Ben and his team at Caring Cremations were wonderful to us when our sweet Breezy passed on a Saturday afternoon. We weren’t sure what to do on a weekend and both Shea and Ben arrived at our home immediately and treated our sweet pup with as much love and kindness as if he was a human ❤️. Dr. Laura with Caring Concepts came to our home to cross our sweet baby girl over the Rainbow Bridge. We then brought her to Pet Family Cremations and Shea greeted us with open arms. Very nice facility. So many precious urns to choose from. Shea is very patient as I was a hot mess. She's very compassionate and caring. She took great care of Lil'momma and we really appreciate that!

I cannot say enough nice things about Family Pet Cremations. My 12 yr old dog who had arthritis suddenly could not get up, loss use of rear legs then front followed. They came on a Saturday about an hr after I called them and 20 minutes after the mobile vet left. They are so caring, and compassionate. Though my heart is broken, they eased me through it. Thw building is beautiful, and private rooms are available for the grieving pet parents. They even provide obituaries, and a pet grief support group. 100% recommend, would give 10 stars if I could. They even gave me a ink footprint, a sympathy card, and a clip of fur

There is a reason Family Pet Cremations has so many 5 star reviews. The customer service was phenomenal through the whole process. The office was so clean and quiet with a separate area to talk about options and pricing. They made a memorial post on their website and Facebook of our sweet Celeste. We were able to pick up her ashes the next day. I cannot recommend this place enough for anyone in the area. Thank you so much for making the process so easy in a time of grief.

I highly recommend Family Pet Cremations for anyone who considers their pet as family. All the staff were caring, considerate, and compassionate to our needs, when we lost our 15 year old Shepard, Jasper. The night Jasper passed, was after normal hours, and Julie met us there without hesitation, and brought her husband to help. She was so compassionate while we talked and she never tried to rush us, and allowed us to just talk for a couple of hours. When Jasper was ready to pick up, Linda was the same way. She listened to us for an hour, talk about our beloved pet. Again, I highly recommend this place, in your hour of need.

Family Pet Cremation is an excellent company. When you drive up you see a beautiful building, you enter the lobby and are warmly greeted. All employees are gracious and understanding of your grief.I dropped my pet off on Thursday morning and was able to pick his ashes up on Friday.It is a wonderful business and I highly recommend it.

I cannot say enough good things about this place. Everyone that works with this company is so sweet and compassionate. They took amazing care of our Tank. It was a relief seeing how much care they gave to our sweet boy. I also was happy to know that it was a private cremation and that they actually called and said he was ready to come home within 24 hours from when they came and got him. I would recommend them to anyone and if I need them in the future with our other fur babies.. they will be the ones I call. <3

Lillibet passed away at 6:00pm: Two hours after I got her home from that butcher shop in Claremont, NC. I sat with her for over two hours trying to come to terms with her being gone, which was caused by a botched spay job at a Catawba County Humane Society clinic in Claremont, NC by a bunch of people more interested in leaving for the day than tending the little cat that they seemed to not care a bit about. I advise people to take their pets elsewhere. All those guys think about is bolting for the door at quitting time. A representative at Family Pet Cremations met me after hours as I wanted to take Lillibet there myself instead of just having a stranger pick her up from my house. The young lady at the office was very nice and did not hurry me so that I could spend a few more minutes with the little kitty saying goodbye. I am thankful that we have a place like this in Hickory.

By far the best decision I made, at a time when deciding anything was near impossible, was choosing this place to have my Baby Kitten cremated.After losing my best friend of 14 years in the worst way I was inconsolable. A neighboring family let their POS dog get out of their property and attack and kill my ]experienced indoor/(come and go as she pleases)] cat, Baby Kitten, while she was sitting on my front porch. In a timeframe of under 20 minutes, while I was inside blending up meals, my “parrot on shoulder” “love of my life” was taken from me.No amount of words can express the absolute pain and overwhelming loss that enveloped me, personified by the fact that I got NO justice from animal control enforcement after the fact due to lack of “video evidence”,, and NO remorse or accountability from the owners of the blood thirsty beast.Without getting into all the details of the situation, needless to say, I was a miserable mess. The only solace or grace granted to me in this time came from the people at Caring Cremations.They went above and beyond, showed that they truly empathized not just with their words but by actions.From staying open past closing to accommodate us comic in from out of town, to follow up emails after services were rendered and completed, I wholeheartedly felt that they were the only people who cared about what happened to us (my cat and I). In every way possible I would recommend them to others and genuinely cannot thank them enough for what they’ve done. 5 stars.

