Our lovely Grace passed shockingly for us, she was 17, from the shelter and was living with us 12 years, and “grew” together with my daughter… The Service we got for cremation was excellent, the driver picked the body very fast, and as we were promised, we got Grace back in a week, in a wooden box with her name on it. I recommend the Compassionate Care Pet Aquamation who satisfied our hope and expectations

An experience that I would recommend to anyone despite not wishing it on anyone.. On a horrible Monday morning, we woke up to our 2 1/2 year old cat Obie passed on the living room floor. He wasn’t sick, we had no warning, just fine one minute and gone the next. We were in hysterics up until shock. Necropsy’s are extremely expensive, and so we knew we just needed to have his remains handled. Some people have pets just to have them, and others have animals that are truly part of the family and with this loss leaves a hole. We called our vet, we called crematoriums, it all felt so transactional and we felt that even after death, Obie deserved the best. We spoke with Allan over the phone and he was extremely compassionate and understanding, spoke to us with empathy and explained aquamation as we never heard about it before. We loved that Obie wouldn’t be burned, and that he would be handled with care and we felt we could trust Allan. We realized he was over an hour farther then the places we called and even despite the convenience of pick up/drop off provided by crematories (all with no facility in house as I now know) we knew that Obie deserved nothing less then Compassionate Care. After arrival, we were warmly welcomed by the entire staff. Allan was just as comforting in person and validated our racing emotions, Jim gave us a tour of the facility and walked us through the process step by step, also extremely validating, and Chrissy was kind to us who handles the remains afterward. I feel like this would have been a much worse experience with a harder emotional overcoming had we not gone to them. They were professional, kind, and HUMAN about our feline baby boy. Allan even stayed later since we ran into traffic to pick him up, and stood kind and empathetic the whole way. They all shared their experiences and we’re extremely grateful for their care, with Obie as well as with us. It’s a service that I will continue to recommend to my family and loved ones for years to come now that I’m educated on it, and I will specifically recommend Compassionate Care Per Aquamation due to the care provided by Allan and Jim. Thank you guys from the bottom of our hearts 💔❤️

Compassionate Care Pet Aquamation was there for us when our boy Sparky 15 1/2 years old passed away. Alan and the staffs make us feel at ease when making the hardest decisions. After dealing with my first pet death and the most immediate death that happened to me, I'm glad that they handled my boy bunny Gilgamesh. They picked him up the day he passed away and since he was in a blanket they even remembered to mark it down to give back. They were fully transparent of the timing and let me know via phone when he was available for pickup. I personally opted to go by public transit (subway and LIRR) so be aware they can only do pick ups from 10 AM - 4 PM from Monday to Friday otherwise shipping delivery is ~$60 and drop off is ~$70. The urn they gave was beautiful and the vet that picked him up who I met again at pickup when I went was so kind and sweet. Out of all the pet cremation options they were the most affordable and gave great service overall!

My first cat passed away at night on Saturday August 19th, 2023, I called Compassionate Care right away. They answered the phone very fast and made an appointment to pick up my cat in the Sunday morning. People are very care and kind, telling me I can get my cat home in a week. I feel very sad for my cat passed away but very thankful for their service. My the other beloved 14 years old cat passed away at 6 am on Christmas morning 2024. I took her back home from the VEG, and contacted Alan right away around 7:30am. I was worried because it's the holiday day. However, Alan answered me very fast said they could send someone to pick up my cat in 2 hours. The day I was very sad, tired and worried, but the company just took care of my cat very kindly and didn't let her wait for too long. Around a week, I got my cat back. Just wanna say so many thanks to the people who works in this company taking care of our beloved pets. Thanks for the kindness and great service.

It is terrible to lose a pet and difficult to know what to do and how. Our beautiful kitty passed away after a good life of 18 years. We were intrigued by the idea of aquamation, and Alan was so helpful in explaining the process. More importantly, he comforted us in our grief and arranged for Juan, who was very respectful to bring our sweetheart to their location. We received the small elegant box with her nameplate and remains today and seeing her on the mantel with mementos of all our loved ones brings us peace. Highly recommended.

Such wonderful and empathetic service myself and my family received while dealing with such grief of losing a very important member of our family, our Bleú. Now with the Lord in Dog Glory 🥹❤️ Thank you so much for your kind and caring words, helping us to understand the whole process and treating our Bleú after passing with respect, love, and care. I honestly am so happy that I decided to go with this company for pet aquamation, I also love my hand carved wooden boxed urn.

I could write a novel longer than War & Peace and not have enough pages to describe the services provided by Compassionate Care Pet Aquamation. My Mahvelous Mahvin died, at home, New Year Day early morning and a Google search let me to Alan who answered tthe phone who led me to Jim who drove into NYC to pick up Mahvin and rescue me. Jim called me from the Triborough Bridge and talked to me until he arrived at my building and got in the elevator. Compassionate is not a big enough word, the word for their service is not in the dictionary. Mahvin LOVED water, hopped in the shower, drank from the faucet and pawed at his fountain so how fitting that his end would be water. I will tell everyone I know how wonderful they are and Eco-friendly in a time of climate chaos, Mahvin contributed to the solution. He took his final car ride home today and I am not sad. I am grateful for our 15 years together and doubly grateful for Compassionate Care Aquamation.

I met Alan and his team through Lap of Love when I picked up our beloved cat Bailey in Oceanside at the Compassionate Care office. I chose to pick her and not have her mailed to us and I am so grateful that I did as it gave us the opportunity to meet Alan.Bailey was in a beautiful wood box with her name on it. Alan was very kind in explaining the process and how different it is from the standard cremation process, more eco-friendly. He was kind and compassionate, simply put, wonderful.

Losing a pet is the worst feeling in the world and the last thing you want to do is price out cremation services. Alan was absolutely amazing in helping us make our decision to use aquamation. He was caring and considerate. They picked up our dog from the vet and he was ready for pick up within days. The urn is beautiful and we couldn’t have asked for a better stress free experience.

Our best girl, Scarlett, was suffering from DM for over year and we made the awful decision to plan for her peaceful passing. I called around for services and found Compassionate Care Pet Aquamation and I knew immediately I wanted to go with them. It was such an awful day calling around, planning for my dog’s death and CCPA were the kindest people I talked to all day.We ended up going through Paws at Peace bc I saw they worked directly with Compassionate Care. Alan and his team were so wonderful and incredibly caring every time I would call. It made us feel at ease she was cared for until the very end and we would get her back safe and sound with us. When we picked her up, Alan spoke with us about his own experiences with loss and how the aquamation process worked. It was just the best experience and we’re just so happy our girl is back with us again. Thank you so much for everything.

I can only say how lucky we are to have found Compassionate Care Pet Aquamation when we had to say goodbye to our sweet boy Jjang. From the moment Jim picked up the phone, to the very end when we picked our boys ashes up, Compassionate Care and Jim showed so much empathy - that made the process a lot easier. Saying goodbye to your beloved family member is one of the hardest things to do - so making that any easier is an extremely difficult job. However, because of the care shown by Compassionate Care, we felt some peace. Unlike other options available, you get to see the place, learn about the process, and meet the people who will be taking care of your loved ones final journey. Hearing my dad say he felt better made it all worth it. I can't recommend Compassionate Care enough, thank you guys - especially Jim for being so caring.

I was happy to learn of a more eco friendly solution for end of life services and that I chose Compassionate Care to handle my ESA pet’s aquamation. His disease blindsided me and I struggled quite a bit in the early days. So much support and help came through during this difficult time and CCA was one of them. Within 4 hours of his passing, the undertaker arrived and a little over two weeks later, I got my baby back. Thank you so much. I love you forever Cow and I miss you my sweet boy.

We found Compasionate Care when we unexpectedly lost our fur baby Ivan. Two years later we were very happy to know we could turn to them again for their care and detail. The folks are wonderful. The urns are beautiful. The process is better than cremation. Highly highly recommend and am grateful for their help and support.

Alan has been a longtime friend of our family. When it was our family dog’s time to go, he offered so much compassion and support. Alan and his team took such amazing care of us and provided us with peace of mind and guidance on how to navigate this difficult time. He took care of our pet quickly and his services were done within the week and our pet was ready to be picked up. He gifted us with a beautiful name plated wooden box to hold our Chief, and also gave us a card with his paw print stamped on it. He approached the process and everyone involved with utmost sensitivity and respect. It was such an emotional time and Alan and his team provided us the most seamlessway to part with our pet. I highly recommend Alan and Compassionate Care!

I can’t speak highly enough about Allen and how he comforted us during a difficult time this past December. Our sweet baby wasn’t sick, but went peacefully in her sleep mid Dec at home at 13 years old. That day in sunday at 8pm while googling cremation places to contact directly vs bringing her to a Vet that sends her out to a cremation company, we discovered Allen’s company and first heard about Aquamation. We planned on leaving him a message at 8pm that Sunday evening. Not only did he answer his work phone, but he spoke with us for 20 mins being so caring. We visited him the next morning with our passed dog wrapped in her favorite Hello Kitty blanket. We had a great meeting with him that morning, and from the moment we met him to the time we picked up her beautiful box with her Snow White ashes we have on display (as well as plant nutrients we plan to use when we plant a beautiful bush this Spring), we had a great experience. I have since told everyone about Aquamation, and Allen. May he make your sad day a better one too. Thank you Allen.

