and told us to come back tomorrow and refused to even look at her during business hours without an appt. I brought her straight to you guys where you took her in and saw that she would have died if left over night and did emergency surgery and saved her life. I can not thank these gals up there enough. The vets there's well as the staff have hearts of gold and while some may not appreciate their vets, know that I do. These gals deserve all the wonderful things coming their way!

I gave my kitten a bath the other night and she started foaming at the mouth and freaking out. We took her to this vet since it was late at night. They did go through all the possibilities and we told them about the bath. It was cat safe shampoo. But they kept her for two nights and just watched her! No blood work no fluids! They thought she had rabies! I had gotten bit by grabbing at her and so I spent six hours in the Er for the vaccine. Better safe than sorry. But they missed her actual problem! Thankfully her primary vet stepped in and sheโs transferred now to a place who will give her a chance! While VVA wanted us to make a decision! We are very upset with how they handled this! Do not take your animals here!

I WAS NOT ABLE TO TAKE MY DOG TO THEM...THEY WANTED A $500 DEPOSIT BECAUSE IT WAS AFTER HOURS BEFORE THEY WOULD EVEN SEE HER!!!!! MONEY HUNGRY, DIDN'T CARE ABOUT MY DOG AT ALL!!!! I called them with a sick kitty and was told to bring him in and they would be waiting. I was greeted by a different person than I had talked to on the phone, but continuity of care was established and the first point of care representative had already been informed and was awaiting my arrival. Within 10 minutes of walking through the door they had him in a room, looked at, diagnosed, starting treatment, and was informing me of the situation. Educated me on what was wrong, how to find signs and symptoms of the illness, how to treat and/or avoid the problem and best of all had my baby feeling better!!!. Dr. C and her staff thoroughly explained everything as well as addressed and answered all my cares and concerns. I highly recommend this business!

My first time to vva first noticed how clean and fresh everything looked. Smell can be everything and it was great. Smiling faces. Dr. Randolph super professional and personable. Dr. Appleton came to greet us in exam room. Overall a really nice place to take my pets.

We were sent here by accident by our vet for emergency treatment (July 2021). When they quoted the price they said we could move our pet to another vet if we couldnโt afford it. When I called back to move her. They said they had already been working on her blood work, rabies vaccine, fluids and that I owed $462 dollars. I ended up taking her to another vet. They let my cat suffer all night with no pain medicine. The 2nd vet gave her pain medicine and her vaccines and sent her home to await amputation of her tail. I paid for pain medicine and vaccines at the 1st vet but didnโt receive them. They are very deceiving with their prices and wanted to charge me 1,100 for surgery. Never ever again will I step in this place. They are a new business who wonโt be in business long.

I am very pleased with them , they are so kind and gentle with our dog and are dog really likes them, when we first had an emergency they were so caring and so understanding and very patient with me and they give good advice .They are very clean also and when you walk in the door, they greet you and are willing to answer any questions you may have and if they can't answer your questions they will go in the back and let them know and they will help and so far ,I have scene smiles on there faces .

These nice folks allowed me to come on short notice and we're extremely polite and professional, not to mention, very nice with our dog (who is timid around new people). We came here out of convenience, due to them being open on a Saturday... Needless to say, I made appointments for all of my animals, with intentions of making this the primary care Vet for all of my fur babies.

Emergency services are expensive but glad to have them. Loved the vet and the vet tech. Vet Ms Tori and vet tech Ms Dianna. Very kind and knowledgeable and helpful. I hope I never have to go back, but if I do I hope they are the ones there. Thank you for all your work to help my cat, Smudge.
Bobbie Kilpatrick
Donโt get me wrong I am glad that someone took my furbaby there when she got hit by a car. But me personally I pray I never have to use them again. This place straight out is not worth going to. It doesnโt matter how good of a vet doctor you are. You charge people way to much for doing nothing. My bill was almost $700 and all you did nothing. No pain meds, no X-rays, you charge to move from crate to another. You tried to tell me she had a spinal injury and never examined her. I donโt see how you lay your head down at night ripping people off. This place legalized extortion.
Robert Corkren
Our dogs had been patients here for about 1 1/2 years! Recently, we have decided to find a new practice for our four legged children, as the neuter/umbilical hernia surgeries performed on our Australian Shepard was poorly executed and extremely unacceptable!! We were not given any medication for post surgery swelling, pain, or infection and we now have to pay for an additional surgery to get our dogs umbilical hernia repair surgery repaired!! I would not recommend Valdosta Veterinary Associates to anyone! You can see their handy work in the pictures below ๐ก