When I lost my Zoey (Doberman) just a few weeks ago this company made the process SO much easier and showed compassion when I needed it most. They met me in the middle of the night to get her and when I called at 11:30pm I was met with the utmost understanding and caring. I couldn't have asked for better when I was in pieces. I also chose to come to the location the next day to pick out what I wanted for my girl they were welcoming and really explained my options and assured me that she would be treated with the best care and thoughtfulness for this process. I really can't say enough good things about Shea, she also thought about paw prints for a tattoo because she noticed mine before it was even something I thought about which made me feel amazing because she really put herself in my shoes and I didn't feel like just another number. After my girl was cremated, they just got better. I had to meet right near closing time to pick her up and Shea was supportive and really knew that I wanted her back assured me that it would be okay she was there. She showed me everything they prepared and let me speak. I made a video of some of our memories because my dobie was such a huge part of my life and she shared in my grief. I will recommend their services and Shea to any pet owner I speak with. They had open communication, direction, information, and thoughtfulness. I treated my pet as family and they did too.

We had to say goodbye to our darling Clementine (whom we rescued ourselves with her brother Winston off the streets in Charlotte!) this week. She was our loyal companion for almost 15 years, and we miss her terribly.The staff at Caring Cremations was not only compassionate and professional, but they had Clemmie’s remains back to us in just three days. The price was reasonable, the facility is beautiful, and I can’t recommend it highly enough. It was comforting to be somewhere that understood what we were going through. Society doesn’t offer a formal space for this kind of grief, but Caring Cremations does. Thank you.

Over the past couple years I have unfortunately needed a pet cremation service 3 times and all 3 times I have used Family Pet Cremations. They are so kind and accommodating. Each time they have had the ashes ready very quickly. I know some people say “it’s just a dog” but I love my dogs very deeply and I certainly appreciate the compassion FPC has shown during such difficult times. Very highly recommend!

We HIGHLY recommend Family Pet Cremations. Our sweet 13yo lab Fenway passed away Saturday evening. We didn’t know what we would be able to do, but called Family Pet Cremations. One of the ladies came in after hours to meet us so we could drop Fenway off. She was very sweet and caring as we had to go over what we wanted for Fenway. Monday afternoon he was ready for us to pick up. We picked out the nicest wooden urn, which was also engraved. Had a paw print keepsake made, and got some of his hair in a little glass bottle. We also received a very nice sympathy card, and a certificate with his paw print stamped on it. Everyone that we spoke with was so nice and caring during this difficult time we’re going through. If you’re looking for a place for a family pet, this is it. Thank you so much for all the kindness we received.

I recently lost my baby boy Riley very unexpectedly,and being new to the area I didn't know where to turn,but from the 1st phone call to the meeting & planning and then return of my precious baby,they took care of everything for me,including my mind and my broken heart, and that they understood the pain & grief I was in.they preserved as much as they could and gave me options I didn't even know they could do! They treated us like family from the start! And made our goodbyes a beautiful moment, they also make things as affordable as possible also to fit everyone's budget! Lost the second and last of my two Labs on December 16, 2023. I am a college teacher, so it happened right after the end of the semester and just shortly before Christmas---as if there wasn't already enough stress to deal with. My big yellow boy, Luke, was just a few months shy of 14, and we knew he was approaching the end, but that doesn't take away from the sense of loss. He passed on Saturday morning, so I wasn't certain how we would proceed, but when I contacted Family Pet Cremations, they made the whole process as smooth and easy as anyone could under the circumstances. Someone met me at the site to receive Luke and there were no hitches at all. I came in the following Monday to discuss details and it went like clockwork. I was so impressed with the sensitivity and warmth I felt in the people who met with me. I never felt pressed or pressured, but they were able to offer me a variety of options regarding available services for Luke. It's never easy to lose someone you love---person or pet---but these folks were so professional and so supportive that it sure made things easier. I would recommend Family Pet Cremations to anyone who asked. Good folks and great service.