I’m always hesitant to leave a less than stellar review on a small business, but felt obligated to share our experience. We used a partnering business called Paws At Peace who came to our house to help say goodbye to my sweet 19-year old cat Jesse. Although tragic and sad, that experience was fine and the nurse was lovely and compassionate. They cremate through Compassionate Care, where I elected for a pick up of Jesse’s remains as NYC delivery options are risky and unpredictable. I received a personalized text that Jesse’s ashes were ready to be picked up, and scheduled Friday morning. I took the day off and made the 60-minute drive to pick up the ashes, and when I arrived, they didn’t know who I was. They were looking in drawers, entering and exiting doors…it felt like bizarro world. Eventually, they somehow discovered that his ashes had been sent to Ivy Pets, a place I’ve never heard of, was never mentioned to me, and which was in Midwood a town about an hour away, plus another hour away from my home. The folks at Compassionate Care were nice enough, although casual, as if I hadn’t just prepared myself to pick up my dead cat’s ashes on an hour drive to be told they were elsewhere. While waiting for them to explain what was going on, I asked to speak with the woman who texted me the pick-up instructions and was told she no longer worked there. On my way out a supervisor offered me a necklace that you can put ash in, which I appreciated the gesture. An hour later when I made it to Ivy Pets, they did in fact have my cat’s ashes, although they misspelled his name on the engraving, which I physically typed during the registration so that could have/should have been verified. I’ve pulled the tab off as it was adhesive, so nothing irreversible, but it did feel a bit insulting after the ordeal as a whole. The most important thing is that Jesse’s ashes are safe and home with us, but for $860 I expected more Compassion and Care.

It’s been a heartbreaking loss for our family to lose our beloved dog right before the holidays. We were fortunate enough to discover Compassionate Care Pet Aquamation to handle the after life care for Bella. Between the gentler option of treating her body and the kind supportive words from Alan, it was certainly some form of unexpected comfort amongst the rest of the tragedy. Another bonus is the environmental impact. In a world where the impacts of climate change is very real, we should all do what we can to treat our home a little bit better. If you are in the unfortunate situation to be looking into after life care for your pet, I highly recommend considering compassionate care. What you can expect - an option to drop off or have them pick up (fee applies) your deceased pet. Option to pick up, USPS mail, or concierge delivery of the remains. 24 hour availability for phone calls. A compassionate team that doesn’t make it all about being a transaction.

I lost my sweet cat Charlie a little over a week ago. I was distraught and wasn't sure what I would do to put her at rest. I combed through review after review in tears finding it difficult to trust anyone with taking care of Charlie in a dignified way. I came across compassionate care and I'm so glad I did! I was terrified of the bad reviews I had seen from local pet cremation companies. From the first call to the last goodbye, Charlie and I was treated with respect, kindness and warmth throughout the entire process. The team made sure I was informed and comforted me with their words and professionalism.I brought charlie in on short notice and was able to bring her home the following monday! It's never easy saying good bye to someone you love but the compassionate care team helped with making this process so much easier.Guys, thank you so much!Allen, Barry, Jim...my family and I cannot thank you enough.Charlie will live on in my heart, in my home and in my garden thanks to compassionate care ❤️⭐️Compassionate care Aquamation vs traditional cremation-Affordable-Environmentally friendly- A great service & wonderful people⭐️I was not paid for this review, nor I am.a family friend. I'm just extremely gratefulPictures***-jewelry urn I placed on a dagger- beautiful urn with name engraved plate amongst some indoor plants that will move outside in spring. 🌱☀️

I recently lost my beloved 18-year-old cat Poopy, short for Poopy Paws, whom I affectionately named when I was just six and he was 7 weeks old. The team at Compassionate Care Pet Aquamation was incredibly respectful, professional, empathetic, patient, and kind. They were extremely helpful and adapted quickly to some unforeseen circumstances . I cannot express enough how amazing and caring Alan was. Losing my sweet dog, Boy, who was 16 years old, was incredibly difficult, but Alan's sincerity and empathy made the process more bearable. He took the time to thoroughly explain the aquamation process, ensuring I understood every step and felt comfortable with the decision.Alan's genuine concern and kindness were present throughout, making me feel supported during such a tough time. I appreciate how environmentally friendly the aquamation process is. Knowing that Boy's remains will be used as a fertilizer, allowing him to live on and contribute to new life, brings me a great sense of peace. Thank you, Alan, for your exceptional care and for helping me honor Boy in such a meaningful way!

The day my beloved 14 year-old yorkie passed, I knew that Mimi would be in good hands with Compassionate Care. I never knew about aquamation until coming across this company, it is a much gentler process and causes less harm to the environment. Without a doubt, I knew that I wanted this for my pet. Jim and Alan were especially kind and made my grieving process a lot less hard. They always asked how I was feeling and I always felt reassured that my pup was being given the best care. I could see that they are very passionate about what they do. Mimi's ashes came out beautiful as did her urn and will remain a special place in my heart. Compassionate Care provides the best services for a pet's afterlife and I would definitely come to them again for when it is time. I am forever grateful for their team.

I was originally going to leave a good review after the initial interactions prior to picking up my dog's ashes, but I encountered several disappointing issues when picking up so now here I am. I'm going to do a breakdown since theres a character limit.Pros: Service/staff/owner interactions were respectful and nice. You get to speak with the owner, Alan, directly. Almost as if he's on call 24/7.Cons:1. Website could include more details on the process on what to do after your pet passes as opposed to all the links just leading to the phone number to call.2. The pick up and payment form does not have a section to add comments or specifications on what was discussed. So you just have to take their word for it if you wanted a particular thing done. I had my own urns so I stated I would not have need for theirs, and requested 2 separate bags of ashes. Alan said it can be done. My family member wanted to add on a paw imprint the next day, so I call back to make sure to add that on, reiterate the 2 bags of ashes, and make sure that their own urn is removed from the total or just swapped with the paw imprint. Alan assured me he'd written it down.3. Their website store can only be seen after completion of the processing form, but no option for paw imprint there.4. They messed up, big time. I went out of my way to go pick it up in person, and of course; my dog's ashes are in a wooden box. The ashes are in 1 bag. And theres no paw imprint.Literally everything I wanted was not done. Granted the ashes, were split afterwards by the nice gentleman working there. But it was just the fact I went out of my way taking 3 trains, it was freezing out, I'm carrying luggage, I was hoping to catch the next train out which I missed because of the mistakes. I haven't even fully processed my dog's death yet because I had to go to work the night she died. And now this moment in time, standing in that office, one disappointment after the next, is essentially a core memory.Like I said, they're nice. Alan made sure to call me and refund the unneeded urn/box. But for obvious reasons, I can't use this place again. And as a suggestion, if the form was updated to include comments or additional options, it may have prevented such a huge oversight. This business has potential, but its still running in an old-school way. Best of luck to you.

After a brief but devastating illness, my beloved Jax took his last breath in my arms, on the beach he loved, surrounded by friends and family. Lap of Love sent a beautiful compassionate dr. To help us with this difficult journey. Unbeknownst to me, Lap of Love delivered my beloved pooch to Compassionate Care. A little less than a week later, I was contacted by CC that my Jaxie was ready to come home. The level of compassion shown to me by everyone I came in contact with was so touching. I had never heard of aquamation, they were so patient in explaining the process. I was so happy to know that even in this final moment, we caused no harm to nature and our environment.By far the most difficult situation I have ever had to go through, but between Dr. Lotus from Lap of Love and the folks at CC, i was able to give my sweet angel a compassionate and dignified final rest.Thank you, Allan and everyone at CC for your patience, and caring. 💛🐾

Saying goodbye to my baby was the hardest and painful experience. Showing us the full view of the how the process works and explaining everything in detail. Alan made sure me and my husband were both comfortable going through with the process of helping our pet move on. It definitely shows how passionate Alan is with his work. His kind words and small gestures made both me and my husband know that we put our cat in good hands. I am grateful to have found Alan and his team.

Allen is a wonderful man! He made me feel very comfortable talking to him over the phone and in person when I was a mess. He’s caring, gentle and kind . I trusted him with my baby girl. I would recommend everyone to this place when there loved one is climbing the stairway to heaven. I was blessed to have had her for 17 years ! I love and miss my EVE!

I knew the time was coming for my 17 year old Bella to cross over the rainbow bridge. I wanted a vet to come to the house instead of going to the office. As I was searching for one I came across Compassionate Care Pet Aquamation. I called and spoke to Alan. He explained everything to me in great detail. I had never heard of Aquamation. He then sent me a text with his personal cell number and told me to call or text anytime. I did just that and he was always prompt and understanding with all my questions. Bella passed on February 14th. Alan took excellent care of my baby and returned her ashes to me in a beautiful wood urn. More people should be made aware that we have a choice when it comes to our pets afterlife. Aquamation is not only gentler for our pets, but also the environment. I highly recommend them.

This is by far the best and most compassionate way for you to lay your Family's Pet to Rest, not only is it eco friendly and affordable with no hidden fees. The staff was very friendly and Compassionate to our grief, the facility was non threatening and spotless when we had our guided tour and had everything explained to us by Alan. And everything is done with water no flames or burning.

Oscar was only with our family for six years since he was a rescue kitty, but he delivered us through a lot! Of all the reasons I could be grateful for his companionship, it would be that he directed me to Compassionate Care Aquamation the moment he passed away. Needing to do something, I looked up "pet cremation" and Compassionate Care was the first to pop up. Alan took my call and kindly discussed the process with me over the phone. It seemed so gentle and serene, I couldn't picture Oscar going any other way. I hope more pet owners learn about aquamation and highly recommend this peaceful transformation.

Having to say goodbye to my best friend of 17 years was one of the most heart-wrenching times of my life. Since I am gravely concerned about global environment, finding Compassionate Care Pet Aquamation Crematorium was such a blessing for her “after-care”. Alan was extremely sensitive and understanding when he explained the entire process of how my Maxie would be handled and what to expect when she was ready to come back home with me. And it was just a matter of five days. The interaction I had with Alan and Jim, from beginning to end, made it a lot easier on my heartstrings. I miss her every day, but Compassionate Care was truly a godsend for her peaceful final closure.