I cannot express how thankful I am for the staff and drs there. They explained everything in detail and didn't hesitate to answer my questions. Everyone there was professional, friendly and so very nice. This was an emergency visit and they did not waste time to find out what was going on with my furbaby, Bella. I am very grateful to have Valdosta Veterinary Associates in our community. Without them, I dont know what I would have done. Excellent teamwork.I definitely highly recommend them for all your furbabies needs. Again, thank you Valdosta Veterinary Associates. Yall Rock!!!

HONESTLY....WHO IN THIS ECONOMY HAS $500 TO JUST PUT DOWN WITH ABSOLUTELY NOTHING BEING DONE? I KNOW I DON'T! ๐คฌ๐คฌ๐คฌ๐คฌ

The reception and tech staff at VVA is exceptional in their service! Our baby had a broken leg and the doctors gave us a variety of treatment plan options to suit our needs. Also, the staff is exceptional.

Wow, came with my dog with emergency to find out that they didnโt have doctor on site. And there will be no doctor next day eitherโฆ what is the point of being open as an โemergencyโ? Luckily, this could have waited until the morning so we took our baby to a regular vet. But still, we were ready to pay any โemergencyโ fees, as long as they could do the tests and prescribe antibiotics necessary

I am grateful thar Valdosta now has an after hours ER vet. My pup was treated quickly. Dx was accurate per recheck by my reg vet a few days later, and he made a quick recovery. Communication was good and outcome was great!

This is the best 24 hour vet that we have ever used with our little Meme the staff and the Doctors are so kind and helpful to explain everything that will be going on with the treatment of our little fur baby Meme. She is there with them right now and I know she is in good hands I want to Thank all of the Doctors and staff that has taken such good care of her it means the world and to me.Maybe she will be home soon

Poor excuse for a boarding facility. Boarded two dogs here for one night. They were not given their medication or treats. Not harnessed correctly when we picked them up โ one was hanging off loose and the other was put on so tightly the dog had to be cut out of it. Each of the dogs drank an entire bowl of water when we got them home as if they had not had any for a while. When I voiced my concerns with the vet she said they tried to call me about the medication because they had questions. They did try to call, and when I called back several hours later I was told they did not know why they had called me, but they would call me back if they figured it out. They never called me back. The vet said the other concerns were not their responsibility.

Thank you so much for taking care of my sweet Biscuit!! Each person we came in contact with were amazing and so kind.

Absolutely abhorrent and unacceptable conduct. Yesterday (4/8/2021) a young lady took her puppy in seeking treatment for seizures. She was told the treatment would be $700.00 which she did not have but was trying to raise. Because she did not have the 700 for treatment, a treatment which was not provided, they put her puppy down without allowing her to be with him/give him comfort/or say goodbye to him even though the euthanasia was paid for by her family. You don't do this to pets or their owners. Not only does it show a lack of humanity, compassion or empathy, it is unprofessional and unacceptable and must be accounted for which is why a formal complaint has been filed with the Georgia State Board of Licensing. They've been in business for 5 months and if you pursue their reviews on Facebook you will see where they publicly discuss pets medical conditions while also claiming they can't due to HIPPA, discuss patients financial info, and insult them. There are several emergency veterinary services in the area, I highly recommend you utilize one of them instead.

I will say that my family learned from my our mistake... All we'll say, that we will not send another one of my love one's to them by any means...because my love one did not come back. It's sad to say that when you are new to a small country town and all the views seem so great, you take them for just that... my baby was a healthy 5months, all his tests came back good, not one negative test lab result x-rays and all, my baby just had injury... nowhere they could say it was major injury...we had to keep call to get update about my baby, the doctor was never about to explain what was going on and why. They always on a major emergency and couldn't never talk to explain nothing. I felt that they would say just about anything to rush and get us off of the phone becausewe think they know best...they never notified us of any changes in my baby behavior....everything was so great that they send my baby home in which it seem as if things was getting worse so we send my baby back to the vet less then 24hrs my baby pass away. After all we did get an $2,000 bill later and a deceased child... we are so broken to have to lose a child so soon. NEVER AGAIN VALDOSTA VETERINARY ASSOCIATES.