I lost my dog unexpectedly and they were AMAZING about working with me. I can’t thank them enough for everything they did for me. One of the few if only place that had after hours available because I didn’t find him until I got home from work. They really do care about your pets and they don’t rush you to make a decision. They had my baby back to me the next day. I was trying to find a picture I wanted to use of my dog and the woman I worked with said you don’t have to do that today. I just wanted to say how great the experience was. I had found out a couple years ago about this place when winning tickets on the radio and picking them up there. I had no idea they were here. But I knew after meeting the staff I would one day have to use them. We lost our baby 8 weeks ago today and when we lost her that day our vet called for them to pick up our sweet Ramsey for cremation. We had never been away from her for long. They picked her up mid morning and by mid afternoon they had her ready to bring home. They were kind and caring and understood what we were going through. Very reasonable for what they offer and I would highly recommend them to anyone that loves their pets like we loved ours. Thanks to such a great staff.

Family Pet Cremations provided the absolute best, warmest, and most genuine service for our baby Lily when she passed away. It is never easy to lose a fur baby, she was almost 17 and had a wonderful life, but it is never easy to say goodbye. If I could give 10 stars I would. Our Sparky was at end stage of sinus cancer. We had Dr Laura of Caring Concepts come to our home for euthanasia of our sweet boy. She highly recommended Family Pet Cremation and took Sparky for us. We picked Sparky up a few days later. They were so comforting and kind. When I lost my Zoey (Doberman) just a few weeks ago this company made the process SO much easier and showed compassion when I needed it most. They met me in the middle of the night to get her and when I called at 11:30pm I was met with the utmost understanding and caring. I couldn't have asked for better when I was in pieces. I also chose to come to the location the next day to pick out what I wanted for my girl they were welcoming and really explained my options and assured me that she would be treated with the best care and thoughtfulness for this process. I really can't say enough good things about Shea, she also thought about paw prints for a tattoo because she noticed mine before it was even something I thought about which made me feel amazing because she really put herself in my shoes and I didn't feel like just another number. After my girl was cremated, they just got better. I had to meet right near closing time to pick her up and Shea was supportive and really knew that I wanted her back assured me that it would be okay she was there. She showed me everything they prepared and let me speak. I made a video of some of our memories because my dobie was such a huge part of my life and she shared in my grief. I will recommend their services and Shea to any pet owner I speak with. They had open communication, direction, information, and thoughtfulness. I treated my pet as family and they did too.