I was at a complete loss when my hedgehog passed away late at night on July 8. Not knowing my options besides burial, I knew that wasn’t what I wanted to do. After long searches on google i came across Compassionate Care Aquamation I called early the next morning and spoke with Alan, he talked me through the entire process and made me feel extremely comfortable in my decision. Alan was so educated and gave me the pros of Aquamation and the cons of your typical cremation and that right there made me realize that I was doing what was best for my animal myself and the environment. Upon arrival at the establishment I was welcomed with compassion and someone who understood the grief that I was feeling, I was shown around the establishment and shown step by step what my sweet boys next few days in their care would look like. I was updated on the process the whole time which put me at ease knowing it was for sure my animals ashes that I was going to receive back. Upon pick up of my sweet Boy Harrison Alexander I was given the most beautiful urn with his name engraved into it. If you are looking to cremate an animal I highly recommend looking into aquamation and going here because compassionate care made the process of grieving the loss of my beloved pet so much easier than I thought it ever would be.

This was absolutely the best choice for my furbaby and myself, such a serene, peaceful way for his remains to rest and he would continue on serving his purpose in life after death, water instead of fire is a beautiful less invasive way. Excellent service from first contact to the end. Thank you so much Alan and Jim, you guys surely embody the companies name COMPASSIONATE!!!Oreo Tuxi 5/28/2015 - 6/11/23

I can’t thank Alan and his team for the wonderful and great job of bringing my baby back to me. From the moment i call to inquiry to picking up my bunny fluffy, he was so attentive, caring and a heart of gold. It was hard saying goodbye to my fluffy but with Alan and his team and the love and support provided. I knew fluffy will still and always be with me. I highly highly recommended them if your looking to have a wonderful and beautiful transition for your pet. I know my fluffy is smiling down on me and happy, because I wanted her to know she was very special to us and we forever love her.

I can't even begin to express my gratitude to Allen and Jim. I knew our Lulu was sick for about a month before her passing. My friend gave me their info. From the first phone call, I knew these beautiful souls would take care of my baby. From just a phone call, to picking her up, to getting her back home where she belongs..as I said to Jim the day before Lulu came home, they will always hold a special place in my heart. Thank you for giving my girl the best send off. She deserved the best and she was given that.Much love,Nicole

I had never heard of Aquamation until reading it was the method chosen by theologian Desmond Tutu. Knowing fire cremation and physical burial is deleterious to the environment Aquamation made logical sense to me. So when my soul cat Oliver Apollo passed away 12/31/2021 I felt this the ideal method in which to honor him. Upon learning Compassionate Care had a local facility I immediately called. Alan was so gracious, walking me through the process with great knowledge and gentility. He was never detached nor was he impatient. In the past my only option was traditional cremation, which most recently I had a very negative experience, so much so prior to discovering Compassionate Care I was unlikely to patronize said local facility again. My Oliver Apollo was the most affectionate, interactive brilliant boy who I sent off into eternity in the most dignified manner. Our life journey begins in water and now can end in water. That is sacred to me.Don’t hesitate to explore Aquamation and know you and your beloved companion will be treated with utmost care during this heartbreaking time.

I recently lost my beloved 18-year-old cat Poopy, short for Poopy Paws, whom I affectionately named when I was just six and he was 7 weeks old. It was an extremely difficult and stressful time as my family had constant back and forth with our vet over his declining health. The team at Compassionate Care Pet Aquamation was incredibly respectful, professional, empathetic, patient, and kind. They were extremely helpful and adapted quickly to some unforeseen circumstances . They made a stressful and heartbreaking process as easy as it could get, and I truly appreciate everything they did for my family and for my beautiful cat.

So grateful to have found out about Compassionate Care. They provide excellent customer service and my beloved cat “Goat” was given respect and dignity after an untimely death. The aquamation (ash urn/box) was absolutely beautiful. Everyone I showed it to cried - just as I did.THIS is the crematory to use! ❤️

Compassionate Care has truly helped my family. I tried to contact many other services after hours. Not only did they not answer but they didn’t even return my calls! Compassionate Care was there for us. They helped us through an incredibly difficult time exacerbated by difficult interpersonal relationships. They are wonderful people providing a fantastic service. Thank you Compassionate Care for all you do!

My dog and best friend Chico passed away on May 24 and in the early morning hours while I was holding him and letting him know it was OK to go and walk over the rainbow bridge, I went online to find a place that could help me with his passing. I found Compassionate Care Aqua Crematorium in Oceanside, New York. I messaged them and within a few minutes I got a response at about 4:35 AM in the morning. Alan who is one of the owners called me and walked me through the way my pet and best friend would be cremated. He was empathetic, compassionate, explanatory and was very understanding of my pain during this time. I wanted to have a place for my boy to go once he passed later that morning and Alan made it so easy for me. I also wanted to have his ashes so that I could leave that Saturday morning on a trip that we had had planned, so that I could spread Chico's ashes at his favorite park. Alan made that happen both he and Jim were amazing and they helped me pick out the most beautiful wooden urn and they kept me informed every step of the way and accommodated me during such a really hard time. I felt such a sense of peace having my boy back. I keep his urn on my nightstand and kiss it every morning and every night. I want to thank compassionate care for the wonderful customer service, understanding, and for your patience with my numerous phone calls. I highly recommend Alan and Jim to help you through one of the hardest times in your life. They are reasonably priced for the service that they provide.

I cannot thank Compassionate Care enough. Our dog Chocolate got very sick and we knew he was in his final days. He was 18 years old, but that didn’t make it any easier. We knew we didn’t want a fire cremation because we couldn’t imagine him in such conditions. He was our son, best friend and favorite companion and he deserved to be treated with love and care as well as being returned to earth in an ethical way. The ethical process at compassionate care is matched with an amazing soul named Alan who was there for us before our Chocolate passed and immediately after to help us take him into the facility. The moment we arrived we knew we made the right decision. It was a peaceful goodbye to our loving dog. Thank you Alan for doing this work with such compassion. You helped us start our grieving in a healthy way.

Alan walked me through every step of the worst day of my life. He treated me with kindness and respect and showed me how the entire process worked, so I would know exactly what was going to happen to my little best friend. Getting back such a beautiful package with tokens of remembrance of my dog helped ease a little of the grief. Knowing that the process was as gentle to the environment as it was on him, was also comforting. I have let my vet’s office and my fellow pet parent friends know about compassionate care. It’s the kind of place you never want to need, but are glad it’s there when you do.

My Shonna passed on 6/21/22. Losing her has been total devastation. To compound my heartache, the crematory I was going to use couldn't guarantee that Shonna could be cremated that weekend which meant her body would have to be kept frozen until the following week. I was inconsolable so my husband made some calls and he connected with Alan. I never heard of Aquamation before but my husband told me Alan could help us right away so I called him. The genuine compassion Alan gave to me when I felt completely helpless is something I will always be grateful for. Alan put my mind at ease and told me he would take care of all the details with the Animal Hospital in picking up Shonna. Alan was so detailed in his explanation of the Aquamation process, I had absolutely no questions at all to ask him where at the beginning of our conversation I had a whole list!! I hung up in tears because I knew Shonna, even in death, would be taken care of with love and dignity! Alan also gave me his cell phone number so I could call him at any time if I needed to. Jim, who works alongside Alan, called me once Shonna was at their facility to let me know that all went smoothly and she was now safe and in their care. I made an appointment to see Shonna the day before the Aquamation was to take place. Alan greeted my husband and I right away and gave us a tour of the facility. It is huge and immaculate! I was extremely overwhelmed by the time and attention given to us. There was no watching the clock. Shonna was placed in a little bed, wrapped in the little pink towel she would always lay on. Alan told us we could spend as much time as we needed to be with her which meant the world to me. I left with immense peace. Compassionate Care is not just a business to Alan and Jim. They put their hearts into giving families some closure needed to get through the tremendous loss, they are truly wonderful people. If I could 5++++++ stars I would. I highly recommend Compassionate Care to everyone!!

Our little old lady name Wawa, a tiny chihuahua passed away on Christmas eve. A few weeks prior I met Alan at a reptile expo and “aquamation” is a brand new world to me, Alan took time at the show and explain what they do. When my mom told me she passed away I contacted Alan right away and he took her in the day after Christmas, which I know many people are still on vacation. Alan explained in more details on how the process goes and the durations and temperatures. I feel much much more comfortable knowing that my baby will go through a gentle process and more eco friendly instead of the high temperature and rough process. Bring Wawa there I know she’ll be treat like their own family. They will take care of her the way we did until she’s able to go home in another way. I got her clay paw print and when I gave it to my mom she can’t stop crying. I know how much it means to her to be able to keep her foot print. All my previous pets did not receive the same “care” they should, and they were charged much more than what I paid for Wawa. Financial and emotional both taken cared at the same time. I will definitely have see Alan again, hope not that soon. Thank you !

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. Jim, Alan and I’m sorry I did not get the woman’s name, are all wonderful people. Very understanding, soft spoken, kind individuals, who have a true love for animals and caring for them through this process. This isn’t just your normal cremation place, they are much better and caring with your loved ones. I saw a video of Aquamation being done and it is very peaceful and less harmful to your pet. Overall, from the customer service to the process of Aquamation, Compassion is the best of the best!

