Amanda helped me plan my Mother’s Memorial Service. She made sure every tiny detail was covered. Amanda was so organized and you can tell she has a lot of experience in knowing how to read exactly what type of Memorial Service you would like. She was always available anytime I had a quick question, helped me with a beautiful Obituary and created a heartwarming slideshow. Since we pre-planned with Amanda, it made it seamless when my Mother passed away at the nursing home—-we did not have to call Caring Cremations because they were already listed in my Mother’s chart and we knew they would pick her up with care and follow her pre-planned wishes. Mike, Rowyn and Julie were exemplary in handling the Memorial Service. I am so grateful I chose Caring Cremations. They created a Celebration of Life for my Mother that I will always hold near and dear to my heart ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I was truly grateful to use Caring Cremations for the cremation of my sister. Amanda and her team were so kind, caring, supportive and professional during the whole experience. The death of a loved one is difficult and painful at best and having the support of these wonderful people made a horrible situation as good as it could be. They performed the cremation, got the death certificates, answered all the questions I had and kept the whole process affordable. Unfortunately death is something that affects us all but having great, knowledgeable people on your team really makes the process go a lot smoother. Caring Cremations works directly with Conover Veterinary Hospital. I was not expecting to say goodbye to my furbaby at an appointment. But when I had to, Caring Cremations called me the same day to make arrangements for cremation. It was a short phone call with a few questions and I could pick up his remains in a few days. The staff is very kind and considerate. The facility is beautiful and conveniently located near downtown hickory with easy parking.

Talked on the phone about picking up death certificates when picking up Ashes, as we are very in need of the death certificates. Talked on Monday about the charge and asked for 10 copies. Came and they just decided to NOT fulfill our order, causing us to have to do much more work. Do not recommend. Too lazy to want to do a tiny bit of work, that THEY say that they do. Also, their main sign says "Pet Cremations", so I guess that's why they do not know much about human Cremations. I am from out of town, and this place was recommended. If I had known. I would have used another company.

Planning a funeral for a loved one is never an easy or enjoyable task to say the least; however, I have nothing but positive things to say about my experience. Amanda and the other staff were wonderful. She was so kind, personable, responsive and helped me through the whole process. I brought in many pictures and other items and they provided easels and were more than willing to help set up and move things as was desired. I wouldn’t recommend anyone else for funeral/cremation services. Ben and Amanda’s attention to detail is absolutely perfect. They thought of things I never would have. We were treated with kindness from the moment they arrived at our home to pick my dad up the evening he passed away.You are given a link to upload as MANY pictures as you want to show at the service/receiving so everyone can see your memories. They offer it to you on a cd to keep forever. They pressure you in NO way shape or form to purchase things you don’t want. In fact, they help you save money. They were SO affordable and so accommodating to our every need. Do not hesitate when choosing them!

After losing my father-in-law alongside multiple extenuating circumstances, paying for his cremation seemed impossible. I really did not know what to expect when my daughters and I walked into the building. As soon as we entered we were greeted at the door by the director. From there the experience was very calming and peaceful. As was explained to us, the decisions were easy to make. There was no pushy sales for things we did not need for the service. We did not need fancy books or pictures of our loved one. We knew what we wanted and they took care of the rest. We were very grateful for how they handled everything.

When I walked to the front desk, the woman was amazed that my dad was carrying a small (and very deceased) exotic pet. Seemed like an inappropriate time for the staff to show *amazement*. I tried to disregard it. We move to the room for a private conversation about the process, this was poorly explained. I picked an urn and opted for a paw print. I give her my credit card to pay and the woman immediately walks out and I hear “there’s a monkey in there!” … followed by… “A MONKEY! NO WAY!” I’m annoyed at this point, trying to grieving and hearing staff members excited about the opportunity to see my dead pet. I work in hospice and would NEVER carry myself in such a manner. This woman comes in the room moments later, and says, “I’m here to take the monkey”…. 1. Ask if you can take her yet and be mindful that people are grieving and may need a little more time, nobody else was waiting! 2. “The monkey” has a name. I told my dad to take all the time he needed as she impatiently stood with hands out again stating she would “take the monkey to the back”. She stood awkwardly with her hands out and then asked how she died. Eventually my dad gave her our beloved pet… as she stepped just out into the hall you hear the sounds of excitement again (from seeing a dead exotic animal). The woman comes back with my receipt and I think it’s over. My dad picked her up today and sent me a photo of an urn WITHOUT the engraved plate on the urn. He also says he had to pay extra money because they “miscalculated the taxes”. Already frustrated with the process I call the facility and someone answers with “Jenkins funeral home”. She is snappy, almost seems annoyed that I called asking about a name plate for an urn. I was told it was an extra charge… this was never mentioned and I assumed the plate just came with the already $75 extra urn- later found the same one with the plaque on Etsy for $35, shop around before you buy! I asked how much I could buy the plate for and she begrudgingly said “idk hang on”. After holding for a few minutes I hung up and decided to order my own on Amazon. I will NEVER use this company again. I would also NEVER recommend this company to anyone. I don’t feel that our sweet Zarra or my dad were treated with dignity and respect. Please seek this service through other companies if you want a smooth process, with a little compassion.