Over the past couple years I have unfortunately needed a pet cremation service 3 times and all 3 times I have used Family Pet Cremations. They are so kind and accommodating. Each time they have had the ashes ready very quickly. We HIGHLY recommend Family Pet Cremations. Our sweet 13yo lab Fenway passed away Saturday evening. We didn’t know what we would be able to do, but called Family Pet Cremations. One of the ladies came in after hours to meet us so we could drop Fenway off. She was very sweet and caring as we had to go over what we wanted for Fenway. Monday afternoon he was ready for us to pick up. We picked out the nicest wooden urn, which was also engraved. Had a paw print keepsake made, and got some of his hair in a little glass bottle. We also received a very nice sympathy card, and a certificate with his paw print stamped on it. Everyone that we spoke with was so nice and caring during this difficult time we’re going through. I sadly lost 2 of my 3 fur baby cats within 4 DAYS of each other. I thought I would want my kitties close by me by burying them in the backyard. Unfortunately (or maybe fortunately) my yard is too rocky and coyotes and other wild animals roam. They would not have been safe. When I walked to the front desk, the woman was amazed that my dad was carrying a small (and very deceased) exotic pet. Seemed like an inappropriate time for the staff to show *amazement*. I tried to disregard it. We move to the room for a private conversation about the process, this was poorly explained. I picked an urn and opted for a paw print. I give her my credit card to pay and the woman immediately walks out and I hear “there’s a monkey in there!” … followed by… “A MONKEY! NO WAY!” I’m annoyed at this point, trying to grieving and hearing staff members excited about the opportunity to see my dead pet. I work in hospice and would NEVER carry myself in such a manner. This woman comes in the room moments later, and says, “I’m here to take the monkey”…. 1. Ask if you can take her yet and be mindful that people are grieving and may need a little more time, nobody else was waiting! 2. “The monkey” has a name. I told my dad to take all the time he needed as she impatiently stood with hands out again stating she would “take the monkey to the back”. She stood awkwardly with her hands out and then asked how she died. Eventually my dad gave her our beloved pet… as she stepped just out into the hall you hear the sounds of excitement again (from seeing a dead exotic animal). The woman comes back with my receipt and I think it’s over. My dad picked her up today and sent me a photo of an urn (WITHOUT) the engraved plate on the urn. He also says he had to pay extra money because they “miscalculated the taxes”. Already frustrated with the process I call the facility and someone answers with “Jenkins funeral home”. She is snappy, almost seems annoyed that I called asking about a name plate for an urn. I was told it was an extra charge… this was never mentioned and I assumed the plate just came with the already $75 extra urn- later found the same one with the plaque on Etsy for $35, shop around before you buy! I asked how much I could buy the plate for and she begrudgingly said “idk hang on”. After holding for a few minutes of waiting on her to return… I hung up and decided to order my own on Amazon. I will NEVER use this company again. I would also NEVER recommend this company to anyone. I don’t feel that our sweet Zarra or my dad were treated with dignity and respect. Please seek this service through other companies if you want a smooth process, with a little compassion.

My dog had to be euthanized Friday 3/17 at the emergency vet in Hickory. Family Pet pick her up the same afternoon and by Monday morning at 9am everything was completed. Her ashes and a nice folder came with her as well as a laminated copy of her cremation document with her paw print on it. They also saved a little clump of her hair per my request. I picked out a nice wooden box to put her and a few other things in. The process was smooth and well taken care of. Lost the second and last of my two Labs on December 16, 2023. I am a college teacher, so it happened right after the end of the semester and just shortly before Christmas---as if there wasn't already enough stress to deal with. My big yellow boy, Luke, was just a few months shy of 14, and we knew he was approaching the end, but that doesn't take away from the sense of loss. He passed on Saturday morning, so I wasn't certain how we would proceed, but when I contacted Family Pet Cremations, they made the whole process as smooth and easy as anyone could under the circumstances. Someone met me at the site to receive Luke and there were no hitches at all. I came in the following Monday to discuss details and it went like clockwork. I was so impressed with the sensitivity and warmth I felt in the people who met with me. I never felt pressed or pressured, but they were able to offer me a variety of options regarding available services for Luke. It's never easy to lose someone you love---person or pet---but these folks were so professional and so supportive that it sure made things easier. I lost my dog unexpectedly and they were AMAZING about working with me. I can’t thank them enough for everything they did for me. One of the few if only place that had after hours available because I didn’t find him until I got home from work. They really do care about your pets and they don’t rush you to make a decision. I just wanted to say how great the experience was. I had found out a couple years ago about this place when winning tickets on the radio and picking them up there. I had no idea they were here. But I knew after meeting the staff I would one day have to use them. We lost our baby 8 weeks ago today and when we lost her that day our vet called for them to pick up our sweet Ramsey for cremation. We had never been away from her for long. They picked her up mid morning and by mid afternoon they had her ready to bring home. They were kind and caring and understood what we were going through. If I could give 10 stars I would. Our Sparky was at end stage of sinus cancer. We had Dr Laura of Caring Concepts come to our home for euthanasia of our sweet boy. I had called caring creations before I had a appointment to get my ferret euthanized at the vet to get pricing info on how much it would be for her to be cremated and explained that I was currently out of work due to a injury on the job and asked I spoke with the office manager and asked if there was any way that I could make payments until my work comp check started and she said they usually don’t do that but she understood my situation and knew that I wanted my baby back home with me and that would be fine I could pay off in 4 weeks overall the experience was one of the best I have have at any buisness. the staff was very compassionate and helpful and luckily I didn’t have to wait 4 weeks I picked her up the next day. I want to say thank y’all so much for making it a good experience during my difficult time and for being as understanding and compassionate as y’all was. Family Pet Cremations Hickory was absolutely wonderful during a hard time. We made the decision to have our dog euthanized and cremated. When we arrived they had a nice, private room waiting for us. They made a bed for our dog on the floor out of blankets and towels. They gave us time to say our last goodbyes and the Veterinarian on hand was great. She explained the process to us and gave us all the time we needed. My husband was able to hold our dog as he passed and we were able to bring our other dog with us. After the vet confirmed he was gone they allowed us to sit with him as long as we needed. Our dog was euthanized on a Friday and his remains were ready by Monday. So they have a very quick turn around or you can wait while they do the cremation. Having to euthanize a pet is never easy, but I am so thankful we found Family Pet Cremations. I would highly recommend them to anyone that is facing such a hard choice.