Words cannot express what I want to say about this company “Compassionate Care Pet Aquamation Inc” and the wonderful person that I worked with Alan. Very compassionate, caring, down to earth, sympathetic and more. I lost my beautiful friend Rocky 3/31 2023 and Alan was there with me from the night I lost him until the end. I went to the facility that Saturday morning 4/1/2023 and Alan walked me through and explained everything to me. My heart knew my best friend Rocky was going to be taken care of by a wonderful and kind person. Alan, make sure everything was prompt and on time. I ordered a stone plaque with my best friend's photo and a few words that express my best friend Rocky. When I picked it up, I was blown away. I felt like a piece of my heart was inscripted on that plaque. Alan I can’t thank you enough for everything. You and Jim are the BEST OF THE BEST.🙏🏽♥️🙏🏽♥️

The day I lost Dusty was the day I felt like I lost everything in the world and thought how would life go on without my furry best friend of 14 years. Alan made me feel the opposite from the first minute my sister and I got on the phone with him. He was so kind, so gentle, and came off as if he knew my little Dusty as well. It was so organic and light for a time like that. The whole process was seamless and again very gentle. When Jim came to pick up my baby he showed the same behavior as Alan which made me know that the company overall just has truly compassionate and pet loving people there. I felt safe sending off Dusty with him. They gave us such a beautiful urn with Dusty’s name on it, with some of his hair and a paw print (my favorite piece of it all.) and delivered our baby back to us within a week of his pickup. I can’t thank both Alan or Jim enough for how much they made what seemed to be one of the worst experiences of my life so gentle and seamless. HIGHLY recommend them! 🙏🏾💙

I was very fortunate that a friend recommended your service to me.Alan the owner was very comforting over the phone and made me feel calm. The same day pick up process was very helpful in easing the stress.Jim who was sent to pick up my cat was extremely considerate and professional at his job. He treated my cat with utmost care and respect. He's delicate handling of my situation allowed me to say goodbye and release my cat with much needed peace of mind. Two weeks later as promised I received my cats powered remains. I am truly grateful for their compassion and sincere service.

These people are the real deal...on my families worst day Alan was there to help easy the pain of our loved one passing with just the most simplest thing... Our beloved dog of three years passed away in the worst way and on the weekend of memorial day to boot Alan was the only crematory to even answer the phone when we couldn't bare to leave our baby to sit in a freezer at the emergency vet till the following Tuesday. When we finally got to his place of business Alan was there with warm and kind eyes to help us in the next phase of our loving boys life 💜 even as we were a wreck. Even after everything when we went to pick him up to bring him home Alan whom I beleive to be the owner of this business was there to make us feel even more at ease that this process was the best way to have him move on in his next phase of life and for his body to be forever treasured in our family. From my Family to yours we would love to thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

This is the most caring and compassionate place I have ever dealt with. They are very kind and caring to the pet owners feelings. I recommend this place to anyone who has lost there loving pet.

A few days ago I lost my best friend in this lifetime. My beautiful boy Mister. He was my cat and my sweet companion. He died in my arms after hours of diabetic seizure., he was the joy of my life.I didn’t know where to turn and by the grace of God I found Compassionate Care .Alan and especially Jim both were so gentle and kind.So thoughtful from the moment I called till the moment Jim left with my darling and took him away for aquamation. They remained in contact with me throughout the process. Although my heart is broken they took care of everything with loving kindness.I thank you with all my heart, I trusted you with my baby when I had no idea what to do. And you were a comfort and you still are. God bless

Just picked up my dogs ashes. Was a bit annoyed to see the prints that I paid for had their company name all over it. Comes off as tacky and cold. Hopefully in the future they decide to opt away from this.Update: the owner Allen called me quick after this review. I wasn’t able to answer because I’m currently in the midst of taking finals. However he seems to only care about money since he didn’t acknowledge the tackiness of it all and decided to double down by saying others have been grateful he puts his logo/name of their company everywhere. Then also proceeded to ask me to change my review to five stars or no review. The sticker near the paw and nose print could’ve easily went on the backside of the card. His resolution to this was to slap another sticker on with just my dogs name on it this time, however the sticker also clearly looks like it came from a cheap label printer. So I’ll respectfully decline. I rather buy something more thoughtful than that to put over it.What I didn’t mention in the first review as well is that the wood box given for my dog had spots of discoloration, as if there had been water or some type of liquid that had stained circles all over the wood. I understand wood will have variations on it and all wooden items won’t be the same but it seemed sloppy. Originally I didn’t care because i just also planned on getting him a better Urn since I didn’t really care for their options. But this should be noted as not everyone has the ability to do that, especially when the passing happens suddenly.I also shared this with my igp dog group members and they were more angry than me, however I understand this business is also someone’s livelihood which is why I left 3 stars originally. So I will also be buying him a new urn through a different company. Saddened though, as I did like the idea of “aquamation”

Thank you so much Allen & Jim for your great service and care. Not only we’re they great and relieved a lot of stress during a heartbreaking situation, I highly recommend Aquamation over cremation, it’s an environmentally conscious way to have your loved ones remains returned. My sweet cat passed away at home and I couldn’t be more thankful that they were able to come over the same day to pick him up, and within a few days I received his remains in a beautiful box via USPS. They were kind, thoughtful, and empathetic and in the unfortunate time that someone I know has a pet that passed, I would only ever recommend the kind of care I received with Compassionate Care. My religion doesn’t allow cremation so I had some hesitancy in regard to having my dear pets remains being processed that way when I know that is the standard expectation. hearing about a process that mimics natural decomposition is something that relieved my conscious. I’m so glad I found them, they even made sure I received my lovely cat back on New Year’s Eve which allowed me to hold a memorial that same day and helped my healing process a lot

We adopted Lexi, our German shepherd on September 25th, 2011. She died from hemangiosarcoma in our living room, surrounded by her family on September 25th, 2022. It was absolutely heartbreaking and the realization I would have to pull myself together enough to arrange to get her body picked up and then aquamated was difficult. But compassion care made it relatively easy in terms of arrangements. We had known we were going to use Compassion Care before her death, so we called soon after. Because it was midnight, we had to wait the night for her to be picked up, but Alan was kind on the phone and answered a call around 5am. Jim came earlier than was required of him, around 7am. They were both very kind and gentle during the whole thing. We also visited the facility when we picked up her remains. I can assure you it’s very clean and by no means frightening. We miss Lexi dearly. She was such a light in our house and a good gift from the Lord. Her death date being her adoption date was a beautiful and purposeful act in and of itself. Again, I greatly recommend CompassionCare to all pet owners. You will be treated well and the process is relatively easy.

My beloved Lily Beth (a guinea pig) passed away on July 11. I never heard about Pet Aquamation before and when i called compassionate care aquamation (cca.pet) they were very kind to do all the arrangements for me. Alan and Jim were those people who helped me through my grieve while making sure Lily Beth will be taken care. It's been a week and she is finally home with me again. I would highly recommend this company, not just for your pets funeral care but also for the environment as well. All the process are very safe and gentle than the cremation. Thank you so much Compassionate Care. I am forever grateful

I am so grateful to have had the privilege to obtain the cremation services of Compassionate Care for my pet, Tyson. The comfort felt of not having my pet burned was so soothing to my heart ♥. The staff was also so comforting and professional in their explanation of the aquamation process. The time they took to welcome us and make us understand such a humane process was priceless. The experience was very pleasant at such a sad moment.

We had to put my 15 year old yorkie to sleep and the place that came for euthanasia told us they we’re going to leave his body in the car and then put him in a chest freezer at the vets house for 5 days awaiting pick up. My mother and I panicked and I had looked up this company and called them. Alan was so calm and kind and told me to come and bring gizmo and take my time, that they would be there when I got there. We got to the Oceanside location and he took us on a tour and explained the entire process. This process is extremely fascinating and gave us so much peace knowing gizmo was going to be well cared for. We received an ink paw print, clay paw print, ashes and a bottle of fertilizer from his remains - extremely fascinating. We felt so confident knowing gizmo was tagged, and well cared for. They brought us so much peace and made the process so calming. I would recommend Alan and his team for any unfortunate experience in losing a pet. Thank you guys for turning a horrible experience into such a peaceful one. I recommend this company over and over and over.

I would forever recommend Compassionate Care Pet Aquamation Inc to anyone, my family, my friends. Allen & his staff are awesome. Saying goodbye to my cat was such gut wrenching experience. Alan and the team made the process so seamless. They offered so much support and answered all of my questions. They made themselves available when it was time. They made sure to check in and say kind words which meant so much. I recommend their services. Losing your animal companion is so hard but you can rest easy knowing they were in such good hands. Having an option for a more gentle and environmentally friendly disposition is truly helpful.

The service that was provided was stellar - from the moments during the most difficult time of choice to let go of my most precious puppy of 17.5 yrs. to scheduling to meet me at the facility to have my Leo go under the gentle process of aquamation. They allowed me tour the facility and showed me how clean the process is which made letting go of my love Leo will not only live on in memory but in a greener world as his remains will nourish the trees and garden that he so enjoyed. Thank You Alan and Jim for making this most devastating time more bearable and allowing Leo to be part of a greener world with the wonderful process of aquamation.

I took my beloved Johnny of 17 years here to this wonderful place after he crossed over the rainbow bridge & they made his transition into the afterlife exactly how i imagined. Peaceful and painless . I was welcomed with open arms and kind eyes the second I entered the room. I knew this was the right place. Not only that but they are a eco friendly & sustainable facility and as an environmentalist I couldn’t be more pleased and impressed with the Aquamation process. It was some thing I was relatively unfamiliar with, but was eased with knowledge and thorough explanation when asked. Thank you so much to Alan and Jim for your empathy and condolences during this difficult time. You both have made the grief process for my family and so effortless and serene. I am eternally grateful

I was fortunate to have found Compassionate Care Pet Aquamation on the internet when searching for pet cremations. It was an enormous relief to read that aquamation was a less cruel process than fire. I called and spoke to Alan who was very understanding and compassionate of what I was going through as a pet owner. I can truly say that I made the right decision to have chosen Alan for the aquamation of my dog Shiloh. It was comforting to know that Shiloh was in good hands.