Planning a funeral is never fun, especially when its unexpected and the planner lives in another state. I was given Caring Cremations phone number to call and I can't thank that individual enough. When Amanda got on the phone, I explained the situation and advised her what I needed and she got it handled. I was on a very tight, turn around timeframe since I was coming from out of state to get my brother and bring him home. I could not be happier with the service and care that Caring Cremations provided us. They were very thoughtful and flexible to all our requests. We didn't need or want a "regular" funeral with all the formalities. We wanted an informal celebration of life, and that's what they provided. They ensured that my wife's celebration of life was exactly as we had wanted it to be.After checking around with other funeral homes, I found that none of them offered exactly what we wanted, and that they were all at least $2000 more in cost. The Caring Cremations facility is also beautiful and welcoming, unlike most funeral homes. We were able to arrange the rooms as needed, and even had drinks and snacks. We were provided a link where everyone could upload pictures of my wife, and they compiled it into an amazing slideshow. I hope to not need to visit them again, but I highly recommend Caring Cremations for a customized, affordable, beautiful experience in such a trying time.

I called Caring Cremations in a very bad mental state as my father was getting ready to pass with no insurance and no plan in place. I was distraught and scared and Amanda was like an angel on the other end of the line. She immediately made me feel comfortable and explained everything I needed to know simply and calmly. A few days later when my Dad passed, it happened to be late in the day. Amanda answered the phone and was so kind and sympathetic. She was so reassuring and I felt very confident knowing she would take good care of my Dad. When Jerry came to remove him, he placed an Army flag over him as he was transported to the car. He went above and beyond to honor my father as a veteran and I will never forget that. The next day, Amanda helped me through the process of death certificates and his obituary. Dealing with the passing of a family member is never something that is particularly easy, it becomes even more difficult when it is unexpected. This was the situation I found myself in, never having to deal with making arrangements before, with an unexpected passing, and entirely on the other side of the country. Searching through providers and having more and more questions than answers. After talking to Amanda (and others) through Caring Cremations, I was so glad to have found them. Through the entire time and process they were beyond amazing. They were so caring and compassionate, they put a priority on not only making sure that everything was handled and made sure not to add anymore stress to the situation, but they made me genuinely feel cared about throughout the whole process. Any conversation with them I was asked how I was doing, encouraged to take care of myself, and asked if there was anything else they could do. It never seemed like an automatic response; I knew if there was something I needed, they would make every attempt to make it happen.To add to their credit, there was a mix up at the hospital where they actually called a second funeral home and I received a call from that provider about having to collect remains. My first call was to Caring, in a complete panic, in a situation that could have been unimaginable where no one knew where my family member was. No, nothing of the sort, with their utmost professionalism Caring had already done just what they promised, taken care of everything. They has my family member in their care and there was no reason for the other call. They addressed this on my behalf as well, one less thing that I had to worry about during this time.Unfortunately there will be a time when we all find ourselves in a position to have to carry out someone's last wishes or plan for whatever the next phase in this journey is. It helps to have people that care, that want to help, and take their time to make those plans happen. The people are Caring Cremations are those people. I can't thank them enough for everything they have done for me and the care they provided. If you are looking for a company to carry out a funeral, cremation, any of those end of life services you will not go wrong, or regret choosing them.