At Family Pet Cremations I felt very comfortable and they were very professional.I had two of my beautiful furbaby’s pass away 24hours apart.7/20/2023 and 7/21/2023. Presley was my 16 and half Shih Tzu. He was beautiful sweet and just a loving furbaby. Then, Lucy our mixed Terrier that was 11 years old. So loving. She passed away on Friday night. My family was devastated. My heart was so broken loosing two of our beautiful family furbabies so close together.My daughter called Pet Cremations. The lady was so kind, then we went in on Friday morning and was met so kindly. This place is so modern and didn’t smell like your average funeral home. Rowan took Presley into her arms so caring like he was her own.We did the paperwork. Then, we had to take Lucy in on Saturday morning in which the same sweet young lady took Lucy so caring into her arms. We did the paperwork and went to pick Lucy back up on Monday. We were greeted by a very sweet lady. This staff are so comforting and understanding because they have furbabies also.I highly recommend this place for animals and humans.They cremate all animals individually and I have seen at a Vets office where they throw the frozen body’s of someone’s loved pet into a truck and sent away to be cremated. I didn’t want this for my loved beautiful furbabies.Yes am still broken-hearted about my two beautiful furbabies but feel at ease that I took them to a good place.May God Rest their beautiful souls and I will see them again in Heaven.I will be making my own arrangements at the FAMILY PET CREMATIONS.Yes they have an area for humans too.I got to meet the owner, Ben Jenkins, Amanda (who will be doing my arrangements) and another sweet lady.I thank the whole staff for such loving care.

Jenkins cremated my Mason in 2021, so when Akron began to show signs of his final days I called again. I asked how much I could buy the plate for and she begrudgingly said “idk hang on”. After holding for a few minutes of waiting on her to return… I hung up and decided to order my own on Amazon. I will NEVER use this company again. I would also NEVER recommend this company to anyone. I don’t feel that our sweet Zarra or my dad were treated with dignity and respect. Please seek this service through other companies if you want a smooth process, with a little compassion.

My dog had to be euthanized Friday 3/17 at the emergency vet in Hickory. Family Pet pick her up the same afternoon and by Monday morning at 9am everything was completed. Her ashes and a nice folder came with her as well as a laminated copy of her cremation document with her paw print on it. They also saved a little clump of her hair per my request. I picked out a nice wooden box to put her and a few other things in. The process was smooth and well taken care of. I highly recommend these folks if you your fur baby cremated and returned with care and dignity. John King

We recently lost our beloved 8 year old dog, Banjo after a very sudden illness. He passed peacefully in our arms at 3 AM. We knew we wanted to have him cremated, but was completely overwhelmed with what we would do with our sweet boy in the hours it would be until his vet office opened. I called Family Pet Cremations at 4 AM and talked to their on call service who told me someone would call me as soon as they were available. Ben called me at 5 AM and was so wonderful and calming, he told me they could send someone to come get our boy and they would take care of everything. We are around 20 minutes from Hickory, and Bradley was there at 6:15 to get Banjo. As devastating and awful it is to lose your best friend, Family Pet Cremations made the logistics of it so seamless and easy. I am so thankful for that. They returned Banjo to us within 24 hours in the most beautiful urn with a special paw print, nose print and a little lock of hair. I will always treasure these and I will always be so thankful for what Family Pet Creations did for us and for our boy, Banjo.