We recently lost our furbaby of 18 years suddenly. She waS a rescue cat and her name was kimmy. We didn't know what to do, I Google cremation places and the first thing that popped up was compassionate care aquamarine. I contacted them and Alan immediately put me at ease and said he would help me. I was in tears as was my daughter and he explained the process to me and the payment process was so easy and affordable . The next day Jim came and picked kimmy up and he wS so gentle with her and compassionate towards my crying 6 year old who did not want to let kimmy go. Alan and Jim were in constant contact with us and we quickly received kimmy back home in a beautiful urn with her name on it which they provide at no cost . I think that's a plus..I would definitely use them again and would recommend them to everyone because if you can have your furbaby cremated thru a gentler process and do your part in saving our mother earth I say that's a win win. So don't hesitate and look no further if you need their services Alan and Jim are there for you. They are the best.

I would love to take this time to thank the staff at Compassionate Care. Our beloved ASAP passed away at just 4 months old. He was being sent to that horrible place out East until I came across Allen and Jim. When I called I spoke with Jim and the compassion he had was unremarkable. He assured my family and I that they would take good care of our little boy. When bringing him in we felt a sense of relief and comfortability. Allen took his time with explaining the process and showing us around the facility and just made us feel 100% better about the choice we just made. My family and I really appreciate the time and care they took to put our minds at ease about how.our little boy was going to be treated. If I could give more stars I definitely would!! I highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a peaceful goodbye for their beloved pets. Thank you again Compassionate Care I will be using your services in the future.

We recently lost one of our boys, our little Mikey who was 14 years old. He was our cute & mischievous little boy who never grew up, always loving and playful . The loss of Mikey was heartbreaking for my entire family and like family we wanted to treat him in the most respectful way. Now, never having a pet of my own I didn’t know exactly what the aquamation process was until a friend mentioned it. I was extremely grateful to have found this process and such a caring and professional business. The owner himself spoke to me about the aquamation process in a very gentle & understanding way. After he answered all of my questions I felt confident that I was making the right decision to choose this business to handle my Mikey. Everything was handled with the upmost level of care so needless to say I was extremely thankful for that. I would highly recommend this service to anyone looking for professional and caring business to handle their loving pet. Thank you, Alan & staff, for all your help and kind words. It really meant a great deal to me and my family.

Alan and his team treated my pet and myself with compassion, respect, dignity and patience. They made the death of my much beloved pet a little less horrible. The fact that their process is respectful of the environment as well is even better. Thank you.

I lost my baby Leo after 14 years. When the time came to put him to sleep I wasn't sure what to do who to call. I was brought here by chance but I'm so happy I was! Not only are the workers amazing and sweet, but the aquamation process is such an interesting and humane way to put a loved pet to rest. I was able to learn about how eco friendly the process is plus I brought me peace knowing how my pet was treated. I do not only recommend this place but I urge you to call them instead of your vet, I urge you to educate yourself and others about this process. I left today with a beautiful wooden box with Leo's name on it and two paws on the lid. I also can go back and get other trinkets for his ashes if Id like. This is truly the best way to put your pet to rest.

My girlfriend and I used Compassionate Care's aquamation service when our ferret Flapjack passed away. Their name is quite accurate. Allen and Jim were both very compassionate, and it felt sincere. Allen gave us a tour of the immaculately clean facility, and thoroughly explained the procedure to us. We opted for the basic package, which included the ashes in a beautiful carved wooden box with a customized plaque on it. Flapjack loved to attack Crocs, on or off your feet. so we included his nickname "The Croc Hunter" under his name with the date of his passing.Compassionate Care also had quite a few other options as to what they offer to memorialize your pet. I would highly recommend them, and plan to use them in the (hopefully distant) future.

Words cannot describe how sad I am. The only thing I feel comfort is that I choose Compassionate Care. Alan and Jim brought me an amazing experience. They show understanding, care, and respect to the passing live. With their help, I believe this is the best way to send my dear friend back to natural.

From my initial call inquiring about their service until I received my dog’s remains, I cannot imagine a more kind and empathetic experience. Alan and Jim were wonderful to deal with and the process of aquamation is not only a viable but a preferable alternative to cremation. Highly recommended.

After unexpectedly losing my bearded dragon.. spikey. My first reaction wasn’t to grieve.. it was to do right by the most important and special being in my life. He had been with me through the worst and I like to think he still is. So I knew I had to do right by him and give him the send off he deserves. I found Alan and compassionate care while researching the best options to take care of spike. I was initially drawn to compassionate care because of the the way it honors the environment and I like to think spike would’ve liked that. I was sold when I spoke to Alan for the first time and he truly cared about not only my pet.. but about me. I was a wreck and barely made it to the place. I was not anywhere near a functioning human and when I got there.. having someone so helpful and kind was the only way I could ever hand my spike off. The process of going to compassionate care is why I can begin to truly grieve knowing I did right by spike in the end. I could not recommend this company more. Losing a loved one is the worst pain imaginable so knowing I can trust alan makes the process so much less painful than the companies that don’t care about your animal or the trauma you are experiencing. I hope you’ll consider coming to Alan if you ever need someone to give your pet the respect they deserve as you send them off. I also got a necklace and a bracelet with spikes ashes. They are both beautiful and the pricing for everything is very fair. He even showed me the facility and explained everything about the process to me. He truly cares about what he is doing and that made all the difference. His urn is also beautiful. I don’t know how I would’ve been able to go through with this process if it weren’t for compassionate care.

My 14 year old Yorkshire Terrier Maximus passed away on Memorial Day 2021. Not only did we have to deal with the loss of our beloved pet, we also had to find a crematorium that would accept him on a national holiday. After calling a few places that weren’t open or willing to help (one guy actually told me to put Max in a box and leave him in my garage and he would pick him up the next day) I came across Compassionate Care, and my family is so grateful we did! Alan and his team were kind, compassionate and willing to help in any way possible. Alan had someone meet us at the facility to receive Max, give us a tour and walk us through the Aquamation process. This really was the best possible experience given the difficult time. Thank you Alan and team, you are very much appreciated!!

When my Missy of 16 years passed on Christmas Day. Of course I went to google and searched Pet Cremation. Compassionate Care was the first one I saw. I read all about it read the reviews and I said this is what I want for my missy and all my remaining animals even myself when the time comes(HaHa)I called compassionate care right away on Christmas Day. They explained everything to me what to do with her and I will see them the following morning. They are so compassionate they gave themselves the right name for there company. Thank you so much. First time I got a paw print 🐾 and some of missy’s fur. I’ve had many animals in my life this was the first and very touching.

When a tragedy that involves happens /happened I can vouch for compassionate care to be there for you I say that to say I lost my pet & called Alan at 4am not thinking I was a complete mess over the phone and he was very consoling also explained in detail of how the Aquamation process works .

On 4-3-2022 my beautiful 10 yr old Gia gained her Angel wings. Emotional overload is an understatement. I will miss her forever ,but she will always be with me in my heart <3.I was watching News 12 and a commercial came on for Compassionate Care Aquamation. I was very curious as I never heard of this before. I immediately went on the internet and read further about this process. That was it, I knew this is what I wanted for my Gia.**First, Alan and Jim from Compassionate Care are amazing, caring, humble and the best. The entire process is so peaceful for her, us and the environment and as far as cost, so compatible with fire cremation.Just the sound of fire cremation , OMG how horrible. Water cremation, so peaceful. My daughter and I went to pick up Gia's ashes yesterday. They provided at no extra cost a beautiful wood Urn with her name plate on it. Alan showed us the facility and fully explained the entire process from the time Gia arrived. The facility is immaculate. Again, so peaceful. This process mimics how nature would handle this but a little faster of course. We were able to bring home more of her than through fire. Afterall, I want all of her with me. Her ashes are the color of sand, not gray or dark. And,, for the environment it is so much better. So, if you are faced like my family was losing your beloved family member don't hesitate, call Compassionate Care in Oceanside, NY and offer your family member the best final care.I am hoping more Vets offer this as an option. I will never go back to Fire Cremation.God Bless all in their time.Thank you Alan and Jim.Robin Berry and Family

Had a great experience with Compassionate Care, my dog Coco passed away and after many attempts calling the city and other agencies and getting no answer I came across their number. Alan answered right away, and spent 45 mins on the phone with me explaining everything they do, within a few hours, Jim was at my door to pick up Coco and within a week Coco was ready to come home in a very nice cedar urn with a scattering urn so I could take him to his favorite walking spots. I suggest this service to anyone who loves their pet, it truly is Compassionate Care

My family and I can’t recommend Compassionate Care Pet Aquamation enough. So very thankful to Jim and Alan who both made this experience much easier to handle They are caring, kind, considerate, compassionate and truly care. Cruzer passed away peacefully in our home on a Sunday afternoon. I called and Jim opened his place up and met us to accept Cruzer. Jim showed us what would happen and explained everything from beginning to end. They made me feel reassured that Cruzer was in caring hands. I picked up Cruzer remains in a beautiful cedar box with his foot print and piece of his hair a few days later. They are truly amazing and very understanding in this grieving process. Thank you again Alan and Jim.

Alan really gave us peace of mind during an incredibly sad time. When we saw a segment on the local news about his facility several months ago, we decided aquamation was the perfect way to honor our Cookiepuss. Alan was responsive and compassionate, and rightfully proud of his business. Cookiepuss’s remains were presented to us in a lovely carved box, along with her paw print and a tuft of her fur. Thank you, Alan, for making this process a bit more bearable.

I must thank Mr. Hillsberg and his staff for the respect, concern, and understanding shown to me when I lost my precious cat Cali(fornia Girl). It’s taken me a while to write this review as I did not want to relive the day we lost our beautiful baby boy, Ben. Anyone who has lost a beloved pet knows how heartbreaking the pain truly is. A pet lover himself, Alan understands this. From the beginning through the end, he showed us nothing but kindness, support, and compassion. His beautiful words will forever be with me and provide me with more comfort than I think either of us ever imagined it would.Alan always made himself available via phone or texts to answer any questions or concerns we had or just to simply listen to us share memories of Ben. He even made himself available twice on his days off to meet me in person at his office. That in and of itself shows the remarkable person he is.For us, Alan was a God-sent. Unbeknownst to him, Ben was the third and most devastating tragedy our family experienced last year. Alan’s kindness, support, and compassion helped guide us through this emotionally charged time in our lives. For that, we are truly grateful.