Losing my Mom was extremely hard and Ben and his staff were absolutely wonderful. Alot of funeral homes are rather stoic and creepy. Ben Jenkins was so amazing with how he related to our family. It’s just impossible to express how much gratitude our family has for Ben Jenkins and Caring Cremations.Their compassion, kindness, guidance and thoughtfulness in all aspects of this painful process went above and beyond what you expect when faced with such heartache.One unexpected gesture was especially appreciated. My mother was extremely distressed that, with the supply chain shortage, a vessel for her husbands cremains may take several weeks or longer. She specifically wanted a “sailboat” themed urn, which would not be available. I wouldn’t recommend anyone else for funeral/cremation services. Ben and Amanda’s attention to detail is absolutely perfect. They thought of things I never would have. We were treated with kindness from the moment they arrived at our home to pick my dad up the evening he passed away.You are given a link to upload as MANY pictures as you want to show at the service/receiving so everyone can see your memories. They offer it to you on a cd to keep forever. They pressure you in NO way shape or form to purchase things you don’t want. In fact, they help you save money. I really did not know what to expect when my daughters and I walked into the building. As soon as we entered we were greeted at the door by the director. From there the experience was very calming and peaceful. As was explained to us, the decisions were easy to make. There was no pushy sales for things we did not need for the service. When I walked to the front desk, the woman was amazed that my dad was carrying a small (and very deceased) exotic pet. Seemed like an inappropriate time for the staff to show *amazement*. I tried to disregard it. We move to the room for a private conversation about the process, this was poorly explained. I picked an urn and opted for a paw print. I give her my credit card to pay and the woman immediately walks out and I hear “there’s a monkey in there!” … followed by… “A MONKEY! NO WAY!” I’m annoyed at this point, trying to grieving and hearing staff members excited about the opportunity to see my dead pet. I work in hospice and would NEVER carry myself in such a manner. This woman comes in the room moments later, and says, “I’m here to take the monkey”…. 1. Ask if you can take her yet and be mindful that people are grieving and may need a little more time, nobody else was waiting! 2. “The monkey” has a name. I told my dad to take all the time he needed as she impatiently stood with hands out again stating she would “take the monkey to the back”. She stood awkwardly with her hands out and then asked how she died. Eventually my dad gave her our beloved pet… as she stepped just out into the hall you hear the sounds of excitement again (from seeing a dead exotic animal). The woman comes back with my receipt and I think it’s over. My dad picked her up today and sent me a photo of an urn WITHOUT the engraved plate on the urn. He also says he had to pay extra money because they “miscalculated the taxes”. Already frustrated with the process I call the facility and someone answers with “Jenkins funeral home”. She is snappy, almost seems annoyed that I called asking about a name plate for an urn. I was told it was an extra charge… this was never mentioned and I assumed the plate just came with the already $75 extra urn- later found the same one with the plaque on Etsy for $35, shop around before you buy! I asked how much I could buy the plate for and she begrudgingly said “idk hang on”. After holding for a few minutes I hung up and decided to order my own on Amazon. I will NEVER use this company again. I would also NEVER recommend this company to anyone. I don’t feel that our sweet Zarra or my dad were treated with dignity and respect. Please seek this service through other companies if you want a smooth process, with a little compassion.

I could not be happier with the service and care that Caring Cremations provided us. They were very thoughtful and flexible to all our requests. We didn't need or want a "regular" funeral with all the formalities. We wanted an informal celebration of life, and that's what they provided. They ensured that my wife's celebration of life was exactly as we had wanted it to be.After checking around with other funeral homes, I found that none of them offered exactly what we wanted, and that they were all at least $2000 more in cost. The Caring Cremations facility is also beautiful and welcoming, unlike most funeral homes. We were able to arrange the rooms as needed, and even had drinks and snacks. We were provided a link where everyone could upload pictures of my wife, and they compiled it into an amazing slideshow. I hope to not need to visit them again, but I highly recommend Caring Cremations for a customized, affordable, beautiful experience in such a trying time.

I called Caring Cremations in a very bad mental state as my father was getting ready to pass with no insurance and no plan in place. I was distraught and scared and Amanda was like an angel on the other end of the line. She immediately made me feel comfortable and explained everything I needed to know simply and calmly. A few days later when my Dad passed, it happened to be late in the day. Amanda answered the phone and was so kind and sympathetic. She was so reassuring and I felt very confident knowing she would take good care of my Dad. When Jerry came to remove him, he placed an Army flag over him as he was transported to the car. He went above and beyond to honor my father as a veteran and I will never forget that. The next day, Amanda helped me through the process of death certificates and his obituary. My rabbit died a couple weeks before we got him cremated. Me and my significant other buried him. After we buried him, a few days days later, I felt that it was a mistake and I wasn't getting any better from his passing. So we called Caring Cremations to see if my rabbit can be cremated. Sure enough, they were able to help. The lady we spoke to was able to help me out through the loss of my pet rabbit. She was very considerate, friendly, and helpful. I couldn't have asked for a better place to get my rabbit cremated than here. I highly recommend Caring Cremations for all your cremated loved ones! I'm very satisfied with their support!

My grandfather pass this past weekend, and we knew who we wanted to cremate him. We had recently used Jenkins for my dad’s burial arrangements and wanted to have them also take care of my grandfather’s cremation. They were very helpful and made the whole process very seamless. I will always suggest Caring Cremations or Jenkins Funeral Home when someone needs a burial/cremation service.