I had called caring creations before I had a appointment to get my ferret euthanized at the vet to get pricing info on how much it would be for her to be cremated and explained that I was currently out of work due to a injury on the job and asked I spoke with the office manager and asked if there was any way that I could make payments until my work comp check started and she said they usually don’t do that but she understood my situation and knew that I wanted my baby back home with me and that would be fine I could pay off in 4 weeks overall the experience was one of the best I have have at any buisness. the staff was very compassionate and helpful and luckily I didn’t have to wait 4 weeks I picked her up the next day. I want to say thank y’all so much for making it a good experience during my difficult time and for being as understanding and compassionate as y’all was. I will definitely continue using y’all in the future for any of my other fur babies

Family Pet Cremations Hickory was absolutely wonderful during a hard time. We made the decision to have our dog euthanized and cremated. When we arrived they had a nice, private room waiting for us. They made a bed for our dog on the floor out of blankets and towels. They gave us time to say our last goodbyes and the Veterinarian on hand was great. She explained the process to us and gave us all the time we needed. My husband was able to hold our dog as he passed and we were able to bring our other dog with us. After the vet confirmed he was gone they allowed us to sit with him as long as we needed. Our dog was euthanized on a Friday and his remains were ready by Monday. So they have a very quick turn around or you can wait while they do the cremation. Having to euthanize a pet is never easy, but I am so thankful we found Family Pet Cremations. I would highly recommend them to anyone that is facing such a hard choice.

At Family Pet Cremations I felt very comfortable and they were very professional.I had two of my beautiful furbaby’s pass away 24hours apart.7/20/2023 and 7/21/2023. Presley was my 16 and half Shih Tzu. He was beautiful sweet and just a loving furbaby. Then, Lucy our mixed Terrier that was 11 years old. So loving. She passed away on Friday night. My family was devastated. My heart was so broken loosing two of our beautiful family furbabies so close together.My daughter called Pet Cremations. The lady was so kind, then we went in on Friday morning and was met so kindly. This place is so modern and didn’t smell like your average funeral home. Rowan took Presley into her arms so caring like he was her own.We did the paperwork. Then, we had to take Lucy in on Saturday morning in which the same sweet young lady took Lucy so caring into her arms. We did the paperwork and went to pick Lucy back up on Monday. We were greeted by a very sweet lady. This staff are so comforting and understanding because they have furbabies also.I highly recommend this place for animals and humans.They cremate all animals individually and I have seen at a Vets office where they throw the frozen body’s of someone’s loved pet into a truck and sent away to be cremated. I didn’t want this for my loved beautiful furbabies.Yes am still broken-hearted about my two beautiful furbabies but feel at ease that I took them to a good place.May God Rest their beautiful souls and I will see them again in Heaven.I will be making my own arrangements at the FAMILY PET CREMATIONS.Yes they have an area for humans too.I got to meet the owner, Ben Jenkins, Amanda (who will be doing my arrangements) and another sweet lady.I thank the whole staff for such loving care.

I know to some they are “just dogs” to me they are family and so much more. I cannot say enough good about the service I received from Caring Cremations or Jenkins Funeral Home. Jenkins cremated my Mason in 2021, so when Akron began to show signs of his final days I called again. They directed me to caring cremations and assured me it was their sister office.The compassion, the service. From the bottom of my heart all I can say is “Thank You” . I was very upset but it was so hard being around them they made me laugh and smile and made me feel like I’ve known them forever special shout out to the young lady I didn’t catch her name but she had a new cat potentially named “mush” or “moush” how ever you decided to spell it I hope you found a way though, but you were so sweet words can’t even explain how you really made me feel that “even though my pets are dead their memory will alway live on forever” her exact words and I have carried that with me everyday since.