Having never had the experience of saying goodbye to a pet, I felt lost and unsure of how to approach what comes after goodbye. It was important to give my sweet 17-year-old pup the absolute best and in searching for options on what to do after, I found Compassionate Care Pet Aquamation. I reached out to Alan hours prior and he exhibited such warmth and compassion for me and my family during this difficult time. Alan and his team even went out of their way to make sure my pup was picked up after hours so that I had the small comfort of knowing she was in good hands on that difficult day. Compassionate Care kept me well informed and were extremely accommodating with arranging to pick up her ashes. Alan was kind, thoughtful and informative and even gave me a brief tour of his facility in Oceanside. Alan, believes in what he is doing and it shows. I would and WILL recommend Alan and Compassionate Care to anyone and everyone I know.

Compassionate Care was recommended through Paws at Peace and I couldn't have made a better choice myself. Thank you to Jim for letting me cry and share my story when picking up my sweet boy Bruno. It takes special people to deal with pet parents who have lost their most precious gifts. Thank you!

Jim and Alan helped me on one of the worst days of my life. They were comforting, effective and very professional. May you never ever need them. But if the unthinkable happens, they should be your first call.

Had to put my best friend Hope to sleep because she had cancer. From the moment I called lap of love to the moment I walked into compassionate care they made me feel at ease. Alan at compassionate care was great. I got out of work at 5 pm and it took me some time to get there. He waited for me and walked me through the process for Hope. I knew my girl was in good hands and I am forever grateful for the compassion that everyone showed me during this difficult time. Thank you Alan.

Having to deal with losing a pet is hard enough. Then try to find a place you can trust to handle your family member. Luckily I have found Compassionate Care. Alan is a gentleman from the first call. He helps you threw the process and listens to your concerns. I have had lost other pets unfortunately and used other companies. I did realize they ship your pet to another state I only found that out after they had my dog. Alan tells you and shows you how your loved one will be handled and it never leaves the place. Thank you Alan for helpings with our little Lola

She passed away suddenly from an apparent heart issue and I was emotionally devastated by her loss.Much of the pain was alleviated bythe comfort of knowing my pet's passing would also benefit the earth...I felt as though she were truly returning to the essence of what she was.Mr. Hillsberg and his associate took the time to explain the entire process to me and also showed methe exact steps to complete her final rest.I will (and have) recommended Compassionate Care to others and also to my veterinary office .....Thank you so much for all you did for my beautiful Cali and for me!Peace, Angela,Lucky(my other cat)Casey( my dog)and of course Cali(in spirit)

We cannot thank Alan and Jim enough for all their wonderful support and great compassion during this very difficult time. Our hearts are broken, and it was so very painful to let go of our dear sweet Bella after nearly sixteen beautiful years, and we were so comforted by their kind words and great service, and we highly recommend Compassionate Care.

I had a wonderful experience with Compassionate Care and would highly recommend. Alan kindly took the time to show me the facility and explain the process, which felt like an important step in my grieving. I learned so much about the lower environmental impacts of aquamation and left knowing that my pet was treated with care and dignity. A truly special experience.

My 4 legged son passed away on February 17th 2022 I was so hurt, confused and didn't know what to I do. I called 411 and was told to put my dog in the trash for pick up making me furious. I have raised Mason since a baby and that was very hurtful. I reached out to the ASPCA and was told that they will cremate my boy but I will not be able to receive his remains, once again making me furious I didn't know what to do and then I came across this company and I couldn't be more happy and satisfied with their service and compassion for me and my family, words can't even help explain how happy I am to find th we these guys. Today I picked up my boy remains and it rain so hard like it did when he died. I know that was a sign that Mason was happy that I brought him here and that he was coming home.

My experience with Compassionate Care was truly amazing, Alan was very understanding, caring and COMPASSIONATE from very beginning. He met me on a Sunday as my husky suddenly passed away, he didn't rush me to select his company however just talking to him over the phone I knew I didn't need to look elsewhere. He took his time when I met him at the facility and showed me around the site. Explained every single step in detail and I could see there process is very unique and they took pride in making sure my pet was given a grand sendoff. Thank you Alan for making a difficult process seem easier and hopefully we never have to meet again at least for a very long term.

We lost our English Bulldog, Winston, on August 24th, and had his ashes back in a week! We were given a full tour, and were told what fantastic parents we were because he lived almost 14 years! We were devastated to lose our boy, and the treatment given to him (and us) was truly fantastic... Thank you so much for making an awful time a little bit easier for us!

A little over two weeks ago (11/15/2022), we lost our beloved dog, an adopted Shih Tzu mix named Violet. We started looking into end-of-life care and funerary services during a health scare almost a year earlier. We found Compassionate Care Pet Aquamation in researching ecological methods of cremation. We contacted Compassionate Care at that time. Alan was so empathetic and understanding he immediately engendered trust. Ultimately Violet’s health improved, and – as Alan pointed out in our initial conversations – we luckily got another year with her in our lives. When her time came, we didn’t give it a second thought; we immediately contacted Compassionate Care. Jim and Alan worked with us. Initially, we thought it would be an emergency at the vet, and Jim and Alan put our worries at ease and were willing to accommodate our request immediately. When our plans changed, and we opted for at-home euthanasia, Jim and Alan had no problems adapting to our plans and coming to our home. They truly live up to their name, and when the day came, we felt their compassion and knew Violet was in the best hands.

I picked Compassionate Care because of all of the positive reviews they had and I am glad that I did. Alan and Jim were both very nice, caring and personable people. They explained Pet Aquamation to me and the process. My parakeet Aero unexpectedly passed away. The office is very nice and clean. I got a little tour of the back space where the Pet Aquamation happens. I opted for the wood urn which was great quality. I was able to pick up Aero a week after I dropped him off. Hopefully I don’t lose a pet anytime soon, but I would definitely go back to Compassionate Care.Alan communicates well and shows a lot of compassion, empathy and kindness. I picked up Azuki from my home. He kept me updated on when Azuki would be ready. I would definitely continue to use their services.

Alan and Jim were so great, responsive and helpful when my dog Sarjie passed. I’d learned about aquamation a while back and I think that it’s a great alternative to cremation. It’s more environmentally friendly and less traumatic of a thought about what happens to your fur baby after they pass. The place had a peaceful vibe and Jim was generous enough to walk us to through the process patiently and allowed us ample time to say our goodbyes. I feel like for those of us who gave the best to our fur babies in life, aquamation is to give them the best in death. In addition, it is actually less expensive or cost equivalent to cremation. I hope they continue to expand to other areas so that more people can have access to this service.

My wife and I recently lost our beloved pet bearded dragon "DUKE". He was extremely special to us and the loss hit home hard. From the moment we spoke with the proprietor Allen, he was compassionate and understanding. This was all new for us and he walked us through the entire process and gave us a walking tour of the facility. His professionalism and genuine kindness was remarkable. The process was extremely quick and we received Duke two days later. The fact that Aqua cremation doesn't leave a carbon foot print and is environmentally friendly was also incredible. We highly recommend Allen and his facility to anyone that has to deal with loss of their beloved animal companions.

I recently lost my beloved cat Monkey. I'm so grateful that I found Compassionate Care in such a difficult and stressful time. I was so anxious about what was going to happen to her after she was no longer in my care, and I wanted to make sure that I found a place that would treat her with care and respect.Based on the good reviews, I reached out and Alan got back to me very promptly. I was crying the whole time on the phone but he was so understanding and empathetic. He explained the acquamation process and benefits over traditional cremation. The fact that it's such a gentle process and so much more environmentally friendly really appealed to me. We made a plan for Monkey to be picked up the next day and Jim came exactly as scheduled. He was also very sympathetic and caring and even called me when he arrived back at the facility so that I knew that they had arrived back safely.A few days later Monkey was ready to be picked up. I wanted to pick her up myself and Alan was kind enough to also give me a tour of the facility. It was oddly comforting to be able to see where Monkey was for those few days before I took her back home.Thank you Alan and Jim - your compassionate and professional service is truly appreciated!

I am very happy that we brought our Donny to Compassionate Care. My wife and I were having a rough day and Alan and Jim helped us a lot. Aquamation was new to us and Alan and Jim showed us the machines and explained the process to us. There was no high pressure sale pitch unlike our past dealings with our vets. We did call back a day later and got the plant fertilizer which is the liquid in which Donny was aquamated in. We thought it would be special to have Donny giving life to our indoor plants. In regards to the total cost, the aquamation was much cheaper then what our vets charged us for a cremation in the past. We felt 100% comfortable with them.

Alan was very kind. The establishment was very very clean and the prices was very quick. The urns offered are beautiful even the complementary ones ( which is one I got) I have already told many friends about this service. It looks prettier and is better for the environment so I feel like I made the right choice. Thanks so much, I will continue to tell my friends about this service!

My pet cat Stripes passed away over the New Year weekend going into 2023. This was extremely distressing for me since it happened not only over the weekend but to top things off on a holiday when most vets are out of reach for such matters. I searched the internet and found Compassionate Care Pet Aquamation. Their website struck a chord with me so I picked up the phone to reach out to them not knowing what to expect. Alan answered the phone, it was around 9 pm. He was extremely kind and took me through the process of getting everything set up for Stripes to be picked up the next morning. Alan was very patient, understanding since I had a lot of questions. Next morning Jim came from Oceanside, NY over the bridge into Staten Island to pick up Stripes. I was touched by his kindness towards me and the respect he showed towards my cat. We spoke a little, he put my mind at ease and let me know once he arrived back at their offices. Their customer service is impeccable. Thank you gents! I will call them on my next pet's journey out.