The staff graciously ignored my theatrics during my fur babies emergency and got us checked in over the phone before we even arrived. They took great care of him and he was able to come home quickly. Highly recommend

Hands down the best 24/7 vet around. Thanks for helping our big boy out.
Blair Roberts
Called with a question about an emergency visit and the receptionist was rude and unhelpful. The woman who answered the phone diagnosed my dogs condition over the phone but refused to let me speak with a nurse or a vet for liability reasons. When I asked about the prices for an emergency visit I was told it was a 100$ entrance fee, but then they would have to run tests โthat vary in price,โ but refused to give a price range.
Autumn Dickens
They are a new business who wonโt be in business long.
lisa jaworowski
I am very pleased with them , they are so kind and gentle with our dog and are dog really likes them, when we first had an emergency they were so caring and so understanding and very patient with me and they give good advice .They are very clean also and when you walk in the door, they greet you and are willing to answer any questions you may have and if they can't answer your questions they will go in the back and let them know and they will help and so far ,I have scene smiles on there faces .
Matt Elsberry
These nice folks allowed me to come on short notice and we're extremely polite and professional, not to mention, very nice with our dog (who is timid around new people). We came here out of convenience, due to them being open on a Saturday... Needless to say, I made appointments for all of my animals, with intentions of making this the primary care Vet for all of my fur babies.
Amanda Gentry
Ellen Mcdowell
I cannot express how thankful I am for the staff and drs there. They explained everything in detail and didn't hesitate to answer my questions. Everyone there was professional, friendly and so very nice. This was an emergency visit and they did not waste time to find out what was going on with my furbaby, Bella. I am very grateful to have Valdosta Veterinary Associates in our community. Without them, I dont know what I would have done. Excellent teamwork.I definitely highly recommend them for all your furbabies needs. Again, thank you Valdosta Veterinary Associates. Yall Rock!!!

I was also told the pricing for the different HW medicine before I chose to purchase it.

ALL MILITARY PERSONNEL- AVOID!!Not only was booking an appointment absolute misery. Never in my life have I had to pay extra money for a X-ray that was NOT needed NOR to my knowledge until after the fact ( which makes a $20 bill to $55 ) AND have a brand new splint completely come off the very next day and pay AGAIN to get redone when it was NOT properly put on by the veterinarian!!So Instead of paying $20 for a simple splint change I ended up paying $80 within two days because the vet lacks communication and skill to put on a SPLINT!!With upmost dissatisfactory, I will firmly sway all military personnel and others from seeking their services.

Without question, the best vets in town. They are caring and compassionate from the moment you enter the building. Practicing lazy medicine. We brought our puppy in for diarrhea. 2 littermates tested NEGATIVE for parvo and positive for Coccidia (a parasite that causes diarrhea). Puppy was not vomiting, not having bloody stool and not lethargic at all. We were told we HAD to do a parvo test in order to be seen. This is not good practice. We even showed receipts from another vet showing negative test on littermate. Recommend: Treat patients, not protocols and numbers.

Prices are absolutely ridiculous. They care more about lining their pockets than taking care of animals. We avoid having to use them at all costs because it feels like you need to take out a loan in order to have your pets looked at and sent home immediately

Kimberly Sirmans
Would not come in after hours (early morning 4:30 am) but are supposed to be a 24/7 vet emergency facility. The 24/7 claim is untrue. They will answer but then refer you to Tallahassee or Gainesville.

I donโt think theyโre a good fit for emergency services! My dog is sick with PAVO and I contacted them because they 5 min away they told me I have to drive 2 hour because they have more critical cases to handle itโs 4am

Everyone there is very helpful. So glad when I moved to the area 3 months ago I found not only a great vet staff, but affordable prices. Thank you.

Very convenient in the middle of Valdosta and the only vet 24/7 with flexible drop off and pick up times.
Kelsey Jackson
If I could give them less than 1 I would. Money hungry , terrible customer service, and honestly just so rude. Please donโt take your babies to this place. They need to get out of Valdosta ASAP.Negative Responsiveness, Reliability, Quality, Professionalism, Value โฆMore

Horrible practice. Horrible place. They want $700 upfront before even seeing for an emergency. Do not go here! Theyโre a joke and no help.