I cannot think of any better care that my daughter and I could have received. I was not familiar with the aquamation process. The owner Alan carefully explained and we felt good about using this process for our cat. Jim picked up our cat Flowerpot from our home after she was euthanized. He was thoughtful and empathetic of the sadness we were experiencing and patient while we said good bye. Alan was flexible to arranging a time for us to pick up. At that time I was able to tour the facility and impressed to see how clean it was. We had a good experience for this very hard time in our lives. I highly recommend.

Compassionate Team, Jim and Allen were amazing! Our family is so grateful that they able to help us through this difficult time in our lives. It is difficult to lose Serenity, she was a gentle kind hearted dog who protected her family. Jim and Allen really understand what we were going through. They were able to return her ashes to us in a very beautiful wooden boxes with her name of it. They made this difficult time less stressful. Thank you for everything you do.

My family and I have the sufficient words to express how greatful we were to meet Alan. Him and Jim walked us through the process from having to accept that we had to make the decision, to the last moments my pup was going to take his last breath to taking the time with us and explaining everything. My husband said he was happy that Alan took his time with us but also that he treated our pup with love, respect and humanity. That comes without price. the circumstances were heartbreaking but the empathy & care he took to just be present with us and ease our grief just a little bit was everything to us. I thank you from the bottom of my heart

Alan helped guide me through the process for my pup's care of remains. I got to view the aquamation facility in person and learn about the actual process. This is more gentle than fire cremation and even though I hate that I had to make this decision, it was the right one for my pup. It was very easy to schedule (timewise), and Alan provided support along the way, answering my many calls and questions. I received a nice carved wood box, and the nutrient rich liquid remains as well. Thank you to the other reviewers here who helped me find and choose Compassionate Care pet Aquamation.

Would like to personally thank Allen and all involved who helped us! When our Dog Rocco died, we called and Allen was so kind and informative of the aqua cremation service. They provided a beautiful wooden box when they returned him. We paid for the additional liquid fertilizer that they were able to create after his cremation. It makes us happy to know that we can nourish our garden with his fertilizer. It was also a very affordable option and eco friendly. We love you Rocco forever.

Alan and Jim were so incredibly compassionate to our family. We lost our beloved dog in a very sudden and tragic way and we couldn’t be more thankful for them to help us through that most heartbreaking time in our lives. They made everything possible for us to get our pet safely to their facility which looked very clean and organized as well as arrange for us to say our goodbyes since we never got a chance before he passed. In addition to an incredible moral support Alan was very clear explaining how the process works and what options we had in selection of urns and memorial trees. We are truly grateful he was there for us during this incredibly difficult time.

Alan and his team at Compassionate Care made the logistics of a difficult time absolutely seamless. They were readily available for questions, and were supportive and understanding during every conversation. Someone was able to pick up my pup Abe after his passing and take him directly to the aquamation facility. Alan met me at the facility about a week later to pick up my pup's remains and was incredibly caring and kind during the process. I cannot recommend Compassionate Care and Alan enough to other pet owners going through the loss of their pet.

Saying " bye " to Bella was definitely not easy and I could've never left her not knowing if she was in good hands. Alan went above n beyond explaining everything to me n my sister and making us comfortable as possible during this time. Any questions I had were answered and Bella was ready for me to pick her up and bring her home in less than a week. I couldnt be more thankful to the staff at Compassionate care during this difficult time.

My family is so happy we chose Compassionate Care Pet Aquamation. We didn't even know this choice existed. Jim and Alan were fantastic and took the time to help us and listened to our needs, as well as, reassured us about the process. This process helps the environment and is natural process, which made us feel better about what we needed to do. I can't say enough good things about this business and hope others will spread the word. Thank you for all your help and support during this time!

Alan and Jim were amazing! I can not recommend this place highly enough. Alan helped me through the whole process by staying in communication via text and phone. He always answered my questions/ messages right away. Jim came to pick up my beautiful girl at my animal hospital where I work. He was so nice and compassionate. I felt safe handing my baby over to him. He even called me when she was safely at their facility. I even asked for special requests and Alan did his best to accommodate. They got her remains back to me so quickly too. If I could give 10 stars, I would. Thank you Alan and Jim for taking great care of my baby girl, Tila!

My pet passed away and although it was expected it was still so traumatizing and I didn’t know what to do after that. I initially was going to another place to cremate her (before I found out about Alan) but they were so unprofessional and showed no compassion at all. They came at an earlier time than scheduled (4 hrs earlier - before my family had a chance to say goodbye to her). And when I called Alan I immediately knew Bella would be in good hands. He was so tentative and compassionate about making sure Bella would be handled with love and care. This was July 2021 and I believe he was fairly new so he even gave me a tour of the facility and explained the process to me and it did not feel rushed at all. I can tell he really cared about pets and wanted to make sure it was a peaceful and caring process. I even received a handwritten letter when Bella came home and he addressed it from Bella which made me cry. Thank you Alan for everything.

The staff are great and caring and they really care about the people who lost their pets. I had a flight to catch and they really go beyond to help me to get my baby back in time before my flight! That gives me a lot comfort in the mists of all my pain of losing my loved pet. Good company I could trust them and my pet was in good hands. 💜

Going through the loss of a pet can be just as traumatic as losing a family member. When my best buddy was seeming to nearing his end, I contacted CCPA for information. Alan, the owner was very understanding and helpful. When my buddy's last day arrived, it was extremely stressful yet Alan was readily available via text and then a call to tell me what to expect and do. When he passed, I spoke with Jim who manages the facility. Jim came to my house very quickly and took my beloved dog to their facility. I just went and picked his cremains up and although it is still very raw, I feel better seeing the cleanliness of their facility and the way they conduct their profession in a caring and professional manner. I highly recommend Compassionate Care to any pet owner looking for the final kindness they can do for their pet.

When I called this place I was so devastated by the loss of my no human child that just to make the phone call was something I didn't want to believe was happening, Alan answered the phone and was above and beyond with kindness and compassion, I feel safe and even open more about what had happened and how guilty I felt and the his way and supportive and comforting words made me open more, because talk about my angel was sacred to me. He gained my trust and spoke to me as a friend and my feelings and intuition said he cares about animals and he has a blessed gift and maybe thats why God lead him to be at that place. Thank you, Alan! God bless your life and everyone that goes to you may feel the safety, compassion, and comfort I felt! Highly recommend!

The loss of a beloved pet is emotionally difficult. Alan and his team guide you while giving you the time and space you may need. They even took time in assisting in selecting a matching urn for a dog that passed 15 years ago. I am very pleased with their service and the aquamation process.

Out of all the places to go at this difficult moment in my life, this place was amazing. Had the worst weekend dealing with my dying baby and trying to organize how to handle his remains. Alan was the light during a dark time. Welcoming and very communicative. I knew I had made the right choice and would recommend everyone to use this service if needed.

For anyone grieving the loss of their beloved pet, you'll know the emotions running through you can be crippling, and leave you at the brink of exhaustion. I had previously explored Alkaline Hydrolysis as an ecofriendly alternative to Cremation for my personal end of life treatment, but didn't know it was available to pets locally. The idea of my beloved dog taken away by the neighborhood vet to be simply "dealt with" was unacceptable to me. Alan was one of the most professional people I could have ever hoped to interact with. As a law enforcement agent, I tend to meet people undergoing some of the worst moments in their life; so I cannot fathom the strain this business can take on a person's mental and physical health, when this is encountered on a daily basis. Alan, you have my utmost appreciation, respect, and recommendation. I hope you receive the same from all future clients.

Our beloved hamster Pearl passed away about a week ago and Alan made the process of memorializing her as easy and pain free as possible. He was so kind through the whole process and understood how hard loosing a pet is, no matter how small. We loved Pearl so much and she was a part of our family, I am so grateful to have found this eco-friendly process. I highly recommend coming here for your fur babies when it is time. Thank you so much Alan. I am so grateful to have Pearl memorialized in such a beautiful way.

This company truly lives up to it’s name! From the moment I called and spoke to Alan, (one of the owners) I knew I had chosen the most compassionate, respectful and humane way to honor our deceased cat, Pierre’s life while preserving the environment, too! Alan’s understanding and caring manner helped us through a very emotional and difficult situation. His responsiveness and attention to our needs was incredible. He was at my doorstep within 30 minutes from the time I called him. His kindness and genuine sincerity was so calming and reassuring in our time of grief! No one ever wants to say goodbye to a beloved pet, but when it happened to us, we were relieved to find comfort and peace with Compassionate Care. With Gratitude 🙏 Jamie & Bruce

I can't thank Alan enough for his compassionate, professional, and incredible support during a very difficult moment in my life.My cat Weezy died unexpectedly one morning on NYE, and Alan was with us every step of the way through this process. He answered promptly when I called at 7am (and also helped me call various euthanasia doctors on this holiday morning). When our call-time changed, Alan flexed his schedule and personally came to our home to pick-up Weezy. He kept us informed every step of the way and brought so much comfort and sincerity during this time.I can't thank Compassionate Care enough, and highly recommend Alan and Jim for anyone having to go through this unfortunate process.

I cant put into words the type of experience that my family and I experienced with Compassionate Care. They are indeed compassionate, sensitive, precise, and completely amazing. My daughter’s first pet hamster “Chubby Smalls” expired and it was so important to us to have a process where we could have kept his remains close to our house. There is no question that Alan and team did that with THE BEST home-going process for our pet. I wish I had this type of caliber of expertise when my father passed away. The tour of the facility and breakdown of the process for the dispose of our pet hamster made us completely confident that we had our loved one in the right hands. I am a complete Promoter of this company and will recommend any and everyone to see them. Amazing Experience and Outstanding Customer Service

We came upon Compassionate Care Aquamation accidentally and are so happy we did. We couldn’t have been more satisfied with the way Alan handled our grief. He was kind and caring and his facility is immaculate and non threatening. Everything was clearly explained to us and in less than a week we brought Thurman home in a lovely wooden box which we will always cherish. It’s not something you give much thought to when you’re loving your pet- but when their lives come to an end it’s good to know there are choices and we are extremely glad Compassionate Care was our choice.

I had plans to get my bird, Coda, aquamated here. Jim and Alan walked me through the process and gave me a tour of the facility so I could feel comfortable about the entire process. Today was supposed to be the day I brought Coda over and unfortunately, he was dug out of his burial hole and taken by a wild animal. It was as if I lost him again and I’m absolutely devastated. However, when I called them to cancel the appointment, they were both super kind and understanding. Jim even called me back and personally spoke to me for 10 minutes and that really helped me calm down. That being said, I still think they deserve this five star review because even though I’ll never see my boy again, it was nice to know someone still cared about what I was going through. You can tell that these two really care about their job and their customers.Thank you Jim & Alan for being there for me. I am forever grateful and wish your company the best. 💖- Taylor

I came to know of Compassionate Care by 'Happenstance' one afternoon while at work....and I am truly Thankful for it. My husband and I were able to take a tour of the facility to gain understanding of the Aquamation process and from that we knew that when the time came we would definitely use Aquamation instead of Cremation. 2 weeks ago the time came and Alan & Jim were amazing from beginning to end. From taking in our pet, to providing updates of the process and even going above and beyond in bring our pet to me afterwards. These 2 gentlemen are not only Compassionate but they're respectful, transparent, forthcoming and dedicated. Thank you so very, very much

I have to say, one of the hardest decisions I ever had to make was to put my dog Shane to sleep! I am still crying and it’s only been a week! I called Compassionate Care by mistake looking for a facility to euthanize Shane. I spoke to the owner, Alan and he told me about Aquamation (which I had never heard of) and I was convinced because FIRE just seemed so harsh to do to Shane! Besides that, the thought of not getting 100% of his remains through Cremation was disheartening, so I went with the Aquamation. The name “Compassionate Care” fits them because they made me feel better about Shane with their concerns and compassion! The whole process is amazing, they let you see the facility, explain the process and make you feel so much better about your pet! I am telling all my friends that have pets, that when that time comes, this is the BEST place to make you feel much better about having your pet with you forever!

It's always the most heart-breaking of moments when it's time to say goodbye to our beloved pets. We knew it was time for our 20-year-old Juneau. When looking for local cremation services, Compassionate Care Pet Aquamation came up on the results. I had never heard of aquamation, but after reading about it, and learning it was eco-friendly, I thought this was the way to go. We were able to say goodbye to Juneau in our home and they came shortly after she had crossed the Rainbow Bridge to pick her up. They were extremely friendly and explained the process and Juneau's "ashes" were ready within days. This is a great business that seems to really care about their customers and the very delicate and heart-wrenching time they are going through. I hope your pet lives a very long and fulfilling life - but when - inevitably - it is time to say goodbye, I would give them my highest recommendation.

The loss of my feline friend, Thor, made for a sad and stressful night. I was grateful he passed quietly in his sleep but now what? In the morning I called my vet about cremation.... she would send him to a crematorium in Connecticut. Upon looking into it myself, I found Compassionate Care Pet Aquamation. Compassionate INDEED! Alan is a warm and caring man who respects our pets and our loss.... no matter how big or small. His facility is impeccable and the process is purely genius. So clean, so pure, so natural. As a doctor who practiced in NYC for 35 years, so impressed by it all, I am joining his team of caring people who transport pets from all over the 5 boroughs and long island to this earth and pet friendly place, to be prepared for us to have and hold forever. The cost was the same, but the experience here was priceless. The more you know, the more certain you will be that this is the only way we want our beloved pets to go!

Compassionate Care offers environmentally friendly aqua hydrolysis to process a pet's remains. What is returned are the bone remnants in an ash like form. There are many beautiful urn options, including compostable urns, which are of solid quality. There is the wonderful option to also received a mineral rich liquid in a compostable bottle, which can be used as fertilizer. When we visited Compassionate Care in Oceanside, NY we discovered a food grade quality facility in terms of cleanliness. The bedding we brought the pet in was recycled to a local animal rescue. Alan and his team are knowledgeable, compassionate and easy to work with. We will not think twice about choosing Compassionate Care again in the future.

There are simply not enough words for the level of praise Alan, Jim and the entire Compassionate Care team deserve.I got in touch with Alan prior to my 17 year old cat Houdini's death and he made the process incredibly easy. He is clearly passionate about his craft and the most kind and wonderful human to speak to in a difficult time. From the moment I made Houdini's arrangements to the moment I got him back in a beautiful cedar box, I knew he had been in caring hands. From the bottom of my heart, thank you thank you thank you!

When my dog passed away, I was sent in the direction of Compassionate Care Pet Aquamation. They were kind, patient and understanding. They listened as I cried. They sent someone to pick my furbaby up within an hour. He was returned home to me in less than a week. I heard about their process and like that it is health conscious on several levels.

Alan was so helpful and very prompt with his responses Jim was so wonderful upon pickup of my baby ferret "Bear" that I lost very unexpectedly. He even brought me to the store to take money from the ATM. My husband had my vehicle and I needed to pay them for their services so he brought me to the store. I think what they are doing is very humane. If feel completely at ease to have chosen this company for the help we needed. And not that money should matter in a case like this but their pricing is so beyond fair. :)

Our Chester passed away suddenly today and despite my grief, I decided to write this review right away. I didn't know what to do and I was so grateful after a few phone calls to have reached Alan. With compassion he listened to what happened and then described his services. I expressed that I really was hoping to have Chester picked up before my younger children came home. Alan compellingly understood, he took all of my information and came as quickly as possible in under an hour during rush hour. His care and understanding helped me more than words can say. Such a kind human. He called to let me know that Chester had arrived at their facility safely. Chester left our home in loving and caring hands and we couldn't be more grateful.

I have nothing but gratitude for Allen. After 14 years our dog suddenly died. No signs of suffering just old age and one day he just fell and didn’t get up. Allen basically managed everything while we sat in pieces with no idea how to care for our recently deceased dog. They were kind, compassionate, accommodating, and true to their word. We were vulnerable, and in a way he was protective. It felt like he loved our dog too. After it was all done, I went home feeling like our dog got the best care and handling. I’m still relieved by this because it’s what he deserved. My dogs remains are home now and we can begin slowly moving on. The service provided here is clean, gentle, and it respects so much, including the environment. We can continue to love our dog now, and challenges concerning his crossing over aren’t haunting us. Invaluable service.

It only took us a little research to learn that if you have your deceased pet cremated in the conventional manner through your vet, little, if any, of the remains returned to you are likely to be from your pet. That got us looking for alternative solutions when we knew our cat's time was coming. We discovered Compassionate Care Aquamation during that time. I am very happy we did.Not only did we learn that with Compassionate Care, we'd get her actual remains with more certainty after putting her to rest. We also learned that the process produced a higher volume of "ashes" and was better for the environment than fire cremation. We were intrigued, but still had questions.I spoke with the owner Alan during our cat's final days and he was empathetic, supportive, and helpful. In 15 minutes, I knew we'd found our solution. Alan was extremely communicative and flexible through the process which is important for something otherwise so unpleasant. They offered to pick up her body after euthenasia at the vet, but we chose to bring her to Compassionate Care ourselves. I am sure different people will prefer different solutions and it's nice to have that flexibility. Afterwards, Alan even arranged to meet me late on a Sunday evening to pick up her remains as soon as possible and help move the healing process along, despite our competing busy schedules.I would recommend Compassionate Pet Care Aquamation to anyone needing to make final arrangements for their pet.

Jim and Alan were so compassionate, and attentive throughout the entire process. They took the time to explain the aquamation process, speak with us about our pet and give us a tour of the facility. They made us feel comfortable and at ease. Losing a pet is always difficult, but this option made it less stressful for our family. I would highly recommend aquamation as an environmentally friendly way to honor your pet.

After calling several places about cremation of our beloved pet, Jim at Compassionate Care was by far the kindest and most sensitive person to deal with. I drove a long way to bring Coco to them for aquamation but, I am so glad that I did. They made a difficult experience so much easier.

The unexpected loss of a pet is never an experience that anyone wants to go through. We discovered my cat on a weekend morning after I had come home from an overnight shift. Alan and his company were honestly amazing. They were empathetic and warm. They answered the phone, explained everything and were at my home within 45 seamless minutes. I had the special opportunity to receive Ralphy’s remains at the facility, at which time I was in a better emotional state to really Understand the process of aquamation. I think I am now a full bred advocate for this form of body transition. Also I think I want to be Alan’s friend. It’s so hard to have to face the emotions of fellow humans everyday and they all did it with grace. I would highly highly highly recommend them to anyone, even though I hope you never have to use them.

Losing a pet at any age for any reason is a difficult, sad, and stressful time. How could anyone make the loss of a pet a more peaceful, compassionate process? Insert Alan from Compassionate Care Pet Aquamation. My boyfriend and I lost our dog tragically and suddenly about two weeks ago. My bf had conducted research for end of life services for our dogs because we wanted an alternative to the standard fire cremation. We did not think we would have to use Alan's services so soon. We are not located in NY and decided to transport our dog to Compassionate Care. Alan was extremely accommodating. He was so kind and empathetic during a very difficult time. I knew immediately that we had made the right decision for the final end of life service for our beloved dog. We were kept informed during the entire process and Alan was readily available to answer concerns and questions. We did opt to commute back to NY to pick up Fozzie (dog). Alan presented us with Fozzie's urn. My bf and I were at peace (and somewhat happy) with the result. This service needs to be an option offered by veterinarians. If we did not do the research, we would have only had burial or fire cremation as options. Pet owners should have the information given to them to chose how they would like the final disposition of their pet to take place. Thank you, Alan, for taking care of Fozzie. We appreciate you.
